Well, I'd control Robert. Then I'd have other people that want to control one tell me. I'd set the limit to, say, 15.

Again, wait to start this plot. Like I said, something will happen soon, so hold off for a bit...

Ya I know, i'm just making sure if I do get through, I'm prepared, so I don't have to figure out much. But, do human characters need profiles or is it like GEW?

James Bond with Jurassic Park don't mix is all I can say. Otherwise I'd go for a Turok RPG instead. But seeing as Turok is not exactly highly likely as an RPG or even an E-War on this website, I must say that I don't like this RPG idea of yours so much.

I'd suggest another Dino RPG but then again there's ISS. But I just think it could be based on Pangea at a certain time period. There could be a lot more enviornments available to us like a desert and volcanic terrain.

good god...i leave for a few hours to get some rest and whackyideas that haven't start flying in every direction....what the hell...

LE: look, RPGs after FPS Games is a concept that is almost completely out of the question...same with limited-storyline movies...

Zephyr: the idea itself isn't bad, but TT's already pointed out the similarities it has to Space E-War. Also, as i said DOZENS of times before, and this is something important that i want EVERYONE TO READ:

WE ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH RPGS! ANY MORE AND ALL OF THEM WILL BEGIN TO DIE OUT!!!

hell, some of our RPGs aren't even being played often. some are almost dead because nobody can find time to RP in them or even LOOK at them! look at Sea RPG! you guys requested and suggested it and when we gave it to you you abandoned it. now me and IK are the only players and the lack of activity is making it not worth posting there...i mean, what the hell?! sometimes i post in an RPG and wait for 2 days while a person finishes off with ANOTHER RPG just so i can get a reply...i mean what the hell?! you STILL want MORE RPGs?! guys...just give it a rest for a while! the universe won't implode if we don't have an RPG for EVERY TOPIC ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH!

just as a warning to members in the future: RPGs that are suggested then aren't played will be locked and deleted a week later, unless the members give me a good reason not to do so.

Well, I'm waiting for the sea creatures to get out of the park so my sperm whale can make an entry, I'll post there once that's finished.

No profiles, okay. I'm all prepared for my ISS plot, so if it is approved things can move quickly. I'll just put a hold on the signing up stuff for when/if it is approved. I'm brain storming with it. If it's denied, i'll just drop it.

As decided by the staff, this topic will be locked until further notice.

As KP said, we have enough RPGs, and some that were requested aren't even being posted in. People should start thinking of posts instead of new RPGs.

Locked.

As said in Off Topic, since every "dead" RPG has been deleted, new RPGs can be requested here.

Remember: For an idea to become an RPG, it must first have 3 others along with the creator who want the RPG, and then must be approved by the staff. Before creation, they must provide the staff with examples of the first post for the RPG, including profile templates and such.

This DOES NOT mean that people should IMMEDIATELY start suggesting RPGs. If people focus more on creating new RPGs, then posting in the old, this topic will be locked again.

Wow...and finally things lighten up enough for us to take the tarp off this and reopen it

OK guys. same rules that used to apply here still apply. think your suggestions over properly before mentioning them, and make sure they're decently playable. as always, you need 3 member votes for your RPG to be OK'ed for creation. any less and it's stalled until you get the required number of votes.

as i said before, don't go overboard with RPGs. make ones that are unique and one of a kind. ones that aren't present on the site already, be it entirely, or partially [for example, the suggestion a while back of a Turok E-War with spies...dinos are already in ISS...no need for more].

Let the suggestions commence!....if they're worth it...

For centuries, the Zoidians lived in small tribes with an emphasis on survival, as their planet was wreaked with earthquakes and volcanoes. As the tectonic instability quieted down, their numbers grew, and people had time to squabble over territory. They took and modified the wild Zoids of the planet, eventually altering and changing them into massive war machines. In ZAC 1955, Helic Muroa of the Wind Tribe, who had tired of the constant battles, united the fifty tribes of the Central Continent into a single nation. He managed to convince his rival Guylos (of the Earth Tribe) to ally with him as well.

Helic's two sons, Helic II and Zenebas Muroa, inherited his nation after his death in ZAC 1978. Zenebas favored aggressive foreign policy, preferring to attack first and ask questions later in contrast to his brother's more peaceful approach. Tensions mounted, and he left after a bitter quarrel and framing by the Republic assembly, splitting the continent into two groups; the Helic Republic in the east and the Zenebas Empire in the west. The two nations went to war in ZAC 1980, beginning a series of low-scale conflicts.

