"Some of them taste pretty horrible," Mistpool admitted calmly. "But they go down easily enough with a dose of honey or heather nectar." she sniffed at the marigold, then reached in back and pulled out what little catmint she had left. "Catmint is one of the few that doesn't taste so bad."

"Whoa. Ive heard stories about that. They say that makes cats go...loopy. Something that twolegs did to get a hold of their minds" Tiberium growled, both eyes wide and locked on the plant. "You give it out as treatment?" He mewed in disbelief

"Yes," Mistpool mewed. "If used properly, it's the best medicine for greencough. When a cat doesn't have the disease though, and eats some catmint because the plant smells good, it can cause...erratic behavior." her mouth twitched into a grimly amused smile.

"...Right." Tiberium growled, calming down somewhat. The shecat reminded him of his brother somewhat. Aside from the two of them both being gray, they both found humor in things that would make most cats feel uncomfortable. He was almost waiting for her to start speaking in riddles and metaphors. Despite being a bit odd, he thought the shecat could full well be one of his first friends in the clan. "What kind of behavior are we talking about here?" He asked, preparing himself for the answer...

"oh, it depends on the cat really," Mistpool mewed, pushing the catmint aside. "some hallucinate, some believe everyone is after them and run off to find a place to hide until the effects wear off. ..the most extreme case I've heard of was a cat believed he was a bird for a good half-day, and lived in a tree for that time." she gave a chuckle. "unfortunate for the cats in question, but hopefully they learn not to eat catmint again.

"At least they didn't try to fly...I...hope?" Tiberium replied, his voice trailing off at the end and his expression practically asking the medicine cat to spare him the tragic end, if there was one

"His Clanmates talked him down," Mistpool meowed, "and by that point the herb was wearing off. Left him with a nasty bellyache, poor tom, but at least he never did it again."

"I hope there is never a day when a cat believes they're a fish. It will be...more than awkward pulling a cat out from the river trying to get something to eat" Tiberium mewed, his ears pressing against his head at the thought

"indeed. You fish?" Mistpool asked curiously, reaching as far back as she could for any herbs she may have missed. So little.... she thought, beginning to put the piles of herbs back where they belonged. But supplies always run low in leafbare. At least it's newleaf - soon there will be plenty of herbs. her main concern was the catmint. She'd nearly used all of it the last time there was an outbreak of sickness.

"Yeah. My brother thinks its strange I prefer fish over moles and mice, but he never complains when I have to catch his morning meal" The white tom mewed, craning his neck to peer over Mistpool's shoulder. "Is that really enough for the entire clan?" He asked when he saw how little supplies the shecat had.

"not in the least," Mistpool mewed, shaking her head with a sigh. "I always run low in leafbare. I just have to hope what I have is enough to last until the herbs in the forest grow back."

"Hmm. Maybe some plants have already started to sprout again. I could go out and try to find some of them for you, if you'd like. Though I'd rather have you around so I don't gather the wrong ones" Tiberium offered with a smile.

Mistpool smiled back. "Thanks for offering," she meowed. "there won't be much ready for picking now, but I was going to go and check on the known places where the plants grow. You're welcome to join me; I'd enjoy the company."

"When are you planning on going out?" Tiberium replied, happy that he too found something to do that could help the clan. While his brother may be out fighting the battle with rogue forces, he'd be assisting in making sure the wounded are properly tended to.

"as soon as I'm finished here," mistpool meowed, putting another pile of leaves back where it belonged. "It won't take long."

"Alright then. I'll meet you outside" Tiberium mewed, turning around and heading for the den entrance, leaving the rock hollow. Once in the open ravine, he sat a few feet away from the crack in the stone, waiting for the medicine cat. The white loner decided to take the opportunity to groom himself, licking a paw before running it over his head and ears.

Once the group of Clan Cats had moved onwards sufficiently, the black Tom left the tree, landing lightly on the ground, mentally charting his path into the territory after them, plotting his route in a way that would throw off anyone suspecting him of pursuing them by planning a zig-zagging path, capitalising on what little cover there was in Windclan territory...Afterall, as a Loner, his life frequently depended on knowing what was going on, where. who to avoid, who to speak to, what to mention, and what to remain silent about...additionally, it also helped him advance his own goals...One could never have too much information...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"

Swifstrike moved without a word, leading both the ThunderClan and Windclan cats deeper into Windclan territory, leaving the gorge behind them. He could smell the scent of a rogue, and had seen the movement on the ridge...but he wasn't worried.

Shadowstar dropped back to let Swiftstrike lead, walking side by side with one of her warriors. She didn't want her presence in the attack party to be known to their enemies just yet.

Mistpool was soon done with her task, and padded out of her den to meet Tiberium. "This should be a good day for finding herbs," she mewed. "As I said, they won't be ready for picking yet, but they'll certainly be growing by now."

"It'll be useful knowing where they are by time they are ready. Won't need to go searching" Tiberium growled as he started to head towards the rock wall of the ravine
