the space between the two gave enough time for the mechanical monstrosity to react, slamming the Dragon in the face with the shield as he reached out for it, knocking the Dragon back and stabbing it with one of the large talons as he did so, draining more of the broken Dragon's life force through the talon, a sinister, rattling laugh scraping from the abomination's jaws as dark electrical energy crackled across his form...

Mustering up his strength, Kori Kahn delivered a vicious double kick, forcing Damaar backwards from the weakened and exhausted dragon. Kori Kahn rolled to his feet, his woudns quite grievous and impeding. The dragon had come in far over his head, and needed to get away. At the very least, he needed to return to his home to protect his people, but he would need to tell others. Kori Kahn knew his attack wouldn't keep Damaar distracted for long, so he turned around, eyes looking droopy, before he spat an ice beam at Damaar as he began kicking up dust with his wings. Hopefully, he would be able to make his escape, using the lift generated from beating his wings to try and get away....

Squama howled and hissed from the damage caused to him, but thanks to his scales, the injuries weren't that serious. Shaking his head in irritation, the Serpent dived down beneath the waves, before surging back up from right underneath the ffiery bird, fangs ready to puncture through feathers...

Ravenova flew towards Kori Kahn instead, hovering in front of him as if she were a shield and calling forth meteorites at the enemies attacking him. She showed no mercy, and wasn't going to stop anytime soon. The bird created a tornado of flame and fired it forwards at the attackers...

The serpent slithered up onto the island, rearing up to his full height. He slithered toward Kori-Kahn and Ravenova, his thick scales helping ot ward off the damage from the fire twister. Squama's tail dug into the earth, before he lifted out and hurled a large boulder at the two of them...

Ravenova fired a large, purple beam at the serpentine enemy, destroying the boulder to smithereens and hitting him in the face, giving him a somewhat serious burn on his left brow ridge. She wish she had healing abilities... then this would be so much easier. Ravenova created another firestorm, launching it at Damaar...

A rattling snarl came from the Mechanical monstrosity as he leapt at the thermal tornado, soaking up the fiery energy and bursting out the other side at a flat out sprint, his previous victim temporarily forgotten, the Warlord seeing a possible challenge in the two monsters clashing before him, the monster charging towards them rapidly, his shield held up before him like a battering ram...

Squama shook the pain from the beam away, before he noticed Damaar charging right at him and Ravenova. The serpent's eyes narrowed. As he had thought... This was between predator and prey, and no one was to interfere! But if he wanted a fight, then he'd gladly take on both of them, if not all three. He could use the extra food for later. The snake roared out as he swung his tail into Damaar, the force of the impact denting the armor on the biomechanical horror while sending him sprawling head over heels right toward Ravenova...

the movement of such a large creature was almost too easy to see coming, the abomination leaping over the incoming tail and colliding with the serpent's form, the sheer force of the impact knocking its head and upper body downwards as his talons plunged into its stomach scales, the resonating blades shearing through armour like wet paper, Damaar latching on mercilessly as he tore at the serpent, fully intent on dismembering the creature and consuming the sizeable life force it no doubt had...

Before Damaar's talong could inflict their unholy damage, Squama's tail smashed it in the back, toppling the cyborg right off of the snake. Righting itself, the serpent let out an unwordly shriek, eyes flaring with anger as it curled up into an S position, its dozen-foot long fangs dripping with saliva...

the talons raked a long streak of destruction as the monstrosity slid down its form, before kicking off, talons splaying as the shield's base was hammered into the ground with an earth shaking thump, a demonic screech filling the air as the aura of exhaustion and decay ate away at its surroundings, the serpent included...

Kori Kahn shot a blast of ice at Damaar's back, freezing soem of it over as he focused on the giant serpent from hell, before he nudged his avian buddy, as if to say "C'mon, let's get going- we don't wanna be around when that thing's done with the serpent".

Ravenova made a crowing noise as if to agree with the dragon. She had her fair share of snakes and cyborgs for today. The bird started to glow as if she had been drowned in magma, however. Something destructive and cataclysmic was coming from her wings. Ravenova made a ginormous hurricane of flame, which started to surround Damaar and Squama, engulfing them in a circle of fire. Even the waters below were somewhat aflame as if someone had poured oil on the surface. She turned to Kori Kahn and squawked, as if to say "Okay, let's get out of here before we get torn to ribbons."

Kori nodded, a beat of his wings carrying off of the ground. Though he was exhausted, his membranes damaged, he shoudl be able to get away from the island. His wounds ached, and he was afraid of what could happen to him if he didn't get somewhere to rest. Kori was soon off, waitign for his buddy to get away from the island as well. He'd made a new friend...

Squama reared up to his full height as he seemed to ignore the fiery twister raging around them, the flames barely doing anything to his scales, but burning up the blood and wounds on him. Both eyes narrowed down at Damaar, and the gargantuan serpent charged the cyborg with a speed that seeemd near impossibly fast for a creature of his size... fast enough for him to catch Damaar off-guard and swing his head into the being's body...

The swing backfired horrifically, one of Damaar's main talons plunging right through the serpent's eye as it slammed into the mechanical monstrosity, half blinding it and coming dangerously close to splitting its skull open, the blade's edge missing the brain case by literal centimetres, only missing it as a result of the monster being dislodged after impact, Damaar flying back, landing on his feet and skidding to a halt, a massive cloud of dust kicked up in his wake, obscuring him from view, a rattling cackle coming from amidst the dust, the abomination fully aware of the mishap the serpent had suffered...

What came next was a scream.

It was a high-pitched, ear-splitting scream that blasted from Squama's mouth as he tried to cope with the horrible pain. His eye had been stabbed through... The pain was near unbearable. The serpent's head thrashed back and forth, blood gushing from the wound mark. No prey was worth loosing an eye over! With his one good eye left, Squama slithered back out into the sea, the water turning a crimson red as it was stained with his blood. This had gone horribly. Not only had he been denied of his prey, but he had also gotten his left eye punctured out. He could only hope that it would heal within a few days... his regenerative powers might not have been on the same level as Bagan, but he could still had them, though they were less than average for a monster like him...

Damaar had no intention to let the serpent escape. as it charged for the water, the mechanical abomination sprinted after it, leaping as he closed in, landing firmly on it's back and beginning to tear away violently at the giant constrictor's hide, as a torrent of greyish, viscous liquid was unleashed all over the snake, sticking wherever it hit, its consistency making it almost irremovable...

Horus's eyes flared as his meditation was complete, a psychic vision flowing through his mind as he saw the kryll hive and the hivemind that commanded it, the Queen and her egg sac, its location beneath the earth's surface, and the entrances that led to it. The Dragon then began moving towards the location, his goal now clear...

Thankfully, the thick and tough hide of the serpent helped lessen the wounds from the cyborg's claws, though that didn't help the underbelly from the injuries it had suffered earlier. The snake, despite the load on its back, slithered into the water, thrasing about constantly, the massive body of Squama heading down deeper and deeper into the sea, the serpent retaliating by whirlnig around and biting the load on its back, the powerful fangs puncturing through the steel of Damaar's body...
