The green raptor's eyes lingered on the peice of paper, staring at the faded picture. It perplexed him to no end. A raptor? How did its likeness end up on a leaf? Did it have anything to do with the long dead creature? Was it still alive? Aircrest made a rumble in his throat as he stood up and stepped around the skeleton, heading down the catwalk. With his recent discovery, the mystery deepened. He was starting to think that trying to find the meaning of these buildings scattered around the island was a lost cause. With every new find, there were more questions. He came to a stairway leading down to a lower level, and the raptor simply cocked his head at the incline. Tentatively, he placed a foot on the first step then pulled it back, snorting. He hopped down to the lower catwalk with a dull clunk, the noise seeming louder than it was because of the echo. He then continued to walk along it, looking around at the aging building. In the distance, he could see strange, bulky constructs with dusty screens and colorful vines sticking out of them. Just what in the world were they?

Darkness had long since passed whatever was lurking in the dark waters, instead finding himself in a very crampt and very steep ascent. Making sure to watch his footing, the dark raptor carefully made his way up, trying to remember the path he took to get there, not exactly wanting to get lost on his search. His path finally leveling out, Darkness noted a few peculiar scents reaching his senses, and assumed that he was nearing another entrance, though the area ahead of him was still as black as the darkest night...

The attack came without warning.

The water infront of the styracosaurs seemed to explode everywhere, obscuring whatever it was that was infront of them. the male on the left didn't even have nough time to cry out in alarm before a powerful pair of jaws slammed shut onto the right leg. the herbivore brayed out in alarm as it was yanked onto its side by some powerful force, the impact strong enough to break a few ribs. the herbivore began to be dragged into the water, where its cries for help were silenced by the water. The other Styracosaurus looked around, but all it could see was its parther's nasal horn dissapearing beneath the waves. Blood was spilling out into the swamp water, and th eother styraco turned tail and ran. Behind it, the water frothed as a massive crocodilian mouth rised up out of the water, with a long strip of flesh in its mouth. Th ebeast opened up its mouth, allowing th eflesh to slid down into its throat, before closing it and returning to its latest meal...

The Edmonosaur herd continued to graze peacefully on the ferns, as the bull male kept watch. the bull looked around wearily, before it picked up the scent of allosaur. It began to make out the same, throaty alarm call that he had done for the female Tyrannosaur, only this time, the call was more high-pitched, more urgent. The herd began to look around nervously, again forming a circle around the young ones. This time, however, the circle would be maintained...

Howler watched from the undergrowth, staring at a small cluster of Compies in the brush nearby. They were preoccupied, hopping and chirping, trying to snap flying insects out of the air with their slim jaws. Howler took a cautious step forward, slowly drawing into attack range. One more step...

The raptor's foot stepped on a twig, which snapped loudly, alerting the Compies. The little green dinosaurs perked up, staring in the direction of the sound, bodies tense. Knowing it was now or never, Howler leaped from his cover, towards the Compies, who scattered in every direction. Unfortunately for Howler, his had misjudged his jump and forgotten to take the ground around him into account. As he leaped up, his large toe claw bounced off a tree root, throwing himself off in mid-air. With an alarmed screech, he tumbled to the ground amidst the Compies, landing hard on his right flank. Dazed, he watched, morose, as the tiny scavengers fled into the jungle. After a moment, however, he felt something strange underneath his flank. Getting up, he saw that he had, in fact, killed one of the Compies: the raptor had landed on the unfortunate animal, his entire weight snapping its neck, as well as breaking several other bones in its body. With a triumphant snort, Howler picked up the Compy in his jaws and trotted back to Death Valley. Wait until Stoneclaw heard about this...

Bladetooth finally finished his meal, licking his blood-stained jaws and stomping off towards the river to get a drink and wash his meal down...

Seeing their plan has already failed, Goldfang turns to her mate and gives him a quick nod. Pale Kaiser grunts in reply before he runs out into the open, his pale skinned form bursting form the jungly area, red eyes blazing with primal hunger. The albino Allosaur roars loudly at the edmontosaurs, trying to spook them so his mate, who was waiting in the trees, could pick one off.....