In ZAC 2029, a ship from Earth, the Globally 3, crashed on Zi in the middle of the Central Continent. The survivors joined both the Empire and the Republic, using advanced Earth technologies to increase the war potential of the Zoids. The intensity of the war increased, as new Zoids like the Gojulas and Iron Kong were deployed. The two sides battled for nearly a decade, until the Republic deployed the super-heavy Ultrasaurus. With the Ultrasaurus, the Helic Republic was able to defeat the Zenebas Empire.

Emperor Zenebas himself fled, traveling to the Dark Continent of Nyx. Once there, he made a bargain with the emperor of the Guylos Empire to rebuild his army. In ZAC 2042, he returned, invading the Republic with a force of new Zoids. The Zenebas forces quickly advanced with the rollout of the Death Saurer in ZAC 2042, crushing the capital of the Republic. The Republic's government survived, and planned a counter-offensive in the midst of guerrilla warfare in the mountain ranges. In ZAC 2048, they deployed a new Zoid, the Madthunder. With the new Zoid, they were able to defeat the Death Saurer armies and destroy the Zenebas Empire.

Zenebas fled again, but before he could reach the Dark Continent, the forces of the Guylos Empire ambushed him. His army and its Zoids were absorbed into Guylos', who started a new series of conflicts with the Republic. After a successful landing and a long offensive through the brutal terrain of Nyx, the Republic army faced Guylos' trump card, the incredibly powerful Gilvader. To defend itself, the Republic created the Orudios and finally the King Gojulas, a monstrous Zoid that spearheaded a final offensive.

Before the last battle could take place, a meteor struck one of Zi’s three moons, which shattered, raining meteors down on Zi. The Central Continent was sundered into three sections, while part of the Dark Continent sank into the ocean. Most of the wild Zoids, as well as many of the Zoidians themselves, were wiped out...

The human descendants of the Globally 3 crash survived the destruction, and set about rebuilding the nations of Zi. In ZAC 2096, after decades of peace and recovery from the devastation, Emperor Guylos died. As his grandson, Rudolph, was too young to rule, his chief minister, Gunter Prozen was named regent. In ZAC 2099, Prozen declared war on the Helic Republic, and launched an invasion of the Western Continent of Europa to attack the Republic. The Republic's forces launched a counterattack, but were overwhelmed.

In the aftermath, the Eisen Dragoons took over the Guylos Empire and re-formed it as the Neo-Zenebas Empire, under the rule of their leader, Wolff Muroa. They invaded the Central Continent and, with the new Seismosaurus Zoid, conquered the entire continent in ZAC 2106, forcing the Republic to retreat to the Eastern Continent.

However, in ZAC 2109, the Republic's forces returned from their exile on the Eastern Continent. They drove the Empire's forces back using the newly developed Liger Zero Phoenix, Jet Falcon, and Gairyuki. The battle ended with the Republic reclaiming their capital, and forcing the Zenebas Empire back to the western half of the Central Continent.

Now it is nearly 200 years later and the Empire and Republic continue there ageless war...

Rules

-Do to high structural integrity the death of a pilot in Zoid-Zoid combat will only result as an accident, (unless player has permission to finish another player off when their zoid has become immobilized) in other words zoids want to immobilize at any means nessecary and possible overwhelming force could result in death. Remember a zoid is alive so if surrounded by enemies it will stop one enemy in its tracks and move on, they dont want to risk their own lives thus zoids simply refuse commands which i can force upon any players trying to kill other players off
-Zoids maybe living but are still mechanical thus after taking damage will need repairs, this also goes for mechanical stress and wear and tear.
- Powerplaying is somewhat vague as it all depends on the zoid thats why their are limitations, you cant have a superpowerful zoid like the Gojulas be able to move fast enough to fire its cannons at a fast moving target. Even the Geno Saurer has a limit that forces it to stand immobile to fire it powerful main weapon.
-No magic this is sci-fi
i might need to figure out a few more rules i dont know

Profile

Pilot

Pilot Name:
Age:
Gender:
Faction: Empire, Republic, there is even freelance which is basically mercenaries bandit vigilantes and bounty hunters
Personality:
History:

Zoid

Name: ( this is the zoid type)
Type: (dont get it confused this is zoid classification, scorpian type, raptor, cheetah etc.)
Registration Number: (this can be looked up based on the zoid)
Height:
Length:
Weight:
Max speed:(all four of these can be looked up)
Stage: (Everyone must start wiht a basic stage)
Class: (beta alpha omega legendayr etc, all of which can be looked up)

Features: (looked up)
Weapons: Certain weapons can be changed but they can effect a Zoids combat output

