[Iceking]

Upon seeing the cloud , Lord Ghidorah flew up higher, keeping his eyes on the ground below. He also readied himself to fire his gravity beams once he saw Megapede emerge...

As the cloud faded, Megapede was nowhere to be seen. Only a large hole marked where he had gone underground, and there was no sound to mark his location, only the crumble of loosened roadwork...

[Iceking]

Not seeing any sign that Megapede would emerge yet, Lord Ghidorah fired a gravity beam down into a small building, causing the structure to collapse. Perhaps the burrowing monster would mistake the vibrations of the building falling as the dragon himself landing and would surface to attack, in which case Lord Ghidorah himself would attack...

Megapede burst from the ground, but not where Lord Ghidorah had predicted. Instead, he emerged behind where the dragon was facing. Seeing that Lord Ghidorah was still in the air, the centipede monster screeched and sprayed another stream of acid at the space dragon's backside, before vanishing beneath the earth again...

[Iceking]

Whirling around upon hearing the screech, Lord Ghidorah managed to raise his energy shield to stop most of the acid from hitting him and what did land on him was quickly shaken off. Hissing in annoyance, he raised his shield once again and waited for Megapede to emerge again. Even though the shield wouldn't allow his energy attacks to get to the centipede, it would render another attempt to attack from behind useless until the Lord of Terror decided that he didn't need the shield up any more...

Megapede emerged once again, again from behind, and screeched at the shielded Lord Ghidorah, but didn't attack. Instead, he retreated back underground before the space dragon could retaliate...

[Iceking]

Lord Ghidorah whirled upon hearing the screech, seeing that Megapede had descended before he could attack. Descending closer to the ground, his shield dissapeared, the space dragon listening and ready to whirl around should the centipede try to come up behind him again...

The ground exploded again, but not from behind Lord Ghidorah. Instead, Megapede emerged from right below him, launching out of the ground and clamping his mandible onto one of the dragon's tails. He arced his segmented body and stabbed his scythe-shaped tail blade into Lord Ghidorah's flank scorpion-style, injecting him with his paralytic venom...

Lord Ghidorah snarled in pain from the strikes, but acted quickly. Using both of his feet, he dealt a powerful kick to the top of Megapde's head, the blows enough to force the centipede to let go of his tail and cause Megapede to plummet to the ground before a large amount of the poison in the tail be injected into his blood stream. Hissing angrily, the dragon then looked down and fired his gravity beams into Megapede, picking him up before tossing him like a ragdoll into a nearby building...

Screeching as he crashed into the building, Megapede furiously thrashed as he freed himself from the building rubble, burrowing underground yet again to prevent further attacks...

[Iceking]

Having partially seen Megapde heading under ground despite the cloud that came from the destroyed building, Lord Ghidorah suddenly flew over where the monster had burrowed, stopping himself once he was several meters away from that location. He kept himself ready for Megapede to emerge, using his wings to slowly increase his altitude for the momment to avoid the attack from recently working again on him...

There was a much louder rumble this time as Megapede burrowed swiftly underneath Lord Ghidorah, the rumble fading away as he shifted positions...

[Iceking]

Hearing the rumble, Lord Ghidorah fired an energy sphere down onto where he heard it, intent on making the tunnel cave in and even if it didn't trap Megapede, it would expose him if he went the same way again...

The energy sphere exploded, but Megapede had long since moved out of the way. The rumble seemed to go in every direction as Megapede worked his way all over the area, dust clouds puffing up here and there...

[Iceking]

Seeing that Megapede had not yet surfaced to attack, Lord Ghidorah flew up even higher, using his heads to watch a different area. If the earth monster tried to spray acid onto the dragon again from behind, the three headed monster would be ready for it...

Still the monstrous centipede did not emerge. He almost seemed busy with something else underground...

[Iceking]

Lord Ghidorah hissed impatiently, descending slightly through the air. He didn't know what Megapede was up to, but he knew that it was smart enough to use it's burrowing to it's advantage and he had no intention of falling into a trap...

Megapede popped up after a few moments, only his head emerging from the ground as he screeched at Lord Ghidorah, half-heartedly spraying acid at the space dragon before going back underground...

[Iceking]

Lord Ghidorah raised his shield, blocking the acid from hitting him. He kept coming in closer to the ground, wanting to lure Megapede into showing at least his head again so that next time, he could grab the centipede with his gravity beams...

Megapede burrowed underneath Lord Ghidorah, making sure it was obvious he had moved, throwing up a plume of dust, before suddenly turning back around making sure the dragon didn't notice him go back to where he was earlier...
