The duplicate glanced around and replied "Your minds trying to make sense of what the mist is doing to you..." The duplicate flickered, going transparent for a moment... its existence becomeing un nesscessary

"Go find if that dragon is nearby," order Valroz. "If he's not, I want you to scout the surrounding area until he is found, and report back to me."

Raven took flight, aghast and growled "Scouting? How boring... I mean, when i can do this" As he said it, an imp near valorz punched another imp in the head, knocking it over. It poped out of the trance, looking around, confused. Raven did another loop and crowed "And when I can do THIS!" in mid air, he suddenly flashed with golden light, his body morphing and his feathers retracting into scales. Within 2 seconds there was Tranquilis, circleing above Valorz. Raven crowed in a feminien Dragonian voice "and you want me to scout! there are loads of demons who can do that!" The dragon did one more loop and then shrunk back into the pure black raven, hovering to a stop just out of Valorz's reach...

Valroz closed his eyes and rubbed his temples in irritation. He growled quietly, "Why are you even in my army?" He pulled out his bow and notched an arrow pointing it at Raven. "Get to scouting! The sooner we find that dragon, the better! And then you can do whatever you want, got it?"

Raven laughed, flipping around. A loud pop filled the air and Valorz's arrow turned into a carrot. The shapeshifter circled higher, flying into the distance and searching for Garroth... it was annoying that Valorz' asigned him such menial tasks. Shapeshifters were ment for the danger and excitement of infiltrateing the enemy... Not some boring scout mission which any airbourne demon could attend to...

Garroth was still confused by the form in front of him but still, it wasn't as if it was attacking him at the moment. He then thought of what to say next. "Is this place the home to the Purple Dragons? And are they watching me right now?"

The duplicate nodded and growled "I saw one while I was walking around, tried to speak with him but he couldn't hear me... Probably due that I dont really exist"...

Raven was glideing over the golden dragons realem, searching for their home. He intended on takeing his scouting mission a little further than perscribed....

Garroth was then in full alert. He guessed that the Purple Dragons were still deciding whether he was an enemy or not. He then turned to the duplicate. "In that case, I have a message for the Purple Dragons. I am well aware that they can read minds and that they are free to do so as I have nothing to hide from them. Also, I am not here as an enemy, but as a friend who wishes nothing more than to seek hospitality and shelter as I am currently pursued by the Demonic Empire. My name is Garroth, I am a Royal from the Green Dragonflight. My message is this: I know that the emperors have been notified by Rutus of the map that the demon lord Belliar. That map was once in my own possession and once belonged to my father, Alairoth. This very same map was what lead me to the Outlands. I went there with my friend Tranquillus out of pure curiosity. However, many years ago my dragonflight was invaded by the Demonic Empire which was lead by one of their best commanders, Valroz. However, he retreated when my dragonflight eradicated his imp army. Before this, me and my squad of Green Dragons were busy eradicating an encampment of Orcs on the edge of our territory when Valroz arrived and began to give chase, even after we had destroyed the encampment. That is how Valroz learned of our main home in the territory. Then years later I went to the Outlands and just as soon as we had met with Scarfradus, the Sky Dragon, our meeting was short-lived as the demon lord Belliar himself arrived at the Outlands with Valroz making an assault on the castle that was Scarfradus's main base. Scarfradus fought against Belliar valiantly but succumbed to Belliars' attacks very quickly and so he died very quickly. Belliar chased me and Tranquillus as we fled but it was no luck. We were captured Belliar took the map from me and Valroz took me to their demonic homeworld and Tranquillus and I were tortured, Belliar also turned the Outlands into a barren wasteland. However, we were rescued by Chronos who restored our mana after we were drained of it by Belliar. The two of us then made our escape and in doing so, destroyed the portal that we escaped through and sealed it off forever. I then went to my emperor to inform him of these events but he was furious with this and so he has made me an outcast forcing me to leave the realm. I then was allowed to stay in the Gold Dragon Realm for a while until Valroz arrived. Then my father contacted me, tension is rising in my homelands and already I had to notify my father to call off a planned rebellion on Rutus. Chronos then requested that I leave and head for another dragonflight territory as Valroz is going to continously hunt me to the bitter end. He is unaware of the fact that I have left the Gold Dragon's territory and I have flown all the way to the mountains here. So yes, the demonic army is continually chasing me, and Valroz won't stop until I am dead or captured. I ask of you as if I was one of your own kin that I stay here? I will stay out of whatever business you have. I could proove to be worthy if there is anything that requires assitance, I will gladly comply. Luckily, Valroz is a long way off and it could be a while until he discovers I am gone and until then, he may disband his mission. But please, may I stay?" Asked Garroth. He had explained as much as he could, there was still other things he knew but there was a lot said. He waited...

