Shadowstar responded with a caterwaul, she and her warriors spilling into the WindClan camp. The leader bounded forward and bowled over one of the rogues, her teeth snapping shut on one of his foreleg while her hind claws raked at his stomach.

"StarClan would send clouds to cover the moon and end the Gathering," Mistpool meowed, stopping to give Fourtrees a thoughtful look.

Tiberium's whiskers twitched at the mention of Starclan, having heard the tales about them as well. The implications they brought forth were not pleasant to him. He started feeling the twinge of sadness he tried to hide before and it was made worse by an awkwardness the white tom began to feel soon afterwards. He didn't want to start acting strangely around a cat he hardly knew.

Ferallion charged into the fray as well, searching the battle field for his target or an ally in need of assistance...

The rogues' stunned state was repeated with the arrival of Thunderclan, reacting to the attack less than gracefully. At the back of the group, near Talonstrike, Arion was fuming, though he was just as confused as the rest. "What's going on over there?! Someone, answer me!" the rogue leader growled, unable to tell what was going on through the crowd of cats, the foremost of which were trying in vain to fight the Windclan and Thunderclan warriors. Talonstrike's eyes were locked on Arion, though he hesitated. Even though help had arrived, he didn't like the idea of launching himself into the midst of the rogues, putting his life and the lives that stood with him now at risk...

"Is something wrong?" Mistpool asked, giving the white tom a slightly concerned look.

The rogue Shadowstar was attacking let out a yowl and raked the claws of his free paw down one side of her face; she closed her eye in an attempt to prevent damage to it. She felt blood begin to flow and released her opponent, giving him a savage kick to push him away from her. She crouched, a growl rumbling in her throat, tail whipping from side to side as her open green eye blazed with challenge. come at me, her expression seemed to say. He seemed hesitant though; she'd just have to give him some incentive. "Run back to your mother, kit," she hissed. "A battlefield is no place for a cat who can't fight." Rage flared in his eyes - he started advancing despite his wounds.

The other ThunderClan cats were taking full advantage of the rogue cats' surprise, showing no mercy as they clawed at their enemies.

"Hmm? Nothing, nothing at all" Tiberium growled with a smile, the tips of his ears seeming to reach for the sky as he did. He was glad Ferallion wasn't here. There was no point in lying about what he felt whenever his brother was around. "So this is where generations of cats meet every full moon..." he added, trying to change the subject as casually as he could

Ferallion rammed a brown and white rogue that had pinned down one of his could-be clanmates in the side, the surprise blow both knocking the air out of its lungs and leaving Ferallion in a short daze. He was quickly brought back to terms when he too found himself knocked to the ground, a fellow gray and black tom attempting to claw at his hide. The loner rolled onto his back and kicked up into the cat's throat, forcing his gaze skywards and rendering his attack aimless. As the rogue recovered from the kick, Ferallion got back onto all fours, silently staring down the gray and brown cats with his head low and his mane bristling...

It wasn't long until the cluster of rogues were gradually peeled away, preoccupied by one or more clan warriors. Swiftstrike, free of any opposition for the moment, made his way toward Arion and his son. The rogue leader was still in shock, watching the hopeless battle with an open mouthed expression. Everything happened so fast...defiance from the deputy's kin, turning into a combined attack from two clans? He was watching his plan to usurp his father dissolve before his eyes, and it was then that he saw Swiftstrike approaching. Normally he would be enraged at who he assumed orchestrated this disaster, but all he managed to do was give the deputy the same wide-eyed look of disbelief. "No blood has been spilled yet, Tailwind. Your sins against the clan and your father may be grave, but there is no blood on your paws. But if this continues any longer, that will not be the case for long." the deputy growled, tail lashing in the direction of the battle. In truth, he didn't know if Tailwind had slain any of those that were taken from the camp along with the Windclan leader, though knowing the young cat as he did, he couldn't help but hope the rogue was incapable of such a thing. Arion continued to give him the same vacant look, as if not believing the deputy was truly there...

"yes," Mistpool meowed. She took in the four big trees, and the boulder that sat in the center of the clearing. "There was a Gathering recently, and, in fact, almost broke into a fight."

Shadowstar slammed her opponent to the ground, stunning him, and spun to face the cat who leaped at her from behind. She fell onto her back, so that instead of landing on her shoulders, the rogue was faced with all four paws, claws extended to rip at him.

"So much for peace" Tiberium remarked before sitting, staring absently at the clearing, trying to keep the corners of his mouth curved up into a smile...

Ferallion eyed the two rogues, and in a split second the four cats lunged at each other, colliding and forming a chaotic cloud of fur and claws for just a fraction of a minute before kicking each other away, small scratches and cuts adorning each cat's flank. After the short skirmish the rogues, clan cat and loner began to circle each other. The cats, except for Ferallion let out snarls and growls to intimidate each other. Ferallion simply stared his enemy in the eyes...

