"I don't recognize such a design," Grievous replied. "And I don't know why such a thing would be infiltrating my manufacturing plants..." Grievous coughed for a moment. "It doesn't matter. What matters, is that I am currently on the Citadel. We are investigating the possible whereabouts of Saren based on your earlier mission. It may take some time. I suppose you two can relax from your chase until we get a solid lead..."

"Understood. In the mean time, I'll restock our supplies, rearm and see if I can't get this limb brought back to working order. If possible, I'd like the pay for the previous job sent to me as soon as possible. It will help pay for the damage" responded Khuurava, already charting a course for Surundrakh, knowing he'd be able to access better medical facilities there, at better prices, as well as perhaps better supplies. "Khuurava out" he said, as the connection was cut...

A week later saw Khuurava drifting, once more through Citadel space. His limb had recovered and was now back to it's previous performing standards. He had acquired some upgraded equipment, including somewhat better shield capacitors for his armour, boosting both the shield's durability and regen-time. He had also managed to acquire explosive weapons mods for his primary weapons, which made it so the rounds fired by his weapons were chemically manipulated to generate extremely high temperatures, sufficient to cause the surfaces of targets to explode as a result of being turned into plasma, having the potential to blow layers off armoured targets, though at the price of fewer rounds per thermal sink. He had, of course, had to pull a few strings for something so dangerous, contacting his special forces friends for access to black ops equipment. Additionally, he had bought a grenade launcher, equipped with armour piercing high explosive ballistic warheads, specifically to give Khuurava a fighting chance against armoured opponents, the Khurakra not wanting a repeat of the mech incident...

Elsewhere in the galaxy, the Blue Suns ship carrying Anto was called back, the search having gone for a week and several days, with no luck. Aria's trail had gone cold. All they could hope for now was a call for a ransom, or a confirmation of her death. In the mean time, Kharss had taken over control of her organisation, those loyal to him being promoted to positions Aria had reserved for her own personal guard, in order to avoid risks of betrayal...not that they had a chance. Despite her surface rulership, the Patriarch still had a very powerful grip on the roots of the station, although the facts of it were often a well kept secret. He didn't WANT to take back his old throne, but he knew that without someone of his or Aria's power to keep firm control of the place, the Merc groups would move in and outright war would be unleashed. He had no intention of letting that happen. Not after all the work he put into stabilising this place, before, during and after his rulership of the station...

Shortly after the space around 'Home' was vacated, the scout ship was deployed, its course completely opposite to theirs. It was in direct contradiction to Seeker habits, where the robots would have followed the ships for observation and...plunder. However, Ecliptor had much larger plans, plans that were more than a week in the making. From the information he took from the outpost, he was able to piece together a galactic map. Citadel space, renegade territories and free space- all were known to the Seeker, and he intended to make the most of his findings...

The ship shot off into the abyss, a hyperspace jump taking it to the galactic hub of the organics...Citadel space...

Arrak, meanwhile had not gotten significant upgrades, but with the loss of his Phaeston, he was forced to replace. Not wanting to risk going to Palaven, he instead simply bought a Mattock rifle off the Omega Markets, modifying it with Disruptor Ammo. With the number of Geth (not to mention other mechs) around, he needed to be properly equipped. He had also done some research on the Burning Claws. Their leader was a Vorcha named Gralk, who was considered a mutant, even among his own kind. Arrak had little doubt that he was the one who had orchestrated the ambush a week prior. Obviously, he hadn't accounted on such stiff resistance, or the arrival of the unknown mech, an issue Arrak left to Khuurava, considering he was the one who fought it directly. General Grievous was still in Citadel Space, likely deal with the customary political BS that went with it. They would get a message from him, or the Council, as soon as Saren's whereabouts were discovered...

"I don't think I've ever been left hanging for a whole week before. Damned politicians and their red tape..." grumbled Khuurava as he sat in the cockpit of the Ezdelera, navigating across the stars en route to the Citadel. With their lead gone, and a lack of alternatives, he was left with little option but to drift aimlessly. Still, he had decided to head to the Citadel to speak to Grievous in person, and hopefully avoid wasting time. With a bit of luck, he could perhaps find a team mate who'd be more resilient under fire while he was there...

However, Khuuurava wasn't alone in space...

Behind a nearby meteorite, an odd vessel decloaked as Ezdelera shot past it. Engines turned on, and the ship, a large bulbous-shaped thing, went off after it, the plasma turret under it warming up...

As the Sheekh phantoms lifted off of the god-forsaken planet they had been trapped on. Hours had passed since their original incursion, and, thanks to some crafty planning, the Phantoms had managed to capture the vicious beast, and trapped in the back of their ship. Agrippa sat up front in his cockpit, stayign silent and avoiding his team. He needed time to himself. Was it really a good idea to take... that THING onboard their ship? As useful that monster might be for medical and scietific reasons, it coudl break free... and wreak havoc onboard his ship...