The duplicates eyes seemed to glaze over and he snaped back into focus. He growled "Whoaaa.. am I this boring? And what the hell are you telling me for? I'm you, dummy. A figment of your imagination. I think its some defensive magic in this mist..."

A small regular purple dragon leapt upwards onto the top of the ditch, looking towards a green dragon as it talked to itself about something to do with demons and such. The dragon watched... chooseing to just observe it for now but makeing no effeort to hide his presence...

"Because I am sure the Purple Dragons will hear me through you. You are the mist, the defenses and a sentry to them. And a sentry always informs his/her allies of someone entering that isn't one of their own..." Replied Garroth in a wise tone as he continued to clamber down until he reached the foot of the mountain and stopped on the main ground. He looked in front and noticed a purple dragon out in the open. Garroth had never seen one before and so this interested him...

The duplicate padded along side Garroth growling "I already told you, im you." The purple dragon was stareing at the much larger royal dragon with a look of confusion. It hissed slowly "Why..... are you talking to yourself?" Its eyes widened as it realised what was going it. It growled "Ohhhhh wait, sorry" It held up its palm, the dragons claws glowing with bright pinkish light for a moment. The duplicates eyes widened and it stammered "Whoa whoa whoa!! dont let it do-aRGHHH" The duplicate suddenly shrunk into nothing, the purple dragon having simply countered the effects of the mist on Garroth and bringing his brain to the realisation that the duplicate wasn't real. The dragon hissed "Better?"

Garroth, knowing the duplicate wasn't real already, it had been obvious that it was just a manifestation formed in his mind but hadn't fooled him. He at least was glad to have it gone and walked toward the Purple Dragon who appeared to be a male. "Yes, better thank you. I must admit I am impressed, even an army could be eradicated easily by the mist." Said Garroth...

The purple dragon chuckled and hissed "Noooo I strongly doubt it... It really only affects those foolish enough to listen and talk with it. but it manifests its self in different symtons some times.... Though Halucinations are the most common... what were you talking to it about? I could hear you from down here going on about something to do with demons for an age...."

Garroth sighed. It seemed like he had just explained his whole story to a bloody rock. But still he did not want to show too much ignorance. He then turned to the Purple Dragon and then explained everything all over again, everything exactly as he had told the hallucination (the post I wrote about Garroth's message). After a while he finished talking...

The dragon nodded slowly, takeing in all that was said... When the Green dragon was finished he growled "I see... well your in luck! Chances are Morian already knows your here but even disregarding that she would let you stay anyway. C'mon and follow me, I'll show you were she is... I was out here with my sister searching for some angry revenge obsessed hunter. Its mainly just a test and lesson but its better than exercises..." He took flight, hovering slowly, his wings beating calmly. He had already told his sister pretty much everything via telepathy.

The was a small crack of rocks as the sinister cloaked figure fell onto some loose rocks, looking up the mountain. The figure smirked, a blue rune glowing on his forehead momentarily... He chuckled darkly and walked foreward, his body suddenly morphing, his clothes flailing about and changeing texture, leaving a pure black large raven in the mans place. The bird flew upwards, cawing towards the other birds nearby...

Garroth then followed behind the purple dragon as he spread his wings and flew up. He was at least feeling welcomed so far but he knew it was better not to get his hopes up just yet. It seemed he now knew the empress, Morian. But he had yet to know her personality and knew to never underestimate emperors...

Valroz paced back and forth impatiently. "Where is that damn scout of mine?" he growled.

Meanwhile, Malebolgia had been sent out to check the borders of the camp for any signs of infiltration. Valroz was becoming a bit paranoid, being this close to Golden Dragon territory, so he had sent his second-in-command to check for any "undesirables."