"Tailwind!" Swiftstrike growled, a paw striking the ground in an attempt to snap the rogue leader back to his senses, though it didn't seem to have much of an effect. "If you care at all about these flea-bitten creatures you've associated yourself with, you will tell them it is over." the Windclan deputy insisted. He knew by Tailwind's expression that the rogue knew it was over, the question was: would he call off the others before it was too late? "That's enough." Arion meowed after a few tense seconds, only the nearest of his allies turning to look at him questioning, at least those free from fighting to do so. "You win!" he growled, much louder than before, but still with a tone that seemed drained of all life. The rogues began trying to break away from the clan cats, confused as to what their leader was doing...

Shadowstar looked up, panting, from where she'd pinned the first attacker again; the second had given up and retreated, bleeding from several wounds, after the initial attack. Triumph burned through her at the surrender; she looked down and growled, "Don't come back. You've seen what happens when you mess with one of our Clans." She gave him a ferocious nip, so hard that blood actually spurted from the wound, adnd he tore away from her with a cry of pain.

"Indeed," Mistpool sighed, adding after a moment, "Shall we go on?"

Ferallion raised himself slightly, watching as the rogues he fought inched their way backwards before turning tail all together to regroup with the others...

"To the river?" Tiberium growled. He got up onto his paws and looked to the general direction of the flowing water, just as interested in checking on the herbs as he was about fresh kill.

The rogues began to crowd around Arion, glancing around nervously as they realized, now out of the confusion of battle, just how bad the situation was for them. "Where is your father? Where did you take him and the others?" Swifstrike growled, his voice slightly threatening, though Arion, in his delirious state, didn't seem to notice. "A cave in the space between clans. Though I wouldn't get my hopes up, if I was you." Arion responded, looking up at Swiftstrike, a malicious smirk on his face. "I can't guarantee their well being, after all. They've been gone for quite some time..." he growled ominously, and it took everything in the Windclan deputy not to strike down the rogue right then and there. "You take us to them, and you and your friends get out alive." Swiftstrike growled after a few tense seconds. Though it sounded like a proposition, it seemed more like a demand. Arion, losing the smirk, nodded after a moment's thought, heading toward the entrance to the camp, with Swiftstrike right behind him. As the deputy passed Shadowstar, he stopped for a moment. "I'm trusting you to keep them here until we return, just in case Tailwind's story doesn't check out." he meowed, his expression deadly serious...

"You have my word," Shadowstar replied, dipping her head. With a flick of her tail her warriors surrounded the rogues. She turned watchful green eyes on Tailwind, narrowing them slightly. "Be careful."

"Yes," Mistpool mewed, starting off at a light trot, enjoying the warmth of the sun on her fur.

The dark-pelted cats assembled a barrier of teeth and claws around the opposing cats quickly and methodically, their combat knowledge evident to the gray loner. He disappeared among their ranks yet again, a phantom that wasn't missed

Tiberium's pace was somewhat faster than the medicine cat's, the white tom eager to get to the river bank...

Swiftstrike nodded and continued after Tailwind, not about to let the rogue get out of his sight now. The two disappeared out of the camp, and the remaining Windclan cats, if they were not aiding the Thunderclan warriors in watching the rogues, were finding their hiding loved ones to see if they were alright...

Shadowstar paced the camp, keeping an eye on the rogues. If they tried anything funny, she'd be the first to put them back into their place...

Mistpool soon heard the roar of the somewhat swollen river, and began to take more care to look around her for herbs she could use. Today was a good day for this sort of thing; sunny but not too bright, and she could smell the plants around her growing. She gave a content sigh, stopping for a moment to stretch in a small patch of sunlight.

Tiberium noticed the rise in the river and the somewhat stronger current. He cautioned himself of the danger and adapted, making sure that his footing was secure and that his weight was distributed evenly. His past experiences were his teachers and he was a dutiful student through many failures. Now he held himself poised to strike, one paw raised to cheek level, claws ready to unsheathe. His tail was lowered and its tip danced about inches from the ground. He looked like he could rival Riverclan's best fishers...

"I knew you were a problem kit, but I never thought you'd go this far." Swiftstrike growled as he followed behind Tailwind, who didn't break stride at the comment. "The clan would've thrived under my leadership. My father is too old and foolish to lead properly anymore." Arion responded, his voice sharp and without remorse. "And how many cats would suffer so that Windclan could continue to exist? How many cats, loyal to your father, would you have killed just to lead? We were in a time of peace, Tailwind. With ourselves and the other clans." Swiftstrike meowed, his voice, though strong, was laced with sorrow. He had known the leader's son since he was a kit, and thought of him as a brother. To see him now, like this...he couldn't help but feel his heart ache. "Windclan could be so much more, Swiftstrike. But now, we will never see its full potential." Arion retorted, not even a glimmer of regret in his voice...

Mistpool eyes Tiberium curiosly, but held her tongue, not wanting to break his concentration. She herself began sniffing around for celandine, hoping that some new young shoots would be unfurling.

After lining up his target, Tiberium's paw shot into the water, claws extending seconds before they hooked onto the scaly side of a fish. Quickly, he wrenched the fish to the surface and clamped down upon its back thereafter. He moved away from the riverbank, the fish flopping about within his jaws. It was decently sized and of a blue-silver color, the back being darker and almost black. Its fins were dark green closest to its body and virtually clear by their ends.
