Thats almost as pro as when I got a concussion playing football with my friends and they thought I was just tired and ssitting down for awhile, then they left and I woke up there like an hour later and my mom took me to the hospital... I was like what, 10 or 11 then.

I can top that.
I was hanging out at a former friend's house, with a group of people. We were horsing around and whatnot; I pushed a kid, he hit his head on the couch. What does he do in response? Take the nearest thing, which happened to be a pool cue stick, and try to jab me with it. What invariably happens? He manages to stab my eye. So, after one of the others trying not to laugh, and another running to get me paper towels or tissues or whatever the hell it was, they tell me to walk on home and tell my parents, etc etc.
Notice how I said former friends.


No doubt embellished unconsciously, but yeah.

Would've been killed in 2nd grade if I wasn't pulled out of the way from a speeding SUV that somewhat lost control and went up onto the sidewalk. Almost killed by a snow plow truck. Almost broke my arm because of going full speed (about 7 or so MPH) and hitting into a brick wall, later almost broke it because of the bike ride. Hospitalized for pneumonia.
Nearly taken to hospital after running and asthma acting up, couldn't stand up without support, gasping for air, dizzy, lightheaded, shaking, couldn't see straight.. would've collapsed on the floor without hanging onto things. Put on a medicine that basically just about made me nuts. Passed out twice at the holidays because of such intense heat (104 fever).

The one thing that was legitimately terrifying was the nearly passing out incident with the asthma. Happened again later, except I did actually collapse that time with a bag of newspapers, alone up the block at 5 AM in 2-3 ft of snow.

Otherwise.. breathing problems/lung spasms (you haven't a clue how painful they are), heart problems occasionally, leg issues, skin problems and I don't mean acne.

I got burned on a tray once while getting baguettes out of the oven at work once...
Ack I hate it when I can't sleep! That and I don't really want to work five to eleven at night.

red hot spike through the left cheek when i was a kid [it was when i was first getting the hang of walking. can't remember how old i was]. fell over while walking and into an old fashioned tea stove. had it not hurt so much i could probably have eaten through that hole. turned into a two inch scar. very visible in person. probably the main reason most of my characters have scars on the left side of their face


aside from that...extreme case of hypothermia and a 109 degree fever in primary school after a kid pushed me in an ice cold puddle [it was more a pool at that point. about mid-lower leg depth] in the middle of January...come to think of it...that may be the main reason i loathe cold weather so much...
