Zombie RPG is a go then, but let me remind everyone: IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU VOTE WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN COME ON THE SITE!

The purpose of the vote is to make sure the new RPG isn't immediately forgotten. If you can't post, there's no worth in voting for it.

I don't know if we will hand the RPG making to the members, or just have one of us (Me, Doc, or KP) create the Zombie RPG. Will discuss it later, most likely.

Ok! Sounds good! Oh, this time, I've returned for not a little bit, but a while. I'm planning on sticking around for a while.

i think it goes without saying that i'm all for the new ZORPG. however, i won't be able to join in immediately due to exams eating into my schedule. as soon as i'm free, expect me to join in full time, there and elsewhere. if possible, i'd suggest having Doc set it up. he's good at doing startup scenes for this sort of thing. maybe you guys could work together on the finer points on it though. things that need refining, if any...

I guess that would be the first proposition I had that got past... but it was only a matter of time, if I didn't do it someone else would have. Because, in all serialness, everyone loves zombies.

Because zombies are awesome.

Me and my friend have an idea for a new RPG. The setting is in a post apocalypic world, armageddon is caused by chemical bombs in this one folks. The lands are hard and dusty there are still remains of what was before the bombs fell. The wastes are plagued in the day by raiders and smokers and in the night by mutants of all sorts. Me and my friends play in this setting for table top role playing and we have alot of content.

First of all: what do you mean by 'smokers'? secondly, give us a game name to go by, as, at the moment, we have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. thirdly, we need more explanation regarding 'content'. basically, give us a detailed description of what you have in mind

guys for the love of christ, its things like that is why this place was closed! Describe your RPG and make sure it will keep players so we wont abbandon it/neglect other RPGs

and, as stated in off topic, we want to recreate Transformers Ewar, but I think it might be a good RPG. Like TT said, it will take place after ROTF with the new autobots and the revived Megatron and his though almost depleted army of evil robotic orginisms

The aliens RPG would take place 300 years after Alien the Ressurection. It would involve a war between humans and xenomorphs.

That would be too focused on combat, and it completely lacks a story, thus making it a poor excuse for an RPG.

Put some THOUGHT INTO YOUR REQUESTS. You can't just vomit suggestions for the hell of it. You must really want to make the RPG and intend to make it very interactive and fun. A "Xenomorph RPG" is just stupid.

it fits very comfortably into the Space E-War in Random Fun. same with your suggestion for a Star Wars RPG.

A terminator RPG. It would take place during the war with skynet. You could be a soldier or a terminator. Or just a civilian trying to survive. It would take place as soon as the nukes hit the cities and termiators would be introduced in later as they get upgraded.

Did you actually read what I said? Don't just suggest RPGs for the hell of it. Movie specific RPGs usually suck. Its too limited, that includes Terminator.

Stop suggesting RPGs that you have put no thought into, or we lock this topic again.

SN, just hold it a second. are you even thinking these things through? or are you just throwing ideas in and hoping someone develops it for you?

