"Oh please." Frank said, shaking his head as he replaced the belt of ammunition on the Saw. He turned, firing down the hall, ignoring the disturbing undead, knowing it was just an illusion, nothing more. He was attempting to hit the dragon at the end of the hall, not knowing exactly where it was, but hoped he got a few shots in...

the bodies jerked as the bullets went through them, but didn't slow. the whispering began to get mind numbingly loud as they approached, atleast 30 of them coming in from both sides of the hallway, their glowing white eyes piercing the dark, the Wyvern looking through their eyes, possessing their corpses. the whispers began to spell out names, the names of the group in particular. "FRa-" one would start as another whisper would continue "-Ra-" and a third "-ANk", the collection of whispers coming forth from the bloody froth-filled mouthes of the white eyed former humans as other voices spelled out Rico, Brock, and others in the group, not limited to those with Frank at the time...

"Well you know me, but I don't know you..." Frank said, laughing as he fired at the corpses, the stream of bullets piercing every part of their bodies. Frank sighed, aiming the Saw down, firing a stream of bullets at the corpse's legs, hacking the legs apart as they fell to the ground. Frank turned, doing the same to the undead coming from the other direction, gesturing to the people peering through the window to come out. Rico pulled a grenade from his belt, Frank nodding in understanding. Turning, Frank fired a stream of bullets at the corpses from the other side, running forward as he smacked one of them with the edge of his gun, knocking the cold body down, passing through to the other side. Rico had thrown the grenade by now, which exploded amongst the horde of corpses, obliterating the ones in the center, while others were blown into many pieces, none remaining on that side of the hallway. The group stormed out, firing their weapons at the remaining corpses...

Replacing the belt once more, Frank turned back to the corridor he had seen the dragon the first time, walking around with his arms up. "While my buddies deal with your little freak show, why don't me and you have a little chat?" Frank said, smirking.

the gun was suddenly yanked from the man's hands and pinned to the ground as the Wyvern appeared, staring him in the face, a low grunt of amusement coming from him. "I don't often come across humans so ready to shoot things to pieces...the last ones i used that little tactic on lasted 5 days in my previous home before killing themselves because they couldn't take it anymore" snarled the Wyvern, it's two bony fangs glinting slightly in the weak lighting of the room, it's teeth showing in the jaw behind the fanged 'beak' of the creature, it's glowing yellow eyes boring into those of the human, the thin pupils watching his every move. "Who are you part of? DDASF? or perhaps the overly extravegant GDEA?"...

"Not part of any damn organization. My group came here for food, you know, the stuff we need to survive?" Frank said, folding his arms. "I knew one of your kind was hiding in this place...Dark, damp, filled with death...Perfect for you, eh?" Frank said, smirking.

"It's not too dark to attract curious humans, and not too bright that it would ruin the fun in chasing them around the complex" hissed the creature. "As for supplies...as much as i would like to say 'Why don't you go to the human-occupied villages', that would just take another group of people out of my little supply of amusements" the Wyvern added, it's tongue running over it's teeth, cleaning the blood off it from a recently killed Dragon. another group of 'zombies' collected in the background and went towards the humans as the Wyvern grunted. "A shame you aren't as fearful as some of my victims" he growled, as the entire facility seemed to change, from a relatively calm, serene facility to a horrid room with walls completely covered in blood, the pained shreiks of people running from unknown attackers filling it, the radio at Frank's side squeeling with a deafening amount of static, as the Wyvern seemingly lunged forward, about to slam it's jaws shut on Frank as everything suddenly returned to the way it was, the room it's calm, quiet, serene self again, the whispers gone, the corpses on the ground and inactive, the Wyvern standing in front of Frank, having not moved since before the mental vision struck him...

"You have a very active imagination..." Frank said, shaking his head. "Nothing you can do will ever surprise me. I have dealt with so many of your kind, I know every trick in the book." he said, shaking his head once more, the only thing effecting him being the radio, which made his ears ring painfully. Another explosion sounded from behind him, Frank glancing over his shoulder, wondering what was happening with the zombies now gone. "You have to excuse my companions. They don't mean to blow apart your home...Its just we kind've have to leave, live our lives, that stuff." he said, taking a step back, indicating that he was about to leave...

the Wyvern grunted. "To my knowledge, there's a good deal more supplies here...perhaps you could advise an unwanted competitor this way? I'm in constant need for some...entertainment..." he growled...

