Deka swiftly made his way down the pathway, just having followed the Shadowreaver's directions regarding the fork in the path, now on his way toward the entrance Lilith had mentioned. Before getting there, he executed a quick about-face, before disappearing off to the right, straying off the path that was supposedly the only entrance, and quickly finding a shady spot to revert to his natural form in. He found a part of the city wall that didn't have light shining on it, and quickly scaled it as a shadow, becoming physical again as he dropped off the edge and into the city, suspicious at the seeming lack of any guards or sentries present outside of the ones closing main entrance...

When Deka looked over the walls, everything was in pure chaos. Quite a few of the citizens and guards were too busy trying to catch the elf......

The Akantierus howled in rage and anger now. It's hide, capable of deflecting arrows and lances, was being pierced by the fangs of powerful serpents. The beast, growling in anger, bit down onto Khorne's spine, the sharp lower tusks of the creature piercing it's scales and muscle. The beast's tail swung back and forth like a deadly mace, before colliding with the female Basilisk's body. The claws on the tail sliced down through it's hide, causing much pain...

By now, Trajan and Dione were wrapping up their late breakfast, when both they and the servants heard the door open. Trajan stood up from his seat and began to head to the door when the Captain of the Guards stepped into the dining room. He smelled horribly of horse, and was completely covered in hay. The burly man's battered chest housed an already infected would, caused by the energy attack of the Shadowreavers. After staring at each other for several moments, Trajan finally broke the silence of the situation. "Captain.... W-w-What happened to you, and where are your men?" Trajan asked, his face one of a worried man. The Captain grunted as he dusted off some of the hay on him, before responding, "Me and my men went off into the forest as you commanded, in search of the cat-like dragon. However, we were ambushed by strange beings. I recieved some short of an energy blast to the chest, and it still hurts, though I don't think it's that serious..." With that said, the Captain stumbled forward as a wave of pain seized him. "Yep... not that serious..." The captain joked lightly, gripping the wound with his left hand...

Khorne roars in pain, blood dripping at a constant pace form his wound, but Khorne shrugs away the pain and wraps his serpentine lower half around the bottom of the akanterius, before grabbing onto the beast's face with his claws and beginning to rip his eyes open with them. The basilisk's eyes begin to glow blue, and a bizarre beam of energy locks into the akanterius' gaze........

Hraesvelgr bellowed in pain as she took the blow from the beast's tail, releasing her grip for a slight moment, but quickly latched back on. The basilisk moved her body away from the tail to keep from taking any further blows while putting more pressure on the akantierus' wound...

"Desrium" The armored being said, taking notice of the dragon's movement. From the way she looked to the sky before and they way she held her wings now, she looked like she was just about to leave the woods as well. "Am I keeping you from something?" He asked with a slight tilt of the head

The hunched Shade quickly sped forward, disappearing in the wake of a few buildings amid the turmoil going on ahead, assessing the situation and trying to decide whether it would be wise to interfere, one way or another...

They hate me just for what I am! Arsenic realized, seeing red as sudden rage filled his mind, blocking out all thoughts except the ones urging him to get out of this place. His anger fueled a mental attack strong enough to fell the majority of the crowd now chasing him. At the same time, he took a sharp turn, skidding a bit in his haste, not taking a direct route to the gates. This would cost him precious time, but give him a chance at hiding until night, when he could move silently as a cat and slip out unnoticed.

Immune to the mind blast, the Ra'zac continued their relentless pursuit, never stopping for an instant except to keep track of their quarry. He was relying more on speed than stealth by this point, so it was easy to follow the enraged crowds and guards without being slowed down themselves. The elf was fast, but the Ra'zac were faster...

just as Arsenic ran round the corner, an arm reached out, yanking him into an alleyway as a bang was heard up ahead of where he would've ended up going, a hand tightening around the man's mouth as something large and heavy covered him and his seeming assailant. "Keep your mouth shut and your body still or else we're both dead" hissed the man holding him in a whisper almost too quiet for even Arsenic to hear, the two concealed by the large grey piece of material, in a nook in a corner of the alley, out of sight of the main path, amidst several boxes. even if someone looked into the alley AND looked hard enough to see round the corner, all they'd see would be a series of boxes covered in what resembled large grey cloths. the loud noise up ahead was the result of an overhanging wooden window frame being shot down, the object plummeting to the ground and causing a large amount of debris, making pursuit after it difficult. as far as the crowd were conscerned, the elf had attempted to keep them from following him...

