Shadowstar nodded. "Thank you, Cyclostar. We should go now - but send word if those rogues start to make trouble again, and we'll gladly come again." She turned back to her Clanmates and meowed, "ThunderClan, let's go home." As they began to stretch and make for the WindClan camp entrance and she joined them, she paused beside Firestreak and murmured, "You're welcome to join us, if you wish." She wouldn't force the young tom; but she still felt a pang of guilt whenever she thought of him roaming the forest, self-exiled from the Clan of his birth. She couldn't help feeling she'd failed him in some way....perhaps now was the time to begin making up for that.

Tiberium made the effort to hide his amusement, mewing "Easy there, Thundercat. I thought it'd take more than a fish to get you clan cats riled up"

The gray loner fell into the ranks of the Thunderclan warriors leaving the camp as they left the clan. He stayed out of the way and out of sight, lingering at the back of the group.

Firestreak's frown deepened, and his mind became utter turmoil. He was conflicted: every fiber of his being wanted to go back to Shadowstar and the clan, but his love for his parents prevented him from doing so. But...his self-imposed exile didn't exclude visits to clans, right? Firestreak was sure he found a loophole, and his expression brightened. "I think I will...at least, for a while." the orange and white tom responded with a grin, eager to return to the clan, even if was only for a day.

Shadowstar smiled back, turning to follow her Clanmates. "Come then; we all deserve a rest, after today."

Mistpool let out a slightly frustrated sigh as she dropped the fish for the third time. "You make this look easier than it is," she mewed, bending to pick the prey up again.

Firestreak nodded, following quickly after Shadowstar.

Meanwhile, Windclan was busy picking up the broken pieces of their clan. The elders were given food, while others were escorted when they went to quench their thirsts. The kits were back with their respective parents, and none seemed damaged by the ordeal. Cyclostar continued to deprave himself of food and water so long as his clanmates were in need...

Tiberium smiled, a look of understanding on his face. "Its only because of my practice, I wasn't always this good. My brother makes running up trees and snatching birds from their perches look easy when its anything but. He got that way from his own practice." he mewed, thinking back to the many times he fell into the water and the many times he watched his brother skid down tree trunks, claws tearing up bark on the way. He glanced upwards at the memories, spotting a rolling line of gray clouds approaching from the far distance. "Looks like it might rain later" he thought

"Impressive performance indeed, Shadowstar. Your clan is definitely something to take pride in. The poor fools never saw it coming. You may as well have dropped the moon on them" growled the black tom as he stepped out of the bush moments after Shadowstar and Firestreak walked past...

Shadowstar paused, turning. She twitched one ear as her eyes narrowed the slightest bit. After a few seconds of trying to puzzle out why the tom seemed vaguely familiar, she mewed "....Thank you...but how exactly do you know me?"

Mispool made a small understanding sound, struggling to avoid dropping the fish yet again. It was like all the practicing apprentices did even when their mentors were too busy to train or gave them a day off. With each repetition the moves they made became more natural, smoother, more precise.

Firestreak turned just as Shadowstar did, his eyes narrowing sharply at the sight of the new arrival. Although he didn't know the cat's name, he did know the reputation that preceeded him; he could best be described as a cat who doesn't know when to keep out of others' business. Shadowstar didn't seemed worried, however, and he understood why. With a great deal of Thunderclan warriors around them, and Windclan not far away, the tom, even if it had friends, was just as hopelessly outnumbered as the flea-bitten rogues were moments ago...

"My dear, one only needs to be observant to learn of these things. But I digress, I have had my fair share of Gatherings. It's not difficult to remember the names of Clan Leaders. Especially considering my own made such a big deal about vilifying you" growled Wraith with a smirk...

Tiberium looked on at the display trying to keep his face expressionless, as stiff as the stones and pebbles beside the river. The memories of his days as a fledgling fisher came back to him and he fought the urge to burst into laughter. And to think that not too long ago, this was him at the shore, scrambling after a flopping fish that he had just learned to get out of the water. Long disproved was the notion of fish being easy prey on land, for even when out of their domain and suffocating, they always fought to the end. "Like this" he mewed, trying to focus his attention on something less amusing. He dipped his head and demonstrated his technique that allowed him to bite into the flank of a fish and maintain his grip.

