Gaara turned around, the grey sand dropping to the ground in a pile as his own sand returned to the gourd. deciding it was time to leave, seeing as his opponent was gone, he started walking. "Gaara!" came a voice from above a building. "It's over" he replied simply, the voice not replying to him, the owner frightened of the tone. it was calm. but after years of working with him, he knew that there was a very faint change in Gaara's voice. to the average person that change was almost undetectable and not something to worry about. but to someone who knew Gaara well, it was a very obvious sign that the fight's after effects hadn't worn off yet. he was still in a fighting mood. in fact, one wrong move from anyone could get them killed at the moment. Gaara leapt, kicking off and landing on the roof of the building, before walking off...

Dashing from rooftop to rooftop, Jacen looked behind him with a smirked, the fire behind him was because him but it didint matter...sure it was a little fire caused by his lighting and the people he had killed bothered him and looked how they ended up. Ammused with himself and not giving a care if anybody saw him in his street clothes...the young man continued to dash from rooftop..to rooftop.

the two had split up as Gaara near the block his apartment was situated in. as he landed in an alley he heard a series of clanking sounds, something strange bursting from beneath the street. Gaara looked at it, mildly surprised as the rock, tarmac, concrete and dust settled a large Scorpion-like machine appearing out of the hole. two very small red laser-like eyes scanning the area around it for witnesses. the red beams skimmed the entire area, spotting nothing, until it stopped, targetting him. a mechanical grinding sound was heard and it climbed out, it's large metal tail raising up and over it, taking aim. the cork popped out of the gourd and sand swirled out of it as the sound of machine guns were heard, a massive number of bullets being fired at him. in a fraction of a milisecond, the sand was in front of him, forming a barrier that was harder than steel, or even diamond, the bullets bouncing off harmlessly, hitting the ground, flattened. meanwhile a large quantity of sand blasted forward from the barrier, locking on the Scorpion mech's tail and swinging it to the side, sending the machine tumbling towards a building and colliding with a Hummer. a mechanical grind that sounded like simple annoyance was heard as the machine heaved itself from the wrecked heap of scrap metal, blowing apart with a twitch of it's claws. it had already suffered severe damage while in the sewers, some unknown attacker having all but disabled it's legs and damaged the CPU within the exoskeleton. it being a very light, retrieval machine meant it wasn't specialised for heavy combat. bringing out it's most powerful guns, two 50 caliber cannons in it's claws, it straightened, a spark of electricity coming from behind the joint on the claw. the machine opened fire at Gaara, the blast making explosions of sand burst from the shield in the first couple of hits, before they stopped, clanking harmlessly off the hardening barrier as sand began to swirl around the machine as Gaara prepared to eliminate it. this fighting was bound to attract attention and he didn't want the wrong people finding out where he was now...

Jacen continued to dashing along, his lighting fast speed visible...no action, he had no goal, no problems...just like a young kid on the run. Stopping at the edge of a tall skyscarper he looked down, looking at the streets below as the lights flashed through the area...maybe he could have been a wealthly man or something or some athlete, still it didint matter. He just needed to know what to do...his powers meant something as charged a lighting ball in his palm and tossed it around in his hands before he crushed it within his palms. Looking off in some random direction, he narrowed his eyes...sensing for a moment but he didint know what. Instead Jacen just leaped off the tall building before dashing off away..

Jake sat in the alley way, both of his arms limp as the liquid slowly crawled to him. "Oh god..." Jake said, trying to get up. The liquid was no crawling up his leg, sinking into the flesh. "Ohhhhhhhhhhhh... god...." Jake felt absoulutley helpless, he couldn't do anything.

Kevin walked into the alley. He had watched the fight, thinking jake would win. Unfortunately, the brutality of the battle proved otherwise. Kevin approached the boy, his arms hanging strangly at the points the bone fractured. "You ok, buddy?"

Jake groaned, trying to move, the tendril wrapping around his shoulders, the voices in his head, trying to comfort him. "Oooooohhhhh... god." Jake said, trying to block everything out he didn't want anyone to come near him, not right now.

The tendril's raiseed a hissing sound released from there wet liquid. They swiveled threateningly at Kevin's presence. Jake himself wasn't even looking at the boy, his eyes facing the wall opisote of him.

Jake didn't reply, he wasn't responsive, the tenticles continued to flail, ready to end Kevin's life.

Kevin looked at the tenticles. He knew how the symbiote worked. He knew it's weakness, but before making a new enemy he tried to communiacte with it, if it could communicate to anything outside o the host, that is. "Im not here to hurt you, im here to help"

The tenticles squirmed still, they tried to confirm how they didn't want to be messed with. But yet they didn't know if they didn't want to be messed with. They weren't sure, there host was dying and with that they'd die too. As if converseing with eachother the tenticles looked around at eachother, unsure. Then finnally they fell like water dumped out of a bucket, splattering on Jake's body and sinking back into his skin.

