James smiled. the crew were a concluding lot, and he suspected that they were jumping to conclusions again. still, they may be right...

James watched the monkey running around on deck, doing all manner of mischief with the crew. it had clibed up one crew member's shirt and crawled around until he swung his arms up, hitting 2 crew members, then ran out his right arm sleeve just in time ro avoid being hit by the 2 crew members. it ran to another crew member's rum and did something really nasty in it, then ran off, shooting in an unknown direction. James went to his guitar and started to play an old spanish song he'd learned when he was young. his uncle was a friend of a spaniard who gave him the guitar. the spaniard tought him how to play the guitar and the old spanish song. he also had a hand in James' dancing skill as well...

James stopped playing for a while, got hold of a mug, made sure it was absolutely clean, took it to his cabin to refill it, when he came across a huge mess. one of the chocolate powder bags had been attacked. he already knew who attacked it. he drew his pistol and ran out the door, then said "where's that monkey!?". the crew pointed at a hole in the corner of the deck, where the monkey had run into. when he got close to it, the monkey jumped out and started running. James raised the pistol and chased it round the deck, shooting at it. the result made the entire crew laugh, along with Adeline, Yuke and the first mates...

The monkey ran up to Adeline's shoulders. She shook her head and set the monkey down gently, where it ran as fast as it could. She sighed. "James, is it really necessary to shoot him? I mean....look at him." The monkey was long gone by now. It below deck. "He's scared of you by now."

james yelled "he scoffed a whole bag's worth of my bloody chocolate!!!"
then continued chasing it down the decks, where he fell on his face. he gave up and returned to the top deck. everyone was still having a good time. James just sighed in defeat. he looked at Yuke, who was pouring a seemingly endless stream of rum into his mouth, and Rafael who'd incredibly managed to tie up some of the men in their own legs and rolled them down the deck for bothering him [it actually happened. a friend of my dad's can actually do that to people! ]...

Adeline just sighed and watched the men. It seemed like they were really drunk. Everything was going crazy. She laughed when Rafael was rolling men on the deck and shook her head. "Men...." she said quietly. She was done with drinking rum for now. One man grabbed her by the arm again and danced drunkenly with her. She shook her head in disgust and walked away from him. The rum was acting strong on some of the men. Some even threw cat calls at her. She ignored them and went beside Yuke, who was drinking away. "Um....don't you think you had enough."

He simply shook his head. "You can never have enough rum!", he shouted and continued drinking.

James, although he enjoyed rum, didn't want to get drunk. if an enemy ship came up, the'd be history and the enemy would just get a mighty good laugh. James heard cat calls and several other things that told him it was time to end it, before the ships became one massive tavern. he shot a single shot into the air, then yelled "Alright men! youve had your fun! you need to be awake early and you need to sleep the rum off. time to end the party!". he reloaded his pistol and noticed some of the men weren't listening. Rafael was still completely clear headed. James yelled "Men! if you don't end this party in 5 seconds, you'll soon be sharing a part of Nine, Tails' Life! 50 lashes with the Cat o' Nine Tails and 2 weeks in the brig! get moving or i might just put a bullet through you and be done with it!". everyone stopped now, fear sinking into their rum filled heads. they soon cleared up, got onto their respective ships and into their hammocks. they didn't want what had happened earlier that day...

Before going to bed, Adeline made sure that her crew were in their hammocks. Then, she walked over to her cabin to get changed. Weariness was taking over her body. She released a yawn and changed into her gown. She put her hair up before retreating to her bed. Tommorow they would be continuing to go after Will. Again, she yawned and turned to face the ceiling. Slowly, her eyes started to close. She was slowly drifting into the dream world.

She woke up the next morning at five thirty in the morning. She stretched and changed into her regular clothes. She wore navy breeches with a dark colored shirt to match. She walked out of her cabin and down to the quarters of the crew. "On your feet! We have work to do!"

Some of her men were cranky. She sighed and yelled out again. "I'll bring the monkey in to bother ya! And you don't want that now do you?" They were on their feet. Adeline smirked and walked out of the cabin on to the deck. Her crew were on the deck in no time. They were still sleepy eyed, but they were there. Adeline looked each of them over and told them about the duties for today. "Got it? Now back to work! Move, move, move! Don't think I forgot about those cat calls!" She gave them a stern look. They went to their duties as quickly as possible.

Yuke seemed to be up at this time too, also ordering his men to get working. His voice was loud and clear.

James, who'd made sure he didn't drink too much the previous night, woke up early and comfortable. he was back to his cheery self again. he went to pour himself a glass of water, gulped it down and went below deck. "get out o' yer 'ammocks you lazy dogs! there's work to be done and you'r the ones that're gonna do i'! get moving!!!". immediately, the crew were packing the hammocks up into the ceiling nets. 2day was the last day that Nine Tails would be punished. tommorow, he'd be released. James climbed up to the main deck to find a crew member having an argument with Rafael. Rafael picked the man up, wrapped him up in his own legs, and rolled him across the deck to the captain's feet. James drew his pistol and pointed it at the man's face. the man stood up, his face so white you could mistaken them for brand new sails. James asked "what was going on here?". the crew member said "nothing sir!". James said "then why were you yelling at Rafael, and made him roll you into a human cannonball down the deck to my feet?". the man said "he was threatening me!". James said "threatening you? and you start an argument over that? no one can hurt anyone while i'm in charge. among you are some spies so well trained, you'd think they were regular pirates. if anything goes on here, i'll know! no one is hurting anyone on this ship, so calm down and get back to work!". he holstered his gun and went to the ship's wheel, looking at the compass. they were still heading the right way. James moved near the bow of the ship, and felt the spray of the sea on his face. it was the thing he enjoyed more than anything else on earth. the freedom of the sea...

