Septimus eyed Aviva, sighing. "He's wary of elves. when i met him he was tied up under threat of death in a village of elves, simply because he started sniffing around the homes. they were planning to either tame him, or kill him if they could not. I intervened to free him, but he has been very wary since. what happened earlier was because he thought Arsenic had us in a similarly dangerous situation. hence his aggression" he growled as he eyed the two...

Aviva paused. "I don't know whether to call him brave, or a fool," she growled after a moment. Arsenic shook his head. 'Which elves did he run into?' he asked quietly.

"A small village a few miles from the Germanian city in the mountains. close to the shore" responded Septimus as he eyed Arsenic. "I don't see the problem with his endeavour. I mean we make contact with humans and elves ourselves. I deal with them on a regular basis. i trade with them, converse with them. Is it so strange that other Dragons share that interest in other creatures?" he added as he glanced at Aviva...

Desrium cocked his head at a new sound. The sound of rustling plants and a dull thumping noise. It was rappid and obviously closer than the call he heard before. It was getting closer still, as the faint noise slowly grew louder, as if the horse was running. He shook his head again, thinking that it must be running from a carnivore on the hunt. "It will learn if it survives" He thought as he pushed through an especially thick patch of vegetation. "And continue on with its life-"

As he parted one last line of shrubs, he came face to face with a hideous beast. "How ironic" He thought, eyes flashing when the concept of irony was revealed to him. It stood upright with a slumped posture and its body was a mass of muscle. If it didnt slump, it could easilly be over seven feet tall. Its head was round, and its features prominent, especially its eyes and jaw. The brows of its eyes were large and boney, petruding outwards so that the formed a V-shaped shield over the eyes, which were a dull green in color with a pitch black horizontal line serving as a pupil. The bone of its jaws were clearly visable underneath a mottled gray and brown skin. Its nose was nothing more than two slits above its upper lip. The lips parted, revealing several interlocking needle like teeth, and it let out a snort, the slit-nose flaring. Its breathing was akin to a dog's panting, rappid huffing breaths. Upon a few of its exhales, Desrium said with disgust in his voice "Putrid" A split second later, he threw himself to the side, rolling across the ground as the creature lunged forward, its jaws snapping loudly. The thicket of leaves and branches exploded with its movement, a gaping hole in the vegetation where the creature stepped through. The animal now stood where Desrium once did, its bulky arms hanging at its side. It had three fingered hands, sharp claws on each. Its feet were the same, three toed and tipped with dark gray claws. Desrium stood up from the crouching stance he took at the end of the roll and swiftly drew his blade, holding it so that the tip was pointed at the beast, his hands keeping a tight grip on the hilt...

Arsenic's lip curled. 'I think I'm going to want a word with them...' He shot a glance at Aviva, who flicked out her tongue in disdain. "Some are still convinced, as five-year-olds are, that the sun rises and sets at their command and the world revolves around them," she growled. "They believe they're above everyone and everything else. Perhaps your...friend had the misfortune to run into such people."

"I dont take you as the type that likes to reason," Desrium said to the beast, side stepping around it. Its gaze followed him, its lips curled and claws on full display. "But Ive been wrong in that regard before" He continued. "So, if you can s-" He was going to say "speak", when suddenly the beast lashed out with suprising speed. It swung its arms about, which made Desrium dive into another roll, the steaks nearly falling out of the pouch with the movement. He stopped in a crouch just to the beast's side, slashing the side of its leg with a quick swing of the blade. It let out a bellow of pain and spun its body about, swinging an arm to back hand the armored being away, but Desrium brought the sword down on it before it made impact, the momentum of the limb only serving to drive the sharp blade deeper until it hit bone. The creature let out a screech of agony as Desrium stood up and wrenched the jagged edged sword from the wound, blood running along the grooves in the weapon once more. The creature let out a gruff snarl at Desrium as it started to step back from him, not taking its eyes off of him until it moved back into the underbrush. From there, it turned around and shot off into the forest, the rustling quickly receading as it fled, not wanting to risk another major injury. "Ill take that...as a no then" Desrium said after the beast retreated before looking to the blood dripping off the sword. "And I just cleaned it too..." He said as he swung it over his shoulder and slid it back into its sheathe, walking through the mangled gap in the vegetation the creature had made when it attacked.

The dragon blinked once, brushing the simmering ember off his snout with a foreclaw. "So be it." Suddenly, the same foreclaw lashed out and smashed downward into Uriel with much more force than the Lethrblaka had done, sending the smaller dragon tumbling away, the wind knocked out of him. The dragon did not bother to pursue, instead calmly watching as Uriel fell, purplish flames still licking at his jaws...

Uriel was ready for an attack, and thus recovered quickly, taking a few deep breathes after he stopped, shaking his head to clear his gaze. Soaring off to the side, Uriel swerved upwards in an arch until he was heading back toward the larger dragon from above, the high pitched shriek beginning again...

The dragon looked up at Uriel and bellowed, a roar that could even be heard from far below, on the ground. As he did so, the flickering "fire" in his jaws exploded outward in a concentrated beam. The energy, however, was not fire, but a malevolent magical force that corrupted flesh and drained the life from those it touched...