Arsenic froze, halfway through launching another mental attack when the figure's words registered. He stilled, heart beating in his throat, trying to keep his breathing quiet and even.

Several moments later, the shorter Ra'zac landed just outside the alley, near the source of the window frame's collapse. With a sibilant hiss, she began to sift through the debris, and her taller companion joined her. "Jussssst what do you think you're doing?" he growled. "The knife-ear disssappeared!" the female snapped back. "Sssssomewhere near here. I'm looking for a ssssign..." "Thissss doesssn't look like something that dirty little elf could've made while on the run." "Maybe he planned thissss earlier, jussst in cassse?" "Perhapsssss..." The two Ra'zac looked around warily, and began looking for tracks, to see which way Arsenic could've run to...

The Akantierus snarled in rage as it turned it's eyes away fromthe fierce serpent. If it didn't do something soon, it would be toast... The massive beast inhaled, then let out all the air in a grand blasting roar, one that echoed for miles across the Germanian landscape. If anything, it should have been able to cause both Basilisks to get go of their grasps on him, and allow him to escape...

Dione rushed to the Captain's side, helping him stay up on his feet, as she headed off to the infirmery. Trajan smiled slightly as Dione left the room, taking the wounded man with him. He was rather proud of Jeetis's daughter. She would definitely grow up to be a wonderful wife for whoever married her... "Emperor Trajan!" A voice shouted out to him, brining the emperor back to reality. He turned to the sound of the voice, to see three of the guards that had accompanied the Captain by the entrance. THey were tired, eyes glazed over, andbreating very, very hard, almost as if they had seen a ghost...

The man remained stone still, watching through the material silently, knowing that in spite of how minute the chance of being discovered was, there was still a possibility...

"There are no trackssss!" the female Ra'zac hissed. "Thisss makesss no ssssensssse!" The taller Ra'zac looked around. "Check every nook and cranny of this ssssstreet. We'll find him..." The two Ra'zac moved in separate directions, the shorter one moving out of sight, farther down the street. The taller one paused, looking down the alley. "Maybe in here..." he growled to himself. Cautiously, he crept into the alleyway, slowly drawing his sword...

the man's eyes narrowed. they were deep into the alley, and concealed amidst boxes and cloths in an inconspicuous corner within the alley, between two buildings on one side of the alley. though the odds of detection were slim, if any, he kept his guard up. if the attacker got too close...it'd die before it knew what hit it...

Arsenic's neck and shoulders were beginning to ache with tension. His now-blue-violet eyes were locked on the beetle-creature, his fingers twitching with longing for his bow. The great assassin caught without his weapon, he thought grimly. At least I have my poisons...though I've no idea if they'd work on these...things....And just who is this guy? He didn't yet dare to use his telepathy to tell the man the hand over his mouth was unnecessary; he would wait for a better time.

A deep sniffing sound came from the Ra'zac's hood, then a guttural snarl. "Human... bah! Everything ssssmellsss like human here..." Ignoring the stench, he continued deeper into the alley, then stopped, near a few crates. Suddenly, with a vicious swing of his blade, he cracked one of the small wooden boxes in two, scaring a few birds perched on a nearby rooftop into flying away. In fact, he was dangerously close to the elf he was hunting. The Ra'zac paused, waiting to see if the suddenness of the noise would spook Arsenic out of hiding somehow...

the man remained still as stone, though at this point he was prepared to kill the creature. one false move and it'd be dead before it would know where the attack came from...

The elf resisted the urge to flinch. His unblinking gaze stayed trained on the creature's movements. He was all but holding his breath, his breathing silent and shallow.
