Storm's sword whipped out of it's scabbard and was suddenly held to Jame's throat! "What did you say?" she asked through gritted teeth. She pressed a little harder just enough to let a small trickle of blood run down the end.

James smirked as a pistol barrel pressed into the bottom of Storm's lower jaw, a perfect angle to blow her brains out the top if she tried it, as Raphael stood in the background with his sword drawn, Nathan standing behind James a short distance away, his own pistol pointing at Storm's eye, with Adeline pointing her own pistol at Storm's head, her previously gentle attitude now turning to defensive. "I said 'i mean the first one, you silly little girl'" James said again, finger held on the trigger. even if she attempted to kill him, her brains would be blown out three different directions AND she'd be choked by a whip as a result. she was in a very dangerous situation at the moment...

Storm grimaced as the guns pointed at her. "Because if you must know, I treasure it in a strange, I hate it, way," she said as she slowly withdrew her sword from his throat. She studied him slowly, in a way he was like Jack, but in a better way.

"That's better. though you still fail to explain why that would stop you from mentioning a name" said James as his crew members remained wary, even though James himself was talking casually...

"Because..." Storm started then trailed off, she fingered her heart shaped charm and sighed. She looked at James with a studying look. "Because, because it doesn't matter, a name doesn't change who and what you are," she said solemnly. Or as Shakespeare quoted; A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, she thought.

James chuckled. "Exactly. so what are you worried about? the name won't change who you are, so why be afraid to talk about it?" he said...

Storm sighed. And shoved her sword back into it's scabbard, but waited just long enough to see the engraving next to the hilt. "My name is..." she trailed off. She had never told anyone her real name, besides the members of the Council of the Divine and Cosimo, but he never used it. "Please understand I'm not used to giving out who I am, but know this Storm is who I am, Tempest is no longer." She shoved the rest of her sword into the scabbard and started to walk away. "Oh and by the way, if you ever call me a silly little girl, you'll wake up the next morning hanging by your toes."

Adeline raised her eyebrow. What was wrong with Tempest? It sounded like a pretty name. She kept from laughing a little at the girl's threat and shook her head. "Come on, let's go to the tavern," she said quietly to James.

James rolled his eyes at the amusing threat. "I'd like to see you try and get past the smell of me boots" he mumbled, more to amuse Adeline than anything else, as he put his pistol in it's holster, Nathan following as Raphael stayed behind, boarding the Reaper as it came into port, James heading for the tavern with Adeline. he still couldn't see why the girl hated the name so much. sure having Tempest Storm as a name was somewhat odd, but it was a nice name none the less. he had more of a right to complain than she did. he was a pirate...and his name was JAMES! JAMES for crying out loud! it sounded like something you named a stuck up British aristocrat! not something to be given to a Pirate! he rolled his eyes in amusement and walked on, his mind on his two most beloved things in the world; Adeline and Rum...

Cosimo smiled as he saw Storm walk away in one piece. "I was this close to jumping in!" he said showing the length with his thumb and pointer finger. Storm rolled her eyes and shook her head, Cosimo was a big worry-wart, couldn't stand to leave her alone to save his life! Suddenly Cosimo's face turned serious. "Where have you been?!" he shouted. "I went to the tavern the men said you were at and guess what you weren't there!!" Storm hated this, Cosimo always thought that he was her father. "What the bloody hell did you think you were doing??!!"

Adeline chuckled as they were walking to the tavern together. "Good one James. That girl, she has one spirit on her, though she does get frustrated very easily. It would be best to learn to control that anger," she suggested with a smile. When they got to the tavern, Adeline closed her eyes and listened to the sound of pirates playing music. It brought a welcoming feeling to her. She opened her eyes, took James hand, and went quickly in the pirate filled place.

"Being a pirate," Storm said. Cosimo sighed heavily. "When are you going to learn that I'm not always going to be there to bail you out?!" he rasped. "These are men who don't care what age you are, they're drunk and they're looking for some company!" "And you wonder why I hate men so much," Storm said glaring at Cosimo, with that glare that usually said 'clamp it!' Cosimo ignored her. "What if you get drunk and wondering around this rat hole, then what?!" he asked. "Even when I'm drunk, I don't let men get the best of me," Storm said evenly.