"As tempting as that offer is, I'm afraid I have no enemies yet...We don't encounter many of our kind in our travels..." Frank said, thinking over the situation again. Maybe this COULD be a good deal...If, by some chance, that one of their own kind was stupid enough to try and harm them, he could send them in the direction of this place, and into the clutches of this dragon...A horrible fate, but the only people Frank would consider enemies, would be definitely worthy of such a fate...

"Unfortunate though your words may be, your thoughts are reassuring" growled the Wyvern with a smirk, lifting it's taloned forearm off the machinegun and knocking it forward. "Perhaps we'll meet again in the future....Frank. the name's Spectre, by the way...in case you decide to go to a less formal title than 'Wyvern' or 'Dragon' sometime in the future" snarled Spectre as he seemed to distort slightly before returning to a solid form...

"Aye, I'll send any unfortunate a**holes your way. Just know that if they come from my recommendation, give them hell, I'm sure they'll deserve it." Frank said, smirking, taking the gun. Nodding to the dragon, he walked off toward the group, surprised by the fact he now had an ally that was a dragon...well, the dragons they met were savage and ruthless, only wanting to kill any human they saw. This one was...different. Intelligent. Shaking his head, Frank casually walked through a hole in the wall, which was, obviously, made by his companions. Quickly meeting up with his group, who immediately pointed their guns at him, but relaxed when they actually saw him. "Its a dead end, Frank. We have no way out." Rico said, frowning. "Like hell. This is our second home now! Turns out the owner of this place is actually a fairly nice gentlemen...dragon...Whatever..." Frank explained, grinning. The group just stared at him, confused. "...Really? We can leave? Just like that?" Rico questioned, smiling at the relief. "Leave? We can take anything we want from the base! He doesn't eat the things we do. I'll radio the choppers so we can refuel...By the way, if anyone pisses us off, Spectre will gladly take them off our hands..." Frank explained, grinning as he slapped Rico on the back. "I like this dragon more by the second." Rico said, smiling.

The group relaxed, still uneasy, but were comforted by Frank's attitude. Soon they moved out of the building, telling the choppers in the air the good news...

The golden Dragon stalked through the corridors with the same bored gate as he had done the past few years. But he never got tired of looking at the same images on the walls. He ran a large claw over the heiroglyphs. The images of a beautiful girl and an ibis. He smiled slightly and dropped his claw. "Amazing how much time passes when you're sleeping," he mused and walked on...

"LT Commander, lucky *******..you survived" The base commander looked at John in the eye as the tired US Pilot smirked slightly. The planes were being refueled and rearmed and the airfield was clear for jets to land or take off. Being personally confronted by the commander was something he was used too.

"I did my job..Two confirmed kills. It seems that as long as we avoid using vocal communication, were fine. Anything from the others?" John asked, curious to see if there was any news from the front lines about recent attacks and such. The jets were often repaired and modified under John's orders but this was usually reserved for units under John's control.

"Nothing..but you and your men did a good job. Be ready though. As far as Im concerned, we have patrols all over..this base is fitted with heavy defenses but it doesnt mean were safe" The base commander simply responded, finally regaining his composure. Before, he was starting to lose it in fear that this base would get destroyed but with the safe return of most of the american pilots who decided to see what was going.

John nodded and glanced towards several american pilots who were talking together in a little group as they nodded to their LT Commander. While it was a success..John then remembered he did lose several men and fighters on the patrol mission.

Frank and his group had since taken to the air, refueled and resupplied, ready to move on. The next base, for all they knew, could be miles upon miles away, so they had to get moving. They actually hoped to encounter more dragons, wanting to first destroy their kind for what they did, and to also cure the bored of flying for so long. The group of choppers moved along, a few of them scouting around the area for any sign of the winged beasts, or any remaining humans...

While everyone calmly searched through files, records or even equipment crates, time seemed to fly foreward. In no time at all, they had spent almost an hour and a half searching the room. Thats when Jacob got the radio call. "[iJJacob! This is Deven![/i]" The soilder sounded distressed and he could hear both gunfire and cackleing roars in the background. To add to the problem, Deven wasn't Alpha teams squad leader.... The soilder continued "We've got 3 casualties, ambushed by these little f***ers! They are all over the place! We are on the 2nd floor of the tower, the defence system is harder to shut down than we thought. Arnold is in the back trying to overide some automatic flak gun. We don't know what it does... Send Back up if you can!"

Jacob responded, slightly paniced "What?! But we made a deal with them! There isn't even that much of them!" Deven shouted something incomprehensible back, clearly too preoccupied with fighting to talk, leaving Jacob with static....

