Some time later, the inn keeper started to descend the stairs, the fire in her new guest's room lit. The thought occurred to her that the burgundy chair had been turned away from the fireplace and that the stranger was sitting in it when she first saw him that morning. When did he move it, and how did she not hear anything downstairs? He couldn’t have lifted it...
"Desrium?" Syria called out as she looked around the lobby. The towel she gave him was on her desk but the armored traveler was nowhere to be seen. She looked the other way, perhaps he was in the kitchen? Before she could even look to the large table a few yards away from her, she saw the door to the library, opened wider than she'd left it. She stepped towards it and looked into the room. There she saw Desrium bracing against a shelf, a large book bound in black leather in hand. "Zuppoland?" She asked. Desrium looked up from the pages, his eyes strangely bright. Maybe her eyes were playing tricks on her; after all she had been up most of the night sorting things. He nodded simply and looked back to the book, finding the print fascinating. When he first looked at the book, each individual symbol triggered spurts of insight, then came the meanings of the strings of letters- words- and the meanings of entire sentences thereafter. The strange thing was, despite the sudden grasp of the written language, this knowledge didn’t just come to him. He was learning something new by his own will and action; the feeling of which was completely new to him. He was mystified by what was on the pages. "I lit the fireplace" Syria said to him after the short pause. "You may go up and warm yourself. Thank you for going out there for me. You did me- and Perioul- a big favor"
Desrium looked up again and replied "You found a stranger in the hours of the moon and decided to give him a place to spend the night. It was only natural for me to return the kindness. If you don’t mind...I'd like to take the book with me"
“…Of course” Syria said, slightly surprised. She didn’t expect Desrium to say much. “Thank you” He replied, balancing back on his feet before walking past her and up the stairs. Before he got to the next floor, Syria asked “Did you have any trouble with the wild life?” Desrium stopped on the stairs in mid step. He turned his head slightly and simply said “No” before continuing on his way.

A deep voice boomed within, Septimus' head.

"AS YOU WISH, DRAGONBORN. YOU SHALL SEE YOUR CREATOR, AS YOU TRULLY DESERVE."

The statue in the front of the church shook a bit, as its great feet wretch themselves free from its stand. The eyes upon it glow a bright white, the effigy's maw also emitting a bright light. Soon, the whole statue becomes animated, its tail glowing red, just as the god's real tail would. With a snort and a puff of smoke, the effigy looks down upon Septimus.

"GREETINGS, SEPTIMUS. WHAT BRINGS YOU TO DRAXON?"

Kubba says, "Nearing place we should be soon...."

Shezz nods while continuing to lead the group through the trail, heading further east with them at the moment.

Ikargu soon reaches the cliffhanger outside of his home, before lowering himself for Sarah to get off of his back...

Sarah slides off of Ikargu's back, obviously tired.....

The brothers continue along, hopnig that it is as close as they hope....

Tristan was within sight of the gryphon masters, and they did not falter in speed. Their mounts screeched loudly, heading as fast as they can towards the palace that lay so close, yet so far....

The guards keeping watch at the gate, eyed the rider suspiciously, before shrugging. "Alright. But WE'LL be th eones to deliver this lett er to Trajan. You just wait right here until we come back." The guards spoke in perfect unison as the one on the left walked toward the rider, ready to take the letter from him...

Ikargu soon lays down on the perch, slightly tired as well, his eyes moving around to watch the area around his and Sarah's home, but moved into the cave a bit.

Shezz stops for a moment, before pulling out a few pieces of dried meat for the group along with a canteen of water to be shared among them all...

The gryphon masters soon are on the edges of the city, ready to fly towards the palace.....

Sarah lies down and begins to rest....

Kubba says, "For us to share is it?"

Shezz nods, before handing over some of the meat, two for each of the goblins, and gives the canteen to Kubba and his brothers after drinking a bit.

Ikargu continues to rest, thinking of what he and Sarah could do next while his tail slowly swayed behind him, near his daughter...

