Rick followed the rest of the Mercs, making as little noise as he could. He silently cursed the bad luck that they were now having. First they had been ambushed by "sue" as Dodgson had called the T-rex, now the gunshot sound had, according to Dodgson, no doubt been heard by the large creature. Rick didn't dare try to think of how things could get any worse, focusing only on not being detected by the massive carnivore...

Jacob was already on the move by the time David signalled him, giving him a nod as he went. the thundering of footsteps not too far away was a practical harbinger of death, and he had no intention of waiting around for it...

With that, David slipped out from the shadows, moving through the vegetation around him. He was careful not to make too much noise as he went so he wouldnt alert any creature to his pressence. Taking note of the approaching footfalls, the mercenary started to take an indirect route towards where he heard the gunshot, making sure to keep out of the Tyrannosaur's way but still in range to observe the situation.

Sue was mostly unaware of the rest of the humans, her senses all focused on the man hiding in the tree above her as she arrived in the area. The Rex lifted her heavy head, looking up at the merc curiously, and hungrily. She growled, opening her massive jaws and snapping them shut at the merc, trying to spook him...

The male raptor licked the wound on his shoulder. It was short but deep. His sisters, the two females who were with him, paced and made anxious crooning sounds. He was angry - he was hurt, and hadn't even seen what the two-legged had used to do it. At least they had something to report now...the two-leggeds were not defenseless after all. It was time to report back to the pack. When night fell, they would be back to find out just how many of these creatures there were. Too many of them in their territory could be considered an invasion of pack boundaries, and the alphas would be inclined to scope out the situation.

Hiero had tried to remain as still as possible to remain undetected, when the rex found him he alomst stopped breathing. Of coarse when the rex snapped it jaws in a resounding *CRRRUUNSHHH* sound Hiero wipped out a small tear gas bomb from his backpack. He took one large breath of air pulled the wire connecting the mechinism with the safety and threw it at the rex's head before jumping off of his branch and running right of the rex towards thicker cover also dropping a single smoke grenade at his feet.

The grenade did nothing to stop Sue, falling to the ground before releasing the gas. Being so tall, the gas didn't reach the Rex's head, and she bellowed angrily as Riley jumped, snapping as he fell, jaws shutting inches from his body. She charged after him, her thundering footsteps scattering the smoke cloud as she charged through, smashing aside saplings and snapping higher branches as she pursued the human through the forest...

Barnes could hear the commotion, but he ignored it. The sounds weren't getting louder, which meant that the Rex wasn't presenting a immediate threat. Still, he couldn't help but pick up the pace...

Hiero thought about how he could lose the monster and remembered the M240 on the Osprey, maybe it was intact and he could use it against it .50 cal has to do something against this thing as he doubted the Galil or Masterkey would do very much. He immedietly changed coarse for the wreck. He hoped that luck, the God of fortune or some all powerful entity was helping him and would continue to.

Sue had to slow down at the abrupt turn, being too bulky to turn on a dime, but she quickly sped back as she reoriented herself, bellowing again to try and at least stun the fleeing human...

Hearing the roar of the Rex, Rick noticed Barnes increasing his speed slightly and did the same, noting that the roar had also sounded like it wasn't getting closer. That was good for the group, but he could only hope that the Rex would keep going further away from them and that what luck they seemed to be having at not having been found by the creature again would last...

David felt a powerful tremor and a dull thud as the Rex literally stomped by him past him. He had taken refuge in the thick brush of the undergrowth, his body low to the ground as he was approaching the scene. When Hiero made his dash for the Osprey, he ended up leading the Tyrannosaur in the direction David and Jacob were heading away from. The mercenary saw the giant foot of the T-rex come crashing into the ground, talons sinking into the dirt before lifting off again in the beast's massive stride. The sound of impact was one of the loudest sounds he heard, only vehicle crashes and explosions being louder. David's head poked up from the vegetation and he caught sight of the creature's muscular tail trailing over head. He looked down to the ground, seeing the deep foot print that was mere feet away from where he was. "...****..." was all he could manage to say.

Riley chased after the group and didn't dare to look back, knowing something was obviously going on as the ground shook again and caused the merc to stumble a couple of times...

Maxwell moved at decent pace, whispering to Barnes, "Nope. I've only got a combat knife." The merc was glad the sounds of that rex were not close, but nonetheless hoped no one else ended up in that beast's stomach....

Sue suddenly stopped her pursuit as a new sound echoed over the trees. Another roar from a large predator, a fair distance away, and definitely not one from another Rex. With a rumbling growl at the newest intruder on her territory, she turned away from the fleeing human. She had far larger threats to cull first...

Dodgson perked up at the new roar. "That sounded like an Allosaurus, if I'm not mistaken. Too far away to be a threat right now, but I suggest we move quickly, before we end up in the middle of a fight we don't want to be a part of..." Barnes nodded. "Good idea. Let's pick up the pace, people!"

Riley seemed to break into a run, keeping as close to the group as possible. "Damn! This island is swarming with those beasts and Dodgson probably won't tell us everything about what's going on!" the merc thought as he dashed towards the Osprey with the others...

Barnes heard a crashing noise through the undergrowth and immediately raised his shotgun. "Who's there?! Show yourself!" As far as he knew, it could have been another dinosaur, but he was willing to risk it, just in case it was one of the missing mercs...

Rick, hearing the crashing noises as well, also raised his firearm. He took small comfort in the fact that the roar of the Allosaurs, as Dodgson had called the owner of the new sound, was further away from where they were, but pushed this aside as he readied himself to fire if the creature moving through the undergrowth nearby was a dinosaur...

The three raptors and their pack had left the area, hearing the roars of bigger predators. They needed to feed and get to safety, and hope that the Rex and Allosaurs had finished off their quarrel by the time they began tracking the two-leggeds down again.

Hiero was litterally about to start shouting litanies for some god to save him when the giant creature strode off, away from him. "HAHAHAHA, PRAISE WHATEVER GOD HAS SAVED ME, AHAHAHAHAHA," he shouted into the air as he contiued to run towards the crash hoping someone was there, he diddn't want to end up alone and as an easy meal for that thing if it ever came back.