"ShadowClan..." Shadowstar concluded, taking in the tom's appearance once more. She glanced at Firestreak, then at her Clanmates, then back to the black tom. "That explains why I know your face, then." The smallest of half-smiles twitched at the corner of her mouth. "If there's one thing your Clan knows, it's how to make an impression."

The medicine cat did her best to imitate the loner, feeling like an apprentice being shown which herbs were the right ones again.

"There, you've got it" Tiberium mewed encouragingly, lifting his head and prompting Mistpool to do the same, confident that she would be able to handle the kill well enough to carry it into the forest...

Wraith chuckled. "Pity a lot of them are too wrapped up in loathing to consider the potential benefits of cooperation, though I'm sure my musings on my former Clan's shortcomings are of no interest to you" he growled, his smirk slowly fading as he sighed. "What may be of interest to you is this; While I'm not usually one to meddle in the affairs of the Clans, I believe this is reason enough to break my routine. In light of recent events, I would think it wise to exercise caution in the following moons, Shadowstar. If there's one thing that can be said about rogues its that they're persistent in their aggression. They were beaten this time....but the fact they won at all will be motivation to other such fools. For your sakes and for those of the other clans, It'd be wise to be on your guard" he warned, narrowed amber eyes staring back towards the direction the rogues had run....

"We can only hope it doesn't come to another fight," Shadowstar meowed, tipping her head to one side. "Thank you for the warning, though..." She shot another glance at her Clanmates, some of whom had turned back curiously to see what was holding her up. "If you'll excuse us, we really must be on our way."

The new position was a little awkward on her neck muscles, the medicine cat not being used to carrying prey in this way. But as she started walking again she found it worked much better than trying to carry the fish in the same way as one would carry a squirrel.

"Fighting has become less of a last resort and more of a part of life in recent moons, Shadowstar. I'm sure your Loner friend can vouch for me on that count" responded Wraith as he turned away, heading in a different direction, staring back towards the cats, amber eyes almost burning in the fiery light of the sunset washing over the plains of Windclan's territory. "May we meet again soon...hopefully on a lighter note" growled the Tom as he headed off, the cat's black figure soon becoming difficult to identify as he drifted into the shadow of the hill towards the borders...

"Well that was...interesting." Firestreak meowed as the cat left, frowning, slightly irritated by its presence.

Ferallion eyed the bush that the black tom had appeared from curiously, one eye slightly larger than the other. He glanced over to the other bushes scattered about the area, his vision panning across large grassy spaces in between the plants. "I wonder if any other cats are waiting for their chance to appear" he thought before he continued on his way behind the group...

Tiberium commended the medicine cat with a wordless meow as he followed her into the treeline. The burning light of the setting sun was broken up by the branches, leaves and shrubs of the forest and the shadows crept with each passing moment. The gray clouds also made their way across the sky, and it seemed the night would bring rain with it. He wondered if his brother and the clan cats would be forced to spend the night dealing with the rogue situation; deciding that it wasn't likely that would be the case. "He's probably back at camp wondering where I wandered off to..." the white loner mused

"Indeed," Shadowstar murmured, watching the black tom leave for a moment through curiously narrowed eyes. With a twitch of one ear, she shrugged it off and turned. "Come; a celebration is in order after this victory," she meowed in brighter tones, picking up the pace a bit in order to catch up to her Clanmates.

Once out of sight of the river, Mistpool found a sunny spot to settle down in, the reddish light of the setting sun casting burning spots of light on her blue-gray pelt. Sure that they were safely out of view of any RiverClan warriors who may pass by, she crunched into the fish again, chewing and swallowing before asking, "Are you sure you don't want some?"

Firestreak's expression brightened, trotting after the Thunderclan leader eagerly...