Kubba nods. "Thank you, friend of eld." The brothers eat a bit and each take a small drink form the canteen before giving the canteen back to Shezz and saving what meat they hadn't eaten for later.

Shezz tightens the top of the canteen before putting it up and continuing on, chewing on a small piece of the meat he kept for himself...

"His Lordship ordered me to hand it to the King personally. I have no problem with being escorted, if you see fit. But I'm afraid i cannot give the letter to anyone but him" said the messenger sincerely. he was a junior member of the Silver Order, but he knew this was a task he couldn't afford to go wrong with. these were dangerous times and mistakes were unacceptable...

I was half expecting you to stay still and silent. If you must know, this just happened to be one of the places I randomly picked on the map on my little adventure. I'm roaming Aster in search of knowledge. After gathering that the Draxons worshipped a Dragon I decided to come here and investigate responded Septimus simply, only mildly surprised that there was some truth to the avatar's behaviour rather than it being formulated by the zealots that inhabited this place...

The avatar nods calmly.

"I SEE. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN HELP YOU WITH? PERHAPS A LOOK INTO YOUR FUTURE? KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR KIN? THE ONE YOU CALL ARASHI? I CAN TELL MUCH ABOUT YOUR FELLOW DRAGONS, SEPTIMUS......"

The gryphon masters were now upon the palace, and swooped down from the heavens, hoping to get their king's note to the germanian leader.....

Revion halted and observed the area. The plains were vast, and it seemed like the flat lands went on forever. It seemed there was no sign of life, outside the occasional bird fluttering about. Where exactly were they? The black stallion looked at Serenity with a puzzled expression. "I think we're alone..." he stated, and sighed. "It is going to be a quiet journey. I hope there is water somewhere. Do you think we should head back to the forest?"

Serenity shook her head. "No...I am not even going to consider that option, after what happened to you. That place is dangerous." She shivered at the thought of encountering another attack from one of those...creatures. "Besides, we don't have that dragon around. I believe he is long gone. I wonder where he went."

Revion snorted. "Who knows. I am just thankful he was there to save us. Arashi is a powerful one...and interesting. He was asking some peculiar questions."

The white filly stared at Revion suspiciously. "Oh? What kind of questions?"

"Just about a unicorn's power." Revion continued walking at he said this. "I told him all that I knew. After all, the only power we have is to heal..."

Serenity trotted to catch up with the black unicorn. "You think that was wise, Revion?"

Revion nodded without a doubt passing through his mind. "I believe Arashi is to be trusted. He did save me, after all."

Septimus' eyes narrowed. He had mentioned his father once or twice since leaving the Kirrahara mountains.....but there was something he could use to test this Dragon 'god'. Before that....Answer me this......What is my mother's name? he asked mentally, seeming all but silent to those around him...

"By this point there are a number of people who know about me and my father. It doesn't take a god to overhear and repeat, or to make up stories based on that. Answer me another question. How old are the Hueilin?" responded Septimus, his eyes narrowed. the more he saw of this Greshlynk, the more his scepticism grew...

Thousands? responded Septimus amusedly. Greshlynk was proving to be even less convincing than he had expected. And what is the reason My kind dwell where they do? he asked finally...the most well kept secret amongst the Hueilin, and a role of divine importance...if Greshlynk was truly who he said he was, he would know...

Greshlynk chuckles. "I DO NOT KNOW, FOR I NEVER CARED TO FIND OUT. WHY METTLE WITH YOUR AFFAIRS, WHEN I CAN BE.... CREATING MORE OF YOUR KIN, HMMM?"

Our purpose is of divine importance, Greshlynk responded Septimus simply. "Very well Greshlynk. As the creator of my kind, you SHOULD know the names of your creations. I will make it easier for you. Name ANY one of my kind that I know in my former community aside from myself and Arashi" he rumbled loudly, making sure he could be heard...