First of all, that was just an introduction to see if you guys were interested.
It all started with the breaking war which was caused by 6, like minded, organizations that supposedly had no connection with each other. They in their own way caused chaos and anarchy through out the political system and through violence and this erupted into the Breaking War. The Breaking War deteriorated society and turned the world loose to complete anarchy and war, just as the six groups had planned. And then, suddenly, about 21 years of war, the 6 groups appeared as Organization 6, the last remnant of political structure.
Without warning, chemical bombs dropped from the skies. They scoured the Earth with radiation, and one common aspect of Wasteland life, smoke pits. Its thought that these are spots that were hit with direct bomb and chemical matter, and they continue to smoke today. Surrounding the world around you is what looks like a neverending faded green cloud. Simply called The Cloud, it will be the end of the Earth one day. See, the atmosphere around the Earth is the working blockade of the evergrowing smoke cloud, and if it cant go past the atmosphere, it will slowly flood the earth, suffocating everyone. But not in any of your characters lifetimes. The game takes place in the North America or whats left of it. The game starts 150 years after the bombing, so no generation is left who witnessed the bombing, so people are somewhat naive. Theres no connection with any other part of the world, because as you can imagine, the damage done to the waters and the creatures in it make the water intraversable. And technology has declined greatly, so communication is limited to local radio signals (communications unit). And yes, no flight. Technology has become very ragtag and dependent on whats left. The most advanced technology is the weaponry. Sloppy, thrown together vehicles still remain in use. The biggest user of the vehicles would be the Raiders and Smokers. The difference between the two isnt a big one, but youll notice the Smokers travling in bigger groups, bigger and more vehicles, live on the spur of the moment. Picture a 7 vehicle roving band of men, banging their guns on the metal sides of a stripped truck, dirty and loud. With the Smokers, the structure is less organized than Raiders. Smokers roam with a crew, and will open fire on just about anyone and anything else whos not already on board. The Raider society is much more planned, following under a leader usually, in a territory. Less likely to open fire on a similar group to themselves.
Dont get me wrong, Raiders are crazy, and to someone whos never seen a Smoker, a Raiders about the scariest thing your going to face, in the day.
Small dots of society do still remain, and of large variety, from small towns to military factions. But keep in mind how downscaled each is due to the setting. Youll find that the successful people who survive in this harsh world have developed a wide variety of skills such as maintenance of many things, survival skills, and a tough personality, because the wasteland is not a happy place.
Now the wasteland does retain somewhat of an infrastructure. So there is still roaming trading supplying people with what they need. But remember, these guys are tough, because traveling the Wastes isnt just another walk in your backyard, especially when night falls.
One drastic effect of the radiation is those who came in contact with the explosion. But, as you would imagine, not everyone is just a big green mutant. You see, the first wave of people hit probably died. And then, the closest ones who didnt die are the scariest ones walking around today. Whats happened is the chemical bombs are made to have a severe chemical reaction to everything, and the first wave has become thick and crusty with a natural build up of cell structure. These are the biggest ones. The reaction excited the body and the brain causing extreme growth and rage. And then you can assume the scale of the farther away, the smaller and less crusty, until you get to the perimeter of the explosion which had different effects, because of the settling of the chamicals. This caused a smaller, reclusive mutant, probably more vicious than brutal. To some of the vulnerable mutants, UV rays are actually deadly, having a burning effect on the skin. But most are just nocturnal and wont be damaged by the sun. Most of whats left of the building and human structures have been inhabited by mutants seeking darkness. And why night has become so deadly, is this is their preferred feeding time. Coming out to eat anything they see. Some have been exposed to fighting conditions, because like I said, some military factions still exist on a small scale, and those mutants have adapted and become more militant. But this is rare, and your not just going to find mutants with guns. How they communicate is unknown.
All currency has reverted to pure barter. There is no known item of currency. Everyone lives by, your only as valuable as what you got.
Its become very hot and dry. What youll see is a much more open world, a lot more rugged. The compressed ash that has become most of the ground is a dark gray, black color.
Players are not advised to play a mutant, because thats a mindless beast, not really a character. Ghouls, which are clear minded people simply with a mutation. As long as your not insane, its a playable character.
As a wastelander, there is a huge variety of options for you to pursue.
You could be a trader, completing what needs to be done, or you can hurt the Waste, and be a Smoker, a Raider, or simply a Badass, of any type.
This isnt every bit of content, but this should really give you a clear view of what were talking about.
Interested?

Maybe a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. rpg

The Concept of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is about the ZONE
its a place in Tsjernobyll still infected by the nuclear radiation
among the living are the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s (scavengers),Bandits (people who rob others to stay alive and earn money) Rebels (people who are against the military regime of the zone) the "military of the zone" (people who "serve and protect" the good stalkers their pretty corrupt exually),the mutated (zombies, infected animals,..)Traders (the main people to get jobs from and buy and sell weapons) and the Russian army who keep the people in the zone.among the regular S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s are more classes like Warriors,snipers,ecologist,sciencetist,etc...