A low rumbleing chuckle came from Obsidion, the beomoth cracking open one dark eyelid and hissing "You actually trusted] a goblin dragon?" It chuckled some more, by Jacob didnt care. He shouldered his rifle and shouted "Everyone! File in, we got hostiles lets go lets go!" At that, he jogged towards the door, his team filing in behind him....

"We've established radar posts here..here..here and here. We've had constant patrols, no signs of dragons or any other humans here. The British have moved further inland towards some facility and our the navy forces back in the water still have forces capable of launching fighters. The base here is ready..its heavily armed and everything has just been estbalished. So, I suggest we use what we have and figure our something" The man looked around, tall and strong. Several important military leaders were here in the base..commanders, soldiers..pilots.

"We can not in advance our ground troops if we cant establish air dominance" A tank captain stated, he knew what types of death can easily occur from failure.

"We do not know what were fighting against..we need something that can detect whatever keeps attacking us. We cannot secure Ireland like this..until then. We have to wait for the Brits to get back to see what they got..only then perhaps we can make a move" John stated, the LT Commander looking at all of them as there was odd silence..

As the military group took place from the inside of the tent..outside, troopers were moving about..tanks, choppers, anti air turrets and missles..jets, the americans were busy trying to make sure they would be ready for an attack.

the blazing wings of the Fire Breather lit the smoke-filled sky with their intensity, a booming roar echoing for miles all around the mountain range. below, one of the makeshift camps of a group of travellers heading for London, incinerated so that it couldn't be used by anyone following them. the group had reached London a day ago, but it seemed a few little trails of supply-stocked Camps were set up to various places in the country, for travellers to follow towards the main settlement in the City of London. he had been systematically destroying them in an attempt to lure Ember's killer out. it was the only thing he lived for. and in the world as it was now, it wasn't worth living in. he planned to return to hibernation after he had killed the murderer, to awaken another day, at another time and place, to a hopefully better world...hopefully one where Dragons would be reacted to with a sense of mystery, rather than seen as a horror to be eliminated immediately. it was too late to change the minds of those around in this age. all the ones capable of influencing anything, hated Dragons too much and were to heavily protected for a Dragon to speak to...so the only option for most Dragons was to try and survive, and destroy anything that was sent to attack them, or retreat. he wouldn't run from an opponent. it was in his blood to stand his ground, and, as a result, they stole everything worth living from him. first, his peace, then his young, and now, his mate...

Amon stood as still as a statue as the humans filed into the pyramid. He watched with intent interest as a human snapped a picture here, touched a hieroglyph there (when they weren't supposed to). But that was usually the children, the ones that really interested him. One of them had the bravery to walk up to him and point his finger at him. "Mommy, look a dragon!" the young boy said pulling at his mother's hand. "Oh, it is, isn't it," the mother said. The young boy was pulled along by his mother, but he repeatedly looked over his shoulder to look at him. Amon bit back a smile and returned his gaze to the front of him. Once a young girl was curious and brave enough to stroke his nose. He loved the feel of someone petting him, especially if it was a girl. Suddenly the mother snapped at her and nearly toppled him to the ground. He resisted the urge to shake his head, in this era, these humans despised and feared dragons, when some were once healers and scholars and they helped humans with such grace and generosity. Time changes and that also means that people must change, he thought and sighed quietly, going back to his job as a tomb ornament...

"Oi, this is taking longer then expected..you think he's alive?" The pilot looked towards the LT Commander as he was working on his fighter jet. Advanced missles and stealth capabilities no doubt placed this fighter on its own generation.

"Of course..but its not like we can do anything..were the airforce" John stated. He then climbed the ladder next to him as he looked into the cockpit, looking at the systems.

"Ya think maybe..McKnight can do something about it? you know..escort" The Amercan said, still bothering John. "It sounds like sucide..large ammount of us, we cant communicate vocally..the lack of communication amoung us can result in brutal casualties...thats something Im intending on avoiding" John replied. The base was poweful enough to withstand attack..or so the Americans thought. From anti air defenses with numerous fighter jets, ready to scramble and radar posts to detect incoming threats..things should in their favor but for now..they were stuck..

Once the humans left, Amon flexed every muscle to get the stiffness out. He sighed and grew just enough to fit through the corridors, but just small enough to not strain on the doorways. He would usually do his ritual at this time... He walked to the pharoah's tomb and bowed before his sarcoffigus. "O my pharoah, King of the Nile, your gaurdian is protecting you," he said and rose. The ank around his neck gleamed and he took it as a sign that his pharoah had heard him and was pleased. With that he bowed low again and went about his duties of patrolling the corridors.
