CS, agression isn't welcome here. i suggest you watch your tone from now on...unless of course you don't care about consequences...
now, Raptor, let me discuss each of your points directly.
1,2) ISS is a Dino RPG, but includes almost everything pre-Mesozoic. anything from the Dinosaur era and before is allowed. what came after was prevented, simply because it'd kill the theme. afterall, the Super Mammals of the post-Mesozoic era were in essence, just bigger versions of what we have today.
3)contrary to popular belief, there ARE Herbivore characters in ISS. admittedly, not many, because in most cases, the option to hunt actually gives players more to do when bored. if you can't think of anything more fun to do, you hunt. describe the hunt, what the target was, how it was lured out of it's group, how it was chased, where it went, what happened, how it was caught, and how it was killed. etc etc etc. with herbivores, you basically roam and munch on plants. so RPing with a herbivore is more difficult, as it depends more thoroughly on a good character background story to make it an interesting character to RP and interact with.
4) well, there isthe Animal RPG, or ARPG, which deals with all modern animals, bird, insect, mammal, reptile, whatever, with the exception of polar animals because their climate requirements are too specific for them to live comfortably elsewhere. there's also the Warriors RPG, aka WRPG, though that's been dead due to lack of ideas and interest for a while.
as for your guesses on Criticism, let me deal with them as well.
1) very good point and it perfectly sums up the pointlessness of ANOTHER animal-based RPG.
2,3)Paradoxes don't exist regardless, for one simple reason. each RPG exists in a different universe. a different timeline, disconnected from all others of it's type. take ISS for example, it doesn't follow the JP timeline. it's actually several decades off in both directions, and has a very different background story going on in the human world at the time the Dinos exist. hence why NYC is currently an empty wasteland crawling with the Dinos, whereas in the JP timeline, that would be very unlikely...
4) depending on RPG, such interactions may or may not be allowed, depending. in ISS, and ARPG, and animal RPGs in general, human interaction is kept to a minimal. plot-related only, IF that. that's done to both prevent the humans from ripping the characters to shreds and vice versa [as we've all seen happen in ISS whenever a human plot comes along]
I hope these help clarify things for you...
