DM: Big improvement.
Gira: Your turn.
MP charged at Valroz with surprisnig speed, the creature delivereda vicious strike with one of it's claws at Valroz, slicing the demon across the chest, though it didn't penetrate all that deeply...*
If I swear to god, if I see another post like this by anyone in this topic I'm going to explode. All Valroz needed to do to dodge was hop back a step, and that claw would have missed.
Phazon began to drip from the wound and spilled onto Valroz, the dangerous fluid began to seep into the demon's blood system, actnig as a deadly poison
Semantics: In order to get into his blood system it would need to be injected. poison won't flow into an open wound, the pressure of the blood would keep it out. You'd need to force it in, or dunk a seriously gaping wound into it.
MP, thinknig that Valroz was chargeing him, backed up instinctivly, Valroz's swipe having missed as a result, the mutated Metroid brings down it's front claws onto Valrog, causnig numerous cuts on the demon's body, MP then fires off a third volley of missles at point-blank rage...*
This is a huge no no. You have to understand the time scale of the posts.
MP fired his beam, and as he did so, Valroz dodged it by diving under it and stabbing MP's leg
Then you said that MP saw the move coming, and jumped back as he thought Valroz was going to charge.
The problem is that your post before and after DM's squash in on each other. As Dm's post *happened* near the end of your first post, in order to react to it, you had to back on your old post. Essentially Mp did two different things at the same time. This is the first time I've seen this happening but it leads to a bigger problem, people dodging first, thinking second. If your going to evade an attack, make sure that it sounds right. Picture the scene in your head, make sure you know the facts. Winning a fight will all be for nothing if it was a bad one. There will be no respect attached to it. Think about the fight first, then think about wanting to win it.
now that thats done with, Gira, Ik pretty much covered it well. You didn't think of your defense enough. It was too late to block Valroz's spear by the time he stabbed, but you might have been able to ward it off by preparing for such an attack before hand. Also, your over use of missiles was a mistake. It was an annoying attack and you spammed it. While that seems like a good way to antagonise your opponent, an annoyed opponent is much more likely to stab you where you do not want to be stabbed, and will counter with the intent of annoying you equally.
DM: Very good over all, but could be improved with more percision attacks. attacking in general is good for wearing an opponent down and discerning their weaknesses, but in order to do real damage you have to target your shots. Firing an arrow into MP does some damage, but it is mostly 'in name only.' He is damaged but he can still fight just as well as he could, with the arrow having little lasting effect. However, an arrow aimed into his leg, or even more specifically, the already damaged joint, would have a chance at crippling the whole limb. It's very blockable, Gira could have MP move the leg so it strikes a different part, but an arrow is a very fast attack and so a full dodge is out of the question, meaning a counter attack is unlikely. He can't block the arrow and then lash out quickly, by the time it's blocked, Valroz would be ready to defend. as the attack is so fast, his only way of landing a counter shot would be to ignore the pain of the attack and charge (Which mighten even land, depending on their range) but if the attack is targeted towards the joint like that, he can't afford to do that, getting in an extra attack isn't worth having his leg crippled so you can pin him down that way.
In an intense frantic battle, it will be precision attacks that win the day.
Also, there were a few dirty tricks you could have used but didn't. That spear stab into MP's face at the end was a good move, but it was blockable. Mp might have been able to block it with his claws, however, if you had valroz chuck a blast of flame into his face before the attack to distract, he wouldn't know it was coming and would be helpless to stop it.
