and DM, i'm personally not too interested in your RPG suggestion. though the idea of human characters being included in ISS has come up in the past. the end result would be similar to what you've suggested, i think.
But anyway, if i do join in, I'll be joining in as a merc. i have a couple of ideas in mind anyway...

I think Total war studios has oversteped it's boundries with Shogun 2's A.I. I just came off the demo and it's "short tutorial" and I was thrashed (that is a serious understatment but I can't say anything really graphic) that was a tutorial and the A.I. could build more troops, ships, and generals faster than me so Not only did two giant invasion forces I sent get stomped flat as soon as they set foot they even attacked my land and killed my faction! 
WTH they gotta fix that, the only two reasons I buy and play their games is to learn history and steamroll the A.I. in campain, I s*ck at online multiplayer and set battles get boring after a while

Just had a HUGE WTF moment on TF2 today. In a "Sudden Death" mode, we rushed the enemy as Scouts, and most of us SOMEHOW got murdered by thin air. Later figured out it was a glitched train that plowed into most of us on the tracks. We was like lemmings when that happened!
