Lord Ghidorah raised his energy shield again once he saw the dust cloud. If Megapede wanted to keep staying underground, then he would be in for a dissapointment when he surfaced...

Megapede emerged behind Lord Ghidorah and, despite seeing his shield was up, sprayed acid at the beast anyway, before vanishing beneath the earth again, trying to lure the dragon to the ground...

Hearing the sound of Megapede emerging, Lord Ghidorah whirled, only to see that he was too late. Deciding to try something else, he lowered himself to the ground until he landed, only to suddenly take back to the air, not intent on falling for a trick that he expected from a burrowing monster...

As Lord Ghidorah landed, the ground trembled, dipping slightly, and Megapede still didn't emerge, waiting for another opening. As far as he was concerned, he could wait out the large monster all day if he so wished...

Annoyed that this fight wasn't going anywhere and that neither was willing to come to whether the other held the advantage, Lord Ghidorah flew to a place nearby that was several meters away from his current position and landed, keeping himself ready to take back to the air...

Even at the spot where Lord Ghidorah was standing, the ground dipped, but this time it collapsed completely, sending the heavy dragon tumbling into a large pit in the ground, his wings only partially able to spread. Megapede, now that one of his well-laid traps had been sprung, burst from the side of the pit, slamming into the dragon, ramming his mandibles, stinger, and tail blade into Lord Ghidorah's scales, simultaneously spraying acid at point-blank range onto the beast...

Howling in rage, Lord Ghidorah clamped his jaws onto Megapede with two of his heads while his third fired a point blank Gravity beam into the centipede's right eye, making it stop it's attacks temporarily. Using the beam to lift his foe up, the dragon then fired an energy sphere into Megapede as he stopped the beam, the sphere sending the burrowing monster slamming into one of the nearby walls of the pit...

Megapede, bruised and battered, but not yet defeated, burrowed into the side of the pit, making sure to slash at Lord Ghidorah's chest with his tail blade as he turned around and retreated. Soon after, Megapede's venom began to take effect, Lord Ghidorah's lower body beginning to go numb as the paralytic toxin took effect...

Lord Ghidorah fired a gravity beam into Megapede's tail blade before it could disappear. Now realizing that something was happening to his lower body, he turned his heads his head to the walls and began to fire energy spheres into the sides of the pit, blowing holes into it to make room for his wings. After a few spheres, he had made enough room to unfold his wings completley and began to fly upward, using his energy shield to ward off any attempt to attack him with acid...

Megapede, aware that Lord Ghidorah probably wouldn't land again, and knowing the beast was more powerful in an all-out assault, had no choice but to continue his current assault, repeatedly popping out of the ground and spraying acid at the dragon, knowing it would eventually hit it if the creature tried to fight back...

Having grown annoyed with Megapede, Lord Ghidorah began to partially charge a vortex blast. When it was ready, he waited for the centipede to emerge again and when he did, fired the energy attack. The mass of energy slammed into the centipede and even though Lord Ghidorah was certain it would survive the hit, it would be hurt. When he fired his blast, though, some of the acid splashed onto him, burning his scales. Shaking his head, he managed to get much of it off before too much damage could be sustained...

The blast succeeded in knocking Megapede out of his hole, tumbling across a street and into the park, scythe blade slamming into a corner of the osaka Castle, tearing out a large chunk of it. Screeching furiously, Megapede decided it was much more prudent to retreat, burrowing back underground and making his way back to the coast, more intent on saving his own skin then stopping the destructive space dragon...

Lord Ghidorah let out a triumphant cackle when he saw that Megapede had burrowed away and after waiting for several minutes, saw nothing happen. Aware that the vortex blast had drained some of his life force, the Lord of terror none the less decided that he still had enough strength to destroy this city, although he intended to limit the use of his beams for now to conserve energy after his final attack. Flying over a building, the dragon let himself land on it, his weight breaking the structure into several pieces...

A very good battle, DM. I do feel that it sort of dragged on a bit, though. That's mainly because of the part where LG and Megapede were trying to get each other to come to where they could have had an easy shot at each other. The main mistake you made was you didn't take advantage of Megapede's barbs. For instance, when Lord Ghidorah fell into the hole, you could have had Megapede fire a paralyzing barb from his wrists into one of his wings, which would have crippled LG and he wouldn't have been able to escape from where he was at a disadvantage until the neurotoxin wore off. Megapede's explosive barbs could have also been useful for ranged combat.

Yeah, I forgot about the barbs actually. Still, all it really would've done is make the fight slightly more interesting.

Tyrant Xenomorph vs Pred-1

Location:Bejing

The eyeless creature hissed angrily at the metallic form that stood before it. Acid dripped from the Tyrant Xeno's mouth, burning holes into the concrete. The odd beast waited for the mech to make a move, so as to find out what weapons Pred-1 had as it's disposal...

Pred-1's visor scanned the Xenomorph, recognizing its shape as matching that of the foul creatures that had once infested New York. Recognizing the threat immediately, Pred-1 extended its wrist blades and shoulder cannons, firing a pair of charged shots at the creature...

[Iceking]

Leaping to the side of the shots, the Tyrant Xeno landed nimbly on it's feet before spitting a stream of acid at Pred-1...

Pred-1 activated its jets, leaping into the air at the same time, flying over the acid in an extended leap, before landing in front of the Tyrant, slashing its wrist blades across the monster's chest in both directions.

[Iceking]

The Tyrant xeno snarled angrily from the slashes, but countered by spraying acid directly onto Pred-1's head and stabbing it in the chest with his tail blade...

Pred-1 grabbed the Tyrant Xeno's tail, stopping the blade inches from its chest, and shook its head, clearing off the acid. Smashing its helmeted head into the Xeno's face, Pred-1 made its opponent stumble back. The mech leaped backwards, peppering the stunned Xeno with weaker, but automatic-firing, shoulder cannon blasts...
