Nguvu smiled at the reaction, before continuing his meal...

Not long afterwards, Nguvu rose to his feet, having eaten to satisfaction. the lion walked a few feet away from the kill before laying down, yawning, looking back at Uzuri with a smile. Kubwa, meanwhile, was still eating. he had all but stripped the water buffalo's hind right leg of flesh, and had begun ripping into the other, harder to reach leg...

Once Uzuri had eaten her fill, she backed away from the carcass and sat beside Nguvu, starting to wash her paws and face.

Amani glanced over towards Kubwa, who was tearing into what was left of the other hind leg, having some difficultly reaching it. She looked up at the evening sky, and watched the clouds slowly go by to pass the time by.

Once Sharp claw had reached to bottom of the seemingly endless cliff, he started to head off back towards his den, wanting some rest from the day's events. He yawned as he stopped to stretch on the forest floor, looking back towards the cliff before heading off into the jungle...

Nguvu began to try and clean the wound on his shoulder, sighing when he realised it was out of reach. instead he cleaned his paws and face, deciding he'd go looking for a stream or watering hole to clean the wound in. after the recent rain the water would not be dangerous to bathe in...

a crack was heard as Kubwa pushed the rear end of the buffalo, flipping it, snapping the spine and exposing the intact leg, continuing to eat...

Seeing Nguvu's predicament, Uzuri leaned over and started cleaning the wound with long strokes of her tongue.

Nguvu cringed at the feel of Uzuri's rough tongue on the wound, but settled, smiling thankfully, sighing in relief now that his wound was being tended to. he considered what the future had in store for him. this problem amidst his family would not last forever. as soon as he had fully healed he would hunt down Maovu and bring him, alive or otherwise, before his mother, to pay for his actions. he would likely die at the claws of the pride. but regardless of what happened, after that...he would be free again. where would he go next? he didn't want to be part of a pride. but at the same time, he had every intention of living for the rest of his days by Uzuri's side. to have a family with her...to raise them as he was raised. but at the same time...he didn't want to be bound to one place. perhaps....a compromise...he would have to think about it. "Uzuri?" he growled, deciding to start sharing the conscerns with her....afterall...there was quite a chance they were going to be together for a considerable amount of time...she had to have a say...

Uzuri, concentrating on cleaning the wound, gave a soft "hmm?" to show she was listening.

"Have you thought about whats next? after the whole Maovu situation, i mean" growled Nguvu simply, licking his chops of what little remained of his meal...

Uzuri paused in her licking, turning her head so she could see Nguvu better. "A bit," she growled.

"Well..." she shifted uncomfortably. "I'm thinking that I'm not used to being in a pride anymore. I mean, your mother is obviously a great leader, and the other lionesses must be amazing in the hunt...but I've been separated from this life for too long. So..." She looked down, trailing off. After a moment of trying to collect her thoughts, she went on, "...I don't know if you were planning on staying here or taking over another pride or going back to your old life after this mess has been sorted out. But I know I'm more comfortable outside pride life."

Nguvu chuckled. "Glad to see i'm not the only one who thinks pride life is boring" he growled with a smile. "I couldn't bare to lose my freedom to roam. jungles, forests, plains, grasslands. there are just so many things to explore around us. I'd be stupid to bind myself to a pride and miss out on all that" he purred with a smirk. "Having you along just makes it all the more pleasant" he added...

Nguvu smiled. "What do you say to living in the jungle for a few months? maybe with or near Lusa and Night?" he growled...

Uzuri returned the smile. "I'd say that sounds fantastic," she replied.

"Have you ever seen a waterfall, Uzuri?" growled Nguvu after a few moments of thought, deciding on where in the area Night and Lusa were he should look for a den...

"No, I haven't," Uzuri growled, almost wistfully. "I hear they're beautiful though."

Nguvu smiled. "In that case, i'll take you to one after we're done with Maovu. I remember hearing a waterfall nearby while i was hunting that tapir. if we're lucky, maybe it'll be a big one" he growled...

Uzuri's ears pricked excitedly, though she tried not to look too eager. They still had to take care of Maovu, and that might take a while.

Nguvu smiled before lying down, deciding it was about time he got some rest. he raised a paw invitingly to Uzuri, as if silently offering something more comfortable than the ground and rocks to sleep against...

Kubwa meanwhile had half skeletonised the second leg, before getting up, licking his chops and walking back to the pride. he wanted to make sure they trusted him, so he thought it best to sleep where they could see him and keep an eye on him. Maiara watched the lion approach, before lying down amidst the lionesses, keeping as much distance between himself and Jino as possible. she realised the rift that had torn between the two was larger than she thought. as cubs and through most of their lives, they slept side by side...considering Jino's behaviour, that told her one of two things....either Kubwa was truely no longer close to his brother....or that he was trying to fool them into thinking such. but considering the oddity of the situation and the impossibility for them to have predicted it, she seriously doubted it was the latter. resting her head, she let sleep overcome her...
