After a few moments, a small group of cats came into view, with one at the center bearing fresh blood across its chest and flank. Swiftstrike smiled as he approached, one cat stepping forward. "They had a lookout, just as you said." the cat growled as he neared, smirking, gesturing with a nod to the injured cat, who clearly wasn't happy about its current situation. Swiftstrike silently breathed a sigh of relief...his precautions had paid off, and now the rogues would not know they were coming.

Ferallion couldn't help but smirk as well once he got a look of the wounded cat. After hearing a little of what had been said, he assumed the cat was an enemy, subsequently captured by the group. There was a more than good chance there were more prowling about the hill side, but the cats of Windclan knew the area better than any other, and that was their advantage...

"True," Mistpool mewed, easily making the climb. She stood looking out overthe forest for a moment, then turned herpaws towards Snakerocks. "This way; I want to check Snakerocks first, before the adders liven up."

Shadowstar couldn't help a low growl of satisfaction. One less enemy lookout meant less to worry about.

"Then to the Snakerocks we go" Tiberium mewed after he pulled himself from the incline. Lacking Mistpool's experience, the climb took slightly longer for him. He turned to where the medicine cat directed and added "Lead on"

Mistpool nodded, padding lightly along the well-worn path. Many generations of ThunderClan cats had used this route to get to Snakerocks and the border beyond. The ShadowClan cats shouldn't give them trouble if they ran into any, but nonetheless she took a good look around when they arrived. ShadowClan's scent was being blown toward them, but it didn't seem any cats had strayed onto their territory.

Tiberium's attention was less focused on the wafting scent of Shadowclan cats. Instead, he was more preoccupied with the familiar stench of the thunderpath that separated the two clans. Occasionally one would roar down the dark way, a cloud of dust hanging in its wake if the thing was close to the edge, where the natural ground started. He remained quiet, sitting down and staring off across the black straight, acknowledging those who met their doom upon it. He had the misfortune of seeing it happen more times than he'd have liked.

"You need to warn Talonstrike. Quickly." Swiftstrike growled, the cat in front of him nodding before racing off toward the camp, a small mouse in his jaws. Swiftstrike was not without a plan: They would rely on those in the camp to distract the rogues while they got close. He could only hope that there were enough cats still motivated in the clan to participate...

Mistpool began nosing around the cracks and crevices where the herbs she sought grew, being careful not to get too close. A bite from an adder was the last thing she needed right now. She noted with satisfaction that the chervil that grew here was already poking through the cracks and around the base of the boulders. "Good," she mewed. "There'll be plenty of chervil when we need it."

The white tom's ears pricked at the shecat's voice. "Hmm? Oh, right" He growled as he directed his attention back to the task at paw. "So what exactly is this...chervil... used for?" Tiberium inquired as he walked over to one of the boulders, lowering his head to the base to get a whiff of the herb.

"The juice of the leaves can be used on infected wounds," Mistpool meowed, turning back to the white tom. "And if you dig up the roots, those are a good remedy for bellyache." She eyed the young shoots, adding, "This is where it grows best on our territory."

"Right next to Adder burrows... all things worth getting don't come easy I suppose" Tiberium mewed in response before lifting his head from the sprouting plants.

Swiftstrike took a small group of Windclan cats closer toward the camp, using the cover of the high grass Firestreak had used to conceal their approach. Bringing in the entire group would cause too much noise and would be too difficult to conceal, but they needed to be aware of what was going on in the camp. Once Talonstrike began his attack from the inside, they would take the opportunity to get into the camp...

Shadowstar crouched beside Swiftstrike, the silver-and-black fur on her shoulders bristling. Her claws were unsheathed, her warrior blood pounding through her veins. She would need every ounce of strength and courage that StarClan had given her. She may have had more than one life to lose, but the cats around her did not, and she hoped this battle would go quickly.

"Indeed," Mistpool mewed. She took a moment to look around for any other useful plants that might be growing around here. "Come; let's do a quick sweep of the borders. Celandine grows on the RiverClan border, and over by Fourtrees there are usually some other herbs."

A smile appeared on the white tom's maw at the mention of Riverclan's border. He was starting to feel hungry in the time since his morning meal. With some luck, he might just catch another fish to eat and maybe one for Mistpool. He followed the medicine cat without a word, only his upturned lips.

It wasn't long before the sounds of fighting reached Swiftstrike's ears. The rogues looking out from the camp disappeared shortly after, obviously preoccupied by whatever was going on inside. "Now's our chance!" he growled hastily, bounding swiftly toward the camp, the other Windclan cats following. Although they wouldn't all arrive at once, they didn't have time to spare waiting; no one knew just how many cats would stand by Talonstrike, and the deputy's kin could be in dire need of assistance...

Shadowstar bounded forward, the ThunderClan warriors falling in behind her. It was time these rogues felt their claws. She'd make sure this would be a battle they'd remember for a long time.

As they neared Fourtrees, Mistpool mewed, "You should see this place at fullmoon. There are cats from every Clan here, together in peace for just one night."

"I've heard about them... the gatherings, that is" Tiberium replied, looking forward to see the fabled location with his own eyes. He came across stories of the giant oak trees and the large rock they surrounded from cats that lived around the area, and from them he and his brother were told of the clans. Gossip, rumors and rants from rogues and loners alike reached them when they lived in the far reaches of the forest. "Why do they meet there? And why only on the full moon?" He mewed inquisitively

"We come together at the full moon because it's a tradition that's been in place for generations. It's supposed to be peaceful, so the Clans can exchange news and the like," Mistpool meowed. The four great oaks were coming into view now. "The leaders stand up on the Great Rock and give formal announcements, and the cats they bring with them mingle for a while."

Swiftstrike was the first to enter the camp, watching in horror as the rogues, numbering over a dozen, crowded around Talonstrike and 3 other cats that stood with him, all of which seemed exhausted and a few were already bleeding. Swiftstrike, enraged, let out a thunderous yowl, catching the rogues by surprise, while also wordlessly telling his allies that the fight was about to begin....
