you'd think after two wars that covered the news for months everyone would know where Kuwait is...
Kuwait is a small country in the Persian Gulf, North East of Saudi Arabia and South East of Iraq. it's the reason Iraq started a war in 1990. Kuwait predates Iraq by over 200 years [Kuwait also predates the US by about 80-150 years, IIRC], and yet the Iraqis have some twisted belief that Kuwait broke off of THEIR state at some point, and that it belongs to them, the fact being Kuwait's original inhabitants came from the nomadic tribes in the middle of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia [KSA] because their homeland was dry and lifeless and couldn't support them.
so yeah. colourful history we have.
anyway. we had some good rain this year. rained almost continuously for a day, on and off for about 2 weeks, but not much. that was about 2 months ago. got another few hours of heavy rain afew nights ago. that was about it though. good by Kuwait's standards but with the government ruining the civilian gardens the country's looking more and more like a wasteland than a country [not that it looks like it's in disarray. it's just so....dry and yellow looking]...so every little bit of natural plant life is welcome...hence my rain comment.