"Yeah, maybe--" Arrak detected the heat signature of the pursuing ship as its cloak disabled and engines flared up. "Uh oh, we got some company, Khuurava," the Turian said, pointing at the sensor screen...

Warnings lit up in the cockpit as the raider was pinpointed, Khuurava snarling irritably. "Pirates...As if I didn't already have enough problems" snarled the Khurakra irritably. Switching into combat mode, the ship's engines roared into overdrive as it pulled ahead, making some distance as the weapons came online, the engines' increased output also acting as a beacon for any nearby Citadel Race fleets in the area. His helmet activated, unfolding from his back and assembling around his head, locking into position and sealing itself, bracing for potential hull breaches. "Brace yourself. We're boarding" he warned, as Directional thrusters kicked in on the bow and stern of the ship, driving it into a 90 degree 'vertical' turn, before rocketing off. They were very like running off schematics for his ship that were meant for the stock model. His was customised to have an engine considerably more powerful than the original; it was immensely agile...

Unluckily for the Phantom craft, they were soon heading straight towards a large oject off the front bow. One of the phantoms vocied over the comms," Unidentified oject coming in close. Scanning for any signs of life."

Agrippa cursed under his breath. Just what they needed. An obstacle to Grehn...

Unbeknownst to the pirates, the miniscule scout ship was speeding along after their craft. Its Seeker captain was drawn to the large vessel by the prospect of observation and inevitable pillage, picking up on its energy signature shortly after its reveal. Dwarfed as it was, Ecliptor's ship closed in on the pirate vessel from behind, undetected by either parties. The heat of the giant ship masked it from the Ezdelera and its emissions were negligible in comparison that it practically didn't register to its sensors. Its small size meant it was not only able to keep up with the pirate vessel with minimal thrust, but maneuver around it until it extended its 24 landing struts and magnetically anchored itself to its hull...

The massive vessel, over 3,000 feet in length, tried to keep up with Khuurava's ship, though the diffrence of speed was noticable.

But there was always the second option...

The sides of the ship seemed to open up as numerous pods, round in shape and roughly 30 feet in diameter, rocketed out, numbering 12 in total, the pods racing toward the ship... all unaware of the scouter ship...

The ship scanners soon concluded that the unknown object was a ship... a very large one, in fact. One of unknown origins as well. "Shall I open up communications, Agrippa?" The sheekh said. Agrippa paused. Thinknig deeply, he soon sighed and turned to the Sheekh, eyes locknig on him.

"No," Agripp said. "Too risky."

The ship's defences made short work of several pods, the plasma autocannons tearing the boarding pods apart as they came, thrusters changing the ship's heading so that it was directly facing them, before rocketing towards them on a collision course. The power of the ship's kinetic barriers was sufficient enough to allow the Ezdelera to literally ram right through them, potentially destroying each and every pod...

It was obvious whoever was in command of the pirate Carrier wasn't pleased. As the ship maneuvered to try and avoid the collision, the plasma turret on the underside began to open fire, several plasma bolts fired right for the incoming ship, ready to tear it apart...

"Sir, heat signatures coming in from the ship," the Sheekh said. Agrippa's eyes widened as he came to the realization as to what was going on. That ship was definitely not friendly.

"Activate cloaking," Agrippa said, "and slow the thrusters. We don't want to be detected as we pass by."

"Yes sir," The sheekh said as he activated cloaking and lowered the thruster's power...

After emerging from a lateral hatch, the Seeker honed in on the ports several yards above his ship. Landing near the bottom hull, the speedy craft was less likely to be spotted or hit during the battle. That was not to say it was safe, the entire operation was risky, not that Ecliptor was daunted by danger. Paying no mind to the engagement taking place, the Seeker ran across the hull with his magnetic augmentations and entered a pod bay, infiltrating the pirate ship in a matter of minutes.

The Ezdelera's directional thrusters kicked in again, the ship spinning through the first couple of shots before banking out of the way of the rest, shooting past the frigate, ion beams and plasma autocannons whittling down the pirate ship's defences, two Focused Plasma Missiles smashing into the ship's hull as the Ezdelera passed. The Mercenary's ship then redirected, preparing to board. As much as he enjoyed tying the pirate ship's defences in knots, he wanted to end this...

The plasma turret of the ship whirled and continued to open fire, several shots splashing against the outer hull of the Ezdelera, while the hull of the pirate carrier's own hull took the plasma missles, but not very well. If they were going to be borded, then they would go down righting...

the Ezdelera drifted round the hull of the ship, the shots splashing against the kinetic barriers, minimising the damage, as the ship halted over one side of the ship, near the pods, magnetic clamps activating on the underside of the ship, locking the Ezdelera against it, as the ship automatically shifted most of it's power to the shields, Khuurava rushing down the stairs to the cargo bay, the door opening as turrets rolled out of the ceiling, prepared to shred any space pirate foolish enough to attempt to board, he himself leaping out of the cargo bay and into one of the pod bays...