The Edmontosaurs brayed back in alarm, before the large bull male charged at the male Allosaurus. At 50 feet long, and 5 1/2 tonnes, this was not a herbivore to take lightly. The bull stopped a dozon feet from the Allosaur, befor erising up onto his hind legs. He towered over Pale Kaiser, the normally dumb-eyes of the herbivore locked fiercly on the allosaur. Most Hadrosaurs would flee from danger like an Allosaurus, but Edmontosaurs, especially large, bull males, weren't exactly pacifist in the face of danger, especially if the would-be hunter was smaller than them. The bull honked at the Allosaur, warning it to back off, before he'd flatten the Male Allo beneath his weight...

Pale Kaise sees the monstrous Edmontosaur bull rush him, but he knows he is still quicker than the behemoth. The Albino Allosaur roars back, pacing aroudn the Edmontosaur, trying to get a good strike at him....

Meanwhile, Goldfang, watches the bull closely, emerging quietly form the trees and slowly maknig her way towards him and her mate, tyring to avoid detection until it is too late for the bull...

The bull Edmonto kept on his hind legs, all the while honking threats at the Allo. The tail of the herbivore swished behind the animal , each swing powerful enough to knock the Allo off his feet should the Edmonto get the chance to...

The other Edmontosaurs kept honking at the Male Allo, their entire attention drawn to him. None of them noticed the female Allosaurus...

Back in the swamp, the body of the Styracosaurus was in the shallows, and now away from the deep channels that cut through the swamp. A large figure slide through the water toward the dead Styraco, its armored hide glistening in th emorning sun. It was a massive Deinosuchus, one of the, if not THE largest of its kind on the island. the scales that ran along his back were of charchol-grey color, and the eyes of the crocodile were a pale brown. From the tip of the nose to the abruptly-ending tail, the entire monster was 57 feet long, some 10+ feet of it just head and jaws. The bull Deinosuchus swam slowly to the kill, then bit its large, white teeth into the flesh. This was the first kill he had made in weeks, due to how few creatures came to the swamps. It ticked him off greatly. "Those damn Spinosaurs... it must be their fault I'm not getting alot of food..." Sawtooth hissed as he began to roll around repeatedly, tearing off the fleshfrom the ded Styracosaur. The scent of blood filled the air and began to disperse. No doubt it would attract other carnivores...

Pale Kaiser leaps around the beast, baring his teeth and making false swipes with his claws, hoping to distract the bull long enough for goldfang to come close enough to strike.....

Goldfang makes a charge for the bull's blindside, before sinking her claws and fangs into the bull's side, using her feet to give her leverage on the side of the monstrous hadrosaur to try and gut it......

Another skeleton was sprawled over one of the machines. at least, it should have been. years of gradual decomposition had caused the spine to snap at some form of pressure, leaving half the corpse lain on the floor, the other part, made up of the torso and arms, on a desk, the eerily wide jaws of the corpse forever frozen in a silent scream of agony that emphasised it's final moments. one of the large machines rattled slightly, something inside moving around frantically...

Aircrest whirled himself about to face the source of the noise, the claws on his hands spread and ready to lash out from reflex. He let out a low rumble in his throat as he heard the commotion within one of the machines, moving over to the silver railing on the catwalk, hopping onto it before stepping off and dropping to the facillity's floor, landing in a crouch. He cautiously approached the strange contraption, his snout raised to scent the air. He picked up on the smell of compies, which was normal enough. The small creatures usually made places like these their nesting site, though the compies here made themselves scarce apparently. There was also the recent scent of another raptor. Perhaps another took interest in the ruins and decided to have a look as well.

just as Aircrest neared the machine, a loud rattling bang was heard inside, a Compy scurrying out of it, bloodied, just as a dark brown creature leapt out after it, landing on it's back, the two tumbling away and careening into another of the large machines, the Compy struggling for a few minutes as the creature snapped it's neck, the green creature's life ceasing in an instant, the Eodromaeus wasting no time in stripping the Compy's flank of flesh, ignorant of the raptor in the excitement of the moment...