James chuckled. "She needs to learn manners, that's what she needs" he said with a smirk. "Even a Pirate has to have some sort of manners or else he's not going to get anywhere fast!" he added as they entered the tavern, the sound of music, hearty singing, less hearty brawls and smashing bottles bringing back sweet memories. James walked forward, bending backwards as ANOTHER bottle whizzed past his face, before continuing until he reached the bartender. one of the men looked at him like he had seen a ghost. it was one of his former crew members. "CAP'N!" said the man as he rushed over to him. "I saw you dragged down to the locker!" said the man. "I was...but with a bit of help from good friends, i got back" responded James. "Incoming" he added as another bottle flew at him and he bent sideways to avoid it, the bottle smashing into a wall and scattering glass everywhere. "WILL YOU STOP HURLING BOTTLES AT ME?!" he yelled, everything suddenly going quiet. bottles were being aimed at everyone, but James had happened to be in the way several times, resulting in the somewhat amusing scene. "Better" he said, before looking at his old crew member, who said "Cap'n....i'd like to serve again, if ye'd 'ave me". "What's your name?" asked James, eying the man. "Robert O'reily" said the man. "Welcome back to the crew then, Robert" said James before turning to face the bartender and raising a finger as he said "Two mugs of Rum, mate. one for me and one for the beautiful lass he...err, make it a Rum and a water. make sure that's drinking water and not saltwater or else you'll be the one being cooked on the fire in the place of your hog". the man nodded and went for a couple of mugs and started pouring the drinks...

Adeline giggled, amused at the scene set in the tavern. People were crazy as always, throwing bottles everywhere and sometimes running around. What really made her laugh was when James silenced the place, getting annoyed with the bottles being thrown in his direction. "Wow James, you know how to silence a room fast," said Adeline.

James smirked. "It was more luck this time, usually i'd get bombarded with more" he said just as a bottle smashed against one of the wooden pillars in the tavern, the click of James' pistol trigger being heard as he pointed it right at where the bottle came from, not even turning. "Next bottle to be thrown will mean a bullet in your eye....even if it's NOT you who threw it" he said. the man the pistol was pointed at was one of the more feared Pirates around, but James' tone was enough to convince him that he was serious. that, in turn, would make the others stop, for fear of being ripped apart by the pirate for almost getting him killed, if he survived. the bartender put the drinks down in front of James, the water mug given to Adeline as James took the mug of rum and sniffed it, before tasting a bit, finally downing it in one go, sure that it was clear of poison...

Adeline swirled her mug of water around before tasting it a little, the drinking about half of it. She obsevred the actions in the tavern, noticing that some of the action ensured. "It will never stop in here," she stated while laughing a little and drinking more of her water.

Storm shoved past Cosimo and continued toward her ship. Cosimo followed but kept talking. "Storm, I worry about you and not just because you're young or because you seem to have a nack of getting into trouble, I think of you as a friend and I don't want to see a friend get hurt." Storm rolled her eyes and sighed. Once they got on deck Storm went up to the stern. Cosimo followed, now enraged that she was ignoring him. "When are you going to learn to GROW UP!!!" An oar smacked him on the face, it was actually Storm's hand. He reeled back to the rail holding the stinging side of his face. "DON'T YOU EVER SAY THAT AGAIN!!!" she shriecked and marched to her cabin, the door slammed, the locks clicked and they heard no more...

James chuckled. "As is to be expected" he said, before looking at the bartender and saying "Mate, would you care to sell me a few barrels of Rum? i need a few for the crew". "Sure ma'e. 'ow many dya wan'?". "I'd say roughly 400 if you have them" responded James. "Sure. i've got plenty more than enough to give you 'em. that is, IF you're willin' ta pay 1600 gold for it though". James stared at him, dumbfounded. "That's outright theft!" he said. "Pirates, mate. even the Tavern Keeper's one at heart" said the man with a smirk. James smirked as he said "Well...what exacty is stopping me from breaking in, stealing those 400 and leavin' the rest to you, free of charge?". "The number of angry pirates on Tortuga that'll want yer 'ead on a platter if ya did" responded the Bartender. "and if i were to say, pull the trigger on this pistol and blow yer heart outta yer back, take the keys and take what i like, then tell everyone on Tortuga the Rum's free of charge and that they could help themselves to as much as they liked?" said James with a sly smirk. "Err...ya go' me there, sir...what say we make it....1200?" said the man with a nervous laugh. "Make it 400 and we have an accord. any higher and you'll have a new hole to fill with rum and other forms of sustainance". "Bu' then i'm gonna lose more than i spent to ge' em!" responded the man. "Take it or leave it, mate. you're the one who said you had plenty more. push the prices up a bit and you'll regain your losses" said James sternly. "Alrigh' alrigh'!" responded the man. James looked at Nathan, telling him to go get the crew. he then said "Show me the Rum, mate". the man sighed, nodding, leading him into the back while giving the barmaid the job of watching the counter. James began to follow, beckoning Adeline to follow...

Adeline followed James, shaking her head. "Very piratey," she commented for James' ears only. She took out her pistol and pointed it at the man while following James.

Cosimo's eyes stung with tears, the slap had shaken him all the way down to his toes and he remembered how the slap sounded, like a gunshot. He breathed evenly and shakily, trying to breathe past the tears, but not succeeding...