"Good job so far, men!", called out Adeline with a smile on her face. They were working hard, this time. She hummed 'A Pirates Life for Me' while she was looking ahead at the sea. Allen came by her side and smirked.

"You must be happy about something," he stated.

Adeline rolled her eyes. "It's just a nice day to go sailing, that's all. I mean it." She gave him an assuring smile. "I mean, look at it out here. Nice winds, clear sky, sunny. Don't you thinking so?"

He nodded. "Yeah. Well, I'll leave you alone then, Captain."

She nodded and stared out to the sea. She continued humming the tune. Her eyes were closed. There was still a smile on her face. But something broke her thoughts. A shout. It was joyous shout.

"Another ship! James spotted another ship! Sailing away from us!"

Adeline ran to the edge and shouted to James. "Is it him? Did we finally catch up?"

James watched Yuke in a really bad mood, and thought "must've been the rum...".

he could see a sailing ship on the horizon. he used his spyglass and saw the plaque on the back. it said "warrior". James hoped it was Will. he set full sail, soon pulling away from the squadron. he yelled "i'm going to see if it's will!" and kept going.

The Black Pearl quickly gained on the Warrior, and James had a look through his spyglass. Will was nowhere in sight. he saw a man that looked like a Jamaikan. he ran off, and the ship's guns came out, and cargo was dumped overboard. soon, the Black Pearl was nearly next to it, and still Will was nowhere to be found. the Jamaikan came onto the deck and said "fire!". a single gun fired at the ship. they missed. James yelled run out the guns!!!". in seconds, all the guns where out and the pearl moved forward. the enemy fired several times, but only a couple managed to hit. the Spanish shipyard did a good job. the shots bounced off. The Warrior turned to show it's broadside, and James turned the opposite direction. they both fired. several shots went itno both ships, some shot even collided with shot from the other ship, sending them flying in andom directions. soon, the entire squadron was closing in, with the Barbarian and red Dawn leading, and the Dauntless behind...

James walked up to the captain and asked "what is it that you want to suggest? what right do you have to invoke the right of Parley?"

the captain said "i'll give you gold. lots of gold! you can have crew, cargo, anything! just don't sink my ship! let me keep it!". James looked at Yuke to see what he would say...

James looked at the man "you either join the crew, or blow up on board your ship. it's up to you. i'm afraid those 2 are the only options you have. if you have any gold, you can keep it and buy a ship when you reach the shore. meanwhile, you'll have to work on the deck like any other crew member.". the Jamaikan said "damn you bloody pirates! i would ki...", but James interrupted, saying "damn us pirates? so your not a pirate yourself then! which means you can't ask for parley!" he drew his pistol and aimed it at the man, then said "make your choice now, or lose your ship and your life.". the man said " ok ok! i'll come with you and leave when we reach land!". James smiled, then told the crew "take the cargo! take all the gunpowder! we'll leave this ship for Yuke to sink if he likes, or tow it to the nearest port, set it's sails with the black flag and let the fort have it's way!"...

the crew took the cargo, and left the ship for Yuke to blast to splinters. after he was done, they continued...

"Yuke seems to have a pretty bad mood," thought Adeline when she heard his yelling and his pleading to blow up the ship. She wasn't sure why.

After Yuke blew the ship, they continued on their trail to search for Will and his crew. It seems that so far, there was no sign of him or his ship. She sighed.

[i could make this post very disappointing, but i wont]

James looked at Adeline, who was walking on the deck of her ship, and said "tonight, we'll have another meeting. be prepared!". then he went back to the vow of the ship, to feel the spray of the sea as the waves clashed into the bow of the ship. the weather was changing. he had a look at the horizon and saw a grey area. it was to the south-east. he hoped that Will wasn't in the same direction. after being sprayed a couple more times, he turned around and went to his cabin. he had a mug of his rum, picked up his compass, then went to the ship's wheel. He then checked his compass. it was pointing south-east. he thought about the party they had the previous night, closed the compass and started humming, then said "...and really bad eggs...Drink up me hearties Yo Ho...". then he smiled and looked at the storm. he was wondering whether the ships could sail through it, or whether they should go around it. he called to Yuke, asking what he thought. Yuke said "i think it'd be best to avoid it.". James then went to the other side of his ship, to ask Adeline what she thought...

She looked up to James when he called her and answered him. "I do agree, but we have to get to Will and the others." She peered out the window, seeing the storm about to start. "It looks like it's going to be horrible out.....I wouldn't risk it." She waited for his response.

James said "so it's settled. we'll go round it. if it catches us, we all strike sail, and heave to drift. to be prepared, keep at least 100 feet between each ship, to avoid hiting it if the waves move us around.". everyone nodded and James said "Rum?", offering some to his friends. he decided to stop the saltwater trick, since Yuke seemingly had a supernatural sense of smell, and could pick the smell of it up before it touched his lips, even through the rum smell that was imprinted into the mug itself. he gave them each a mug of rum, and had a sip of it himself. he waited to see if any of the captains wanted to speak. he looked at them, from Nathaniel, to Adeline, to Yuke, waiting for a word from either one of them, sipping from his mug while he waited...