Uriel swerved, narrowly avoiding the beam and unleashing his own attack at the same time, deployed farther from the target then he would've liked, but still giving the much larger dragon little room to evade without a scratch...

Serenity tried to ignore Revion and his whinnies for her to come back. She did not want to deal with him. She had to get away from him, for at least a little while. She focused on the path ahead and made sure to steer clear of trees and fallen logs.

Revion could see that Serenity was getting further away from him. He could barely keep up with her fast pace. "You're going to get yourself hurt, come back," he tried to whinny out to her, hoping that she would hear.

Suddenly, the filly skidded to a halt at the sound of a shriek. She pricked her ears toward the sound, curious. It sounded like a creature in pain, but she could not put her hoof on what kind of creature it was. She nervously backed up a little and stayed quiet. Maybe she should hide? She peered around the forest, looking to hide somewhere. She trotted over to the safety of a clump a bushes and stood quietly, waiting. What if the creature passed her area? She could hear a distant rustling and grew nervous.

The black unicorn could see that he was getting closer, but not close enough still! At the moment, all he could see was a distant white dot. He also halted at the sound of the shriek and nickered nervously. What was that thing?

The larger dragon lifted his foreclaw again as the beam stopped, purple energy swirling around it. The fireball seemed to swerve in mid-air, hitting the dragon dead center in his palm, but didn't explode, instead dissipating into sparks. The energy around his claw intensified, then dimmed and vanished as the dragon clenched his fist. "You have no idea what you're dealing with, do you?" he snarled. The rest of the dragon's body, a horrid mockery of what most would consider a "normal" dragon, emerged from the clouds and began to shimmer with purple energy as he prepared another attack...

Continuing without pause, Uriel slipped back into the clouds, disappearing from sight....

The purple glow intensified again, expanding rapidly. Both Lethrblaka swiftly backed off as tendrils of the life-sucking energy began working their way through the sky, seeking out Uriel...

Easily outpacing the tendrils, Uriel continued to weave through the clouds, putting a great deal of distance between himself and the other dragon in a very short amount of time...

The rustling grew louder and louder over the minutes that passed, until suddenly a being appeared from the undergrowth, but it was no muscle bound beast. The armored figure burst out of the thicket, glad to have made it through the dense shrubs and bushes. After the short battle with the forest beast, the dull thumping had suddenly stopped. Desrium had assumed the "horse" had fallen victim to its pursuer. Unbeknownst to him that, to his side, hidden by the foliage was the creature responsible for the noise. His attention however, was caught by the black animal that was some distance away. He simply stood there a moment, his crimson eyes flashing and flickering as if they were burning, an intimidating sight to any creature who didnt know the cause. When he first laid eyes on the creature, he thought to himself "That...is not a horse" Right then, another influx of information had occured...

Eventually, the dragon stopped extending the tendrils of energy, and they retracted back into his body. The dragon paused, waiting to make sure Uriel was gone for good...

Revion flicked his ears, waiting, and listening...but all he heard was silence. He snorted and wearily continued his way through the forest, searching for Serenity. He whinnied only once, wanting desperately to hear Serenity answer back. He stopped again when he noticed a figure standing in the distance. His ears pricked forward in interest and he cocked his head to the side. His lion-like tail flicked back and forth and he shifted a bit nervously. Serenity better come to me, he thought and snorted once again.

Serenity was too busy hiding in the bushes. She heard Revion's whinny, but did not answer to it. She only stomped her hoof and flicked her own tail in anger. She wanted to kick out at something, or even run around for a bit more. The only problem was this place was dense, and thick. There were too many trees.

"Unicorn..." Desrium thought. "So this was the one who made the call? I wouldnt be suprised if that creature bumped into me looking for it" His eyes stopped flashing, settling back into their blank red state. It confused him, as to why it was only standing there, swishing its tail. Why did it stop running all of a sudden? "Of course, the noises the creature made" His attention shifted from the black unicorn to the bushes to his side. He heard a thump, as if something had been hit against the dirt floor. It didnt sound too different from the sounds he heard before, when he assumed the unicorn was fleeing something. Could there be another? Desrium peered into the leaves, catching sight of a white pelt inbetween them. There was another one...hiding...but from what exactly? The beast, or him...? Desrium sighed, the sound distorted by the helmet. It was far from the first time he brought fear to the places he went. Even in the wild, it was the same.

Revion snorted, watching the figure carefully. What was it? He carefully started to move forward again, almost cautiously. He was worried about Serenity and where she could be. His ears flicked back and forth. He had to be careful. He did not know if this was a friend or foe.

Serenity shivered and nickered nervously. She peered around and thought she caught sight of something shiny. What was it. She looked somewhat curious of the shiny thing, yet also wary. Maybe it was a bad idea to stay away from Revion. She whinnied, calling to the black unicorn. "Revion, come here."

At once, when Revion heard Serenity, he picked up his pace to a trot. Funnily enough, it was coming in the direction of the strange being. Why was she so near?