Kevin sighed and mumbled "For a bull **** attept, that was pretty good" Kevin walked over to Jake, hoisted him over his shoulders and ran up to a phone booth. He found a phone book and was relieved to see it had a medical section. He looked for the nearest hospitol. When he found it, he ran to it. "Excuse me?" Kevin asked. A nurse walked over to him and asked what happened? Kevin put Jake down, holding him up. "His name is Jake Lewis, I dont know where his father is, but he needs some help. I think his arms are broken"

the grinding sound of metal was heard as the Scorpion Mech charged forward, managing to get a claw through the sand, along with it's red laser 'eyes' before the sand solidified, holding it in place. a large turret came out from between the pincers and fired, the bullet slamming against the sand that protected Gaara, exploding, but not doing much damage. the hole in it soon filled itself and hardened even more as Gaara's will made a part in front of his eyes drop off, revealing the ice blue, emotionless, cold eyes of the red headed man. "Bad move" said Gaara as he closed his outstretched hand, the sand around the Scorpion Mech crushing it, the sand breaking through the armour and destroying it. he turned away, the sand compressing the machine until it was nomore than a small ball of crushed metal, barely larger than a basket ball from the shear strength of the sand's pressure. the sand swirled as it returned to the gourd, Gaara lifting the cork from the ground and sealed it. he then continued going, soon arriving at the apartment. noticing what looked like a dagger in the wall outside his window. it had a switchblade-like design, but had numerous grooves going along the blade. true holes in lines along the blade's center. it looked familiar. he soon reached his room on the top floor and opened the floor, the cork in his hand as he walked in...

Deep in Neeblestrixs under ground, sterotypical base, day and night ment nothing. Neeblestrix spent nearly every hour analiseing the blueprints that The Hornet had accuired. They depicted a large section of the massive sea wall by the coast. The only thing stopping a few thousand million gallons of sea water from sweeping inland and drowning the entire city that lay just 20 miles to the north. The walls were well defended, the government was always wary of attack. That didn't mean the barrier was invincible. He was sure that the Hornet, in conjunction with Scaletail and a good enough distraction, would be able to place a powerful explosive charge at the must vulenrable point. He didn't intend on actually setting off this charge. Murdering millions for no reason wasn't among his list of pastimes. It was simply an insurance venture. Being able to murder millions at his whim was the whole point. It gave him influence and power. Sure, the legions of secretive heroes in other parts of the country would be more than capable of tracking down the bomb and removeing it but the threat of actually working would be enough to get almost anything he wanted. What he wanted, he hadn't figured out yet. He would work on Valentino's death machine later. It wouldn't be too hard. He had developed more complex Ai systems for target practice.

In the mean time, the Hornet had been slowly but surely searching into the depths of the mysterious armory. The one room he couldn't enter. The only entrance being blocked by a nearly permenant EMP field. Its exact inventory was protected, he couldn't examine that, so he searched elsewhere for clues. Hopeing to find some trace of some sortve microchip. He already had ADAM. That freakish tenticle thing had helped him get his hands on that. EVE was still at large though... He didn't know what it would do for him, but Neeblestrix reallly really didnt want him installing the ADAM chip. That had opened up a wealth of information to the Hornet. As well as unlocking some of his systems such as flight and advanced targeting, it had changed his mind. Slowly, but certainly noticeable. For one, had started looking at things from a different perspective rather than just a bunch of 0s and 1s.

"I see you're jumpy today, Gaara" said a voice from within the room to his right, the door open slightly. Gaara walked in and spotted the owner of the voice. a man in black clothes. black camo-trousers, a tight black t-shirt and a small backpack. "What do you want, Ed?" said Gaara irritably. "Nothin' much. just stopped in to see whether you'd found 'Fat' Freddy Cardo. seeing as i-" he started before being pinned to the wall by Gaara, unaided by sand, this time. "Why don't you get off your skinny black *** and search for him yourself? i have my own work to do" he said. Ed quickly brought his hands up to the hand on his neck and pulled the fingers off, though with great difficulty, loosening the grip enough to get free. "Well, for one, that lard *** has so many guards around him it's impossible to get at him unless you're prepared. so i don't have a chance of getting to him even if i stumble across him by mistake. people are too afraid of him to tell me, and the only guy who might know is so powerful he'd have me dead before i even knew HE knew i was lookin' for 'im!" said the man as he drew a dagger from his pocket, a diamond studded, Ivory grip flashing with almost as much of a shine as the Chrome-Steel blade itself, as he flipped the blade between his fingers. "Secondly, I already have a price on my head by the Mafia. hell, i could be hit right now!" he said as he faked a gesture by bringing his dagger to his neck, as if slitting his own throat. "And lastly, if i accidentally whack some guy YOU'RE after, i'm as good as dead anyway!" he finally said, trying to get Gaara to do this for him. "Unless i need him to get to what I want, i'm not looking for him. find someone else. get some practice using all those knives and make use of them" said the red headed man as he looked at Ed. at that moment, with a slight flash, a blade zipped past Gaara's face, 2 feet away, nailing a painting of several people in a scene of a battle, the blade hitting the center character in the eye, the blade sinking in about 2 inches, having penetrated the somewhat brittle apartment wall. "I got practice. just not the numbers" said Ed, now talking seriously and somewhat irritated. "With enough shots like that, you don't need numbers" said Gaara, not even flinching, his expression still as blank as it had been all day. Ed decided it was best to leave for now. Gaara wasn't in a negotiating mood, and arguing with him after the trail of destruction he'd caused out of annoyance all day was just asking for trouble. "Fine...but if i kill someone you want, don't say i didn't warn ya". Ed walked off to the window, and leapt out. Gaara didn't bother worrying. Ed wasn't as normal as he seemed. he wasn't weak either. he'd be fine...

Deathstroke landed on Nebbletrix's video store. He chuckled and vibrated through it, landing on the tiled floor. He called out in a disguised, gruff voice "Hey Nebby, I gots to talk to ya!"

A metal hand ripped the bathroom door open, a red laser beam landing onto the humans forehead. The hornets faceplate slid to the sides and he growled "Were closed" With a loud scrape, his arm blade slid down, locking into place with its tip touching the boys clothes. his other arm was drawn back with the wrist laser exposed, its pointer aiming inbewteen deathstrokes eyes.