Pilot-Zoid Link: Zoids being living creatures often show a consciousness all their own. In some rare cases more advanced zoids or even very rare zoids tend to show a preference for pilots based on personality, or possibly there is more too it then that, no one knows. Some zoids will remain inactive or utterly uncontrollable until the right pilot crosses their path. For RP purposes, that is assuming this RPG becomes active and depending on how many people join there will be a limit to this based on the first ones who ask for this Pilot-Zoid Link.
Their isnt much silver lining involved the only benefit being the Zoid is untameable by other pilots ex. someone attempting to steal or hijack it while the current pilot still lives. and that the zoid adjusts to its pilots personality and style thus allowing it to perform as its pilot would if said pilot were to fall unconsious in combat or even die from an overwhelming attack to the cockpit of the zoid, of course such an attack would destroy/kill the zoid and the only salvageable part being the Zoid core, which is basically a mechanized soul in a sense.

unfortunatley yes alot of stuff has to be looked up but thats why i have a list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Zoids

Well im thinking about Fallout 3 but im going to be more specific
well if you havent played fallout 3 your born in an uderground bunker called vaults to hide from the nuclear war (its the year 2227) you grow up and you escape in search for your father (or you just escape cause you want 2) when yout outside the world is destroyed (you start in the capital of Washington DC) theres many monsters like Ghouls (people overcharged with mutation and heat) supermutants ( people born as mutants) theres The Brother Hood Of Steel(good and rebellions) and the Enclave (bad and goverment).

Heres the caracters information:

Name:
man or female:
Job: (ex:garabge cleaner = 5 radiation resistance.)
Age:

Some monsters and characters
Ghouls (good ghouls)
Feral Ghouls (Cannibal Ghouls)
Raiders
Supermutants
Dog
Eyebot (radio transmiter of the enclave equiped with a mini lazer)
Enclave Solider
Brother Hood Of Steel Paladins
Brother Hood Of Steel Kinght
Behemoth (Giant supermutant)
Dogmeat( freindly dog)
Fawkes ( freindly supermutant)
Three Dog (radio brodcaster of The GRS studio radio station)
Citizen
Police Guard
Protectron ( robot that protection PS: you need a specific identification like if its a certain company's robot you need a worker's identy card)
RoboBrain (same as Protectron)
Mr.Handy (the same as all the same robots but it activates by voice)
The Glowing One ( ghouls with a bunch of radiantion)

Some rules hat should be on:
all players start witha 10mm pistol
no magic or all the stuff
your not god so you cant get everything good so make some bad stuff
if you kill baddies you get stuff from the good guys but your going to be wanted for a price for the bad guys. The same thing if you kill to many goodies.
Dont kill another player unless the other player give you permission to

both sound fairly interesting, though i'm not a big fan [hell, i barely know it, and would have extreme trouble imagining or playing] Zoids...however this apocalypse one sounds interesting...but i think there's a bit too much tech in it for a post apocalyptic world...also, there is one point here that i'd advise we get rid of, as it has a tendency to kill the fun in RPGs:

(ex:garbage cleaner = 5 radiation resistance.)

numbers have a horrible tendency to completely shut down RPGs when used regularly [i was an eye witness of this in several cases. one of the least relevent, but still applicable ones, was REORPG, which we deleted due to lack of activity. other, more old fashioned RPGs try and use numbers, but unless they have a very powerful player fanbase to begin with, they fail].

but the base idea is very interesting. perhaps something based more on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game? despite it's various oddities, i think it's a more realistic base for this sort of thing than Fallout 3 would be...

and then, why base it off games at all? the beauty of RPGs is that they let your creativity run wild. think of something, see what you can come up with...

I agree. Making RPGs about specific media (Games, movies, books whatever) usually results in death. ISS is basically "Dinosaur RPG" with Jurassic Park style dinos, hence why any dinosaurs, even those not actually included in JP, are able to be RPed with.

An apocalypse RPG would be interesting, just simply make general rules about it. Like, how did the apocalypse start? What was it that "destroyed the world"? What would the players do/see?

As for the Zoids RPG...I enjoyed the series in the past, and know a few things about it, but once again the specifics make me steer clear. We can't just say "Mech RPG", because that would basically be SEW :P

Appocolypse rpg was suggested ages ago, remember? It didnt get enough votes.

Don't know anything about Zoids, your description confuses me greatly on the details, so my guess is that anyone who never saw/played it before wouldn't have a clue whats going on

I know how about a Faery RPG. You could either be a creature of faerie or a human and you could come from one of the two courts (Seelie or Unseelie) or neither (Neutral). By the by fairies are actually acceptable, their just like humans except different and some are actually the small pixie like things we know and love. And there is also a king or queen or both for each Court.

Name:
Gender:
Species:
Height:
Court:
History(optional):
Wingspan(optional):
Sugar. Spice. Everything twice. I'm the left and the right, in a word: Nice.