Aircrest stopped in his tracks as he saw the sudden blur of movement from the machine as the two dinosaurs tumbled into view. Afterwards, he simply watched, chuckling. "Its been a while since I saw one of those" He thought, looked at the Eodromeaus. "Its lucky I already ate, or all the effort for that compy would've been for nothing"

The raptor looked away from the hungry predator, moving over to the machine it had appeared from, examining its interior with interest

The bull Edmontosaurus honked out in alarm as it swerved around the face this new attacker. The Herbovire swungs its head into the female Allo, the force of the hit sendig the female Allo onto its side. The Edmontosaur began to back up, blood dripping down its side. With two Allosaurs now... it was time to fall back. The bull let out a loud shrill honk, before fleeing for his life. The rest of the herd also took off... but in the wrong direction. They all fld back into the forest, while the Bull was running off into the plains, away from the herd...

Lightning, Sabre and the younglings tear into a few other parts of the hadrosaur, before backing off from the kill to allow some of the others to get parts of the creatures, leaving the last 7 to wait hungerily...

Pale Kaiser keeps in step with the hadrosaur, with Goldfang being not too far behind on the bloodied side. The albino male bites onto one of the Edmontosaur bull's arms, before his mate bites into the mass of blood, rippnig a chunk of meat and flesh out.....

mangled rust-covered wires, some encrusted in green oxidisation where the wires were made of copper, filled the machine. they looked as if they had been torn apart and weaved into some kind of unnatural nest. the remnants of eggs could be seen, shattered during the fight, most likely. various kinds of lichens and other growth had begun to appear on the inside where it could. above, the shadows concealed an unseen observer, amber orbs eyeing the Raptor from a height and angle that made detection impossible, the creature moving away into the facility, silent as death itself...

Crusher sighed as he walked along the stream, deciding that now was the best time to explore, needing to get his mind off the dream, the Rex no longer too full to move...

a gurgling growl came from the new Spinosaur pack leader, Thrasher glancing across at his family, which were spread out near one of the larger rivers on the island, some fishing for one of the large species of fish located in the island's rivers, others resting, yet others hissing amongst themselves. nearly all of them turned to eye Thrasher when he announced himself, however, knowing that now, he was the head of the family, and that disobedience would likely be punished gravely under the new leadership. slowly gathering, they approached the jagged-scaled collosus...

"Resourceful little critters, compies" Thought the raptor as he took note of the makeshift nest. "Crafty as they are plentiful..." His eyes narrowed as his mind ruminated over the implications that might have. He didnt linger on the notion for too long however, dismissing it with a snort. Aircrest turned away from the machine and headed deeper into the building, spotting more skeletal fragments of the strange creatures as he went along...

There was a soft breeze in the plains, the tropical vegetation bordering this small opening waved, casting dancing shadows on a sizable predator, a rugops. It embraced the shade, blending near seamlessly with its green surroundings. It took a moment to revel in the fact its prey, a small gathering of dryosaurus had yet to notice it. They were grazing in the open plains, soaking in the sun, stupid animals not knowing the danger they were in. The rugops took a moment to brace itself for its next move. It intently glared at its intended target before bursting through the bushes, running full speed at the docile herbivores, who didn't know what hit them until the carnivore was directly upon them. It seized a healthy male in its jaws, shaking with brute force momentarily lifting it off its feet, before dropping its lifeless body. The carnivore observed its kill, checking to ensure it was dead. It bit on its neck and began to drag it to a more suitable position, closer to the edge of the jungle. A second rugops observed this from the other side of the plain, Diablo, licked his chops gazing sorely at the other rugops' kill, wishing he could hunt half as well. He stood there staring until the other rugops took notice, it let out an annoyed snarl, motioning for Diablo to go away. Diablo, turned taking one last glance at the predator and his prey before disappearing into the brush. He would return later for whatever was left, if there was any left.

The male Edmontosaurus roared out in pain as he tripped over a log, the incident sending the herbivore head over heels, before finally coming to rest on its side. the Hadrosaur thrashed his tail about, trying to keep the Allosaurs away from him as he could...

Sawtooth swallowed another hunk of meat before looking off into the swampy distance. He could sense a change in the air, and the roars he had heard from the Spinosaurs not too long ago only reinforced it. Something had happened. Perhaps a fight over food, or perhaps a power struggle. Just thinknig about it made Sawtooth's blood boil. He would pay the Spinosaurs a little visit. He was tired of them being the ruling class of this island. The massive crocodile swallowed one last hunk of meat before swimming off in the direction of the Spinosaur's territory. If indeed someting had happened, and there was a new Spinosaur in charge, he would personally test him... to see if he was fit to rule over him...
