We're beggars and blighters, ne'er-do-well cads.
Drink up me hearties yo ho!
Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads!
Drink up me hearties yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me!

Storm finished the song and the men applauded and whistled, some even threw their hats on the stage. She bowed deeply to hide her smile. One of the men in the audience was actually asking for an auncor performance!

he grinned when Adeline drank the rum. "I told you it would be. you need to have more faith in me, Adeline" he said, smirking. he then addressed her comment about him liking rum. "Is liking Rum such a bad thing though? keeps me cheerful...you wouldn't want me as angry as i was back when Nine Tails was serving on my ship, ALL THE TIME, would you?" he said with a chuckle.

Adeline winced as that memory came back to her. She shook her head. "No that wouldn't be good," she answered. "That was very cruel back then, but I guess he deserved it."

James shrugged. "Well, i think the ship should be ready by now" he said as he checked his clock, getting up and turning towards the door, watching several of the men around the tavern gawking at Storm. what a wannabe...to think she calls herself a pirate...while in reality she's no more than some stage performer in the Tortuga Tavern he thought amused. the singing itself wasn't anything special compared to what he'd seen in the past. it was good, but not excellent. apparently the same couldn't be said for the pirates. he walked out, heading for the Shipyard, seeing the masts of the Reaper drifting out of it, confirming his guess...

Adeline walked out of the tavern with James, thinking about Storm and her singing. She seems more like a performer, she thought. She was eager to get on the Reaper and start heading out for sea. "Finally, we're out of that tavern," she joked.

"Yeah...did you see Storm? it was funny how just a couple of days ago she was claiming she was a pirate...when taking the fact she performs in taverns" he said in an amused tone as they neared the Shipyard...

"What kind of pirate performs in a tavern," Adeline asked in an amused tone. "And did you see all of those men? They were all gawking at her...I think she liked it too."

"But she is a pirate!" Cosimo said walking out of the shadows. "I was the one who dragged her into it, she didn't want to!" Cosimo was a very loyal first mate and he wasn't about to let his captain get slandered.

"Well why would she bother performing in a tavern, of all places? sure, maybe for the crew of her ship. that would boost the morale. but a tavern? crawling with random pirates who don't care about her reputation and capability? pirates greater than herself and more powerful, more skilled, more capable in combat and in the captaining of a ship? that's utter madness. only a fool would risk something like that. it's a massive blow to one's reputation in her case, not to mention the fastest way to lose her crew's respect. take it from me as a seasoned captain and son of an even more seasoned Pirate. that was a bad move on her part" said James simply as he eyed the man, who was holding them up from the Shipyard...

Cosimo twirled his sword in his hands nervously. "No, it wasn't a bad move on her part, I'm the one who dragged her in, I will be taking all the blame," he said. "COSIMO, where are you, you thieving, rutting, b*****d!!" Storm's voice rang out.

"Why did you drag her into it," Adeline inquired. When she heard Storm's voice, she shook her head. "Does she always say that when she calls you over? Sounds rather disrespectful."

"Only when she exceptionally furious," Cosimo said nodding his head. "I was angry at her at the time, so I thought I'd pull a few threads and see what her expression would look like," he said now looking in the direction of Storm's voice.

"I'll leave you to take the blame then. i have a repaired ship to pay for" said James as he walked past the man and headed for the Shipyard, wlaking in to see his friend laying back with his feet crossed over his table. "Tha'll be 8000 gold, mate" said the man. "Make it 4000 and we have a deal" said James. "Oh come off it, James. you know as well as i do tha' those be sta'e of the ar' cannons you have on yer ship! i can't afford to drop the price!" responded the man. James thought for a moment, eventually sighing as he put a bag of gold on the table and headed towards the port...

Adeline nodded a goodbye to Cosimo before heading off to catch up with James. "It doesn't sound like Storm respects Cosimo...poor guy, he seems so nice too." She sighed and put her hands in her pockets. She looked ahead, focused on getting on the ship.

"yeah...makes you wonder why he's so loyal" said James as they headed for the port...

"...and has been known, on occasion, to frighten young women" said Jack as he walked down the dock to the dinghy to the Pearl, two women on either side of him. "And i promise you. you will not...be disappointment" said Jack, James watching from the start of the docks. He sighed as he looked at Adeline, saying "I told you he was a flirt...he's the reason i either get slapped a few hundred times by random women here or get chased by their lovestruck dogs"...

Adeline patted James on the back. "Aw James, it's your father's nature. I don't think he can stop with it," she said softly. "I guess he...loves the attention of the ladies." She giggled. "You got to admit, he is a somewhat charming fellow."

Suddenly Storm turned the corner and marched toward Cosimo. "I just want to say before you do anything, you look liked you enjoyed," Cosimo said blocking his face slightly. "Not when James and his lady showed their disapproving faces!!" she yelled. "Who?" "Those two you were talking to," she said. "Oh, so that's the famous or is it infamous James Sparrow," Cosimo said in wonder looking behind him at the two. "Yes and I don't want to run into them again, not after tonight!" "Aye, captain," Cosimo said. "Now we have a lot of sea to cover," she said calming down slightly. "Aye, aye!" Cosimo said following behind Storm toward the Shipyard where the ship was already starting to disappear...

"Is that it?" said the blonde woman on his right, a tone of disappointment in her voice as she looked at the Dinghy. "The Black Pearl?" said the red head on his left. "It's not very big" said the blonde. "Love, that is a Dinghy. My vessel is magnificent and fierce..and Huge-ish and.....gone.....why's it gone?" said Jack as he looked at the empty spot where he had the Pearl drop anchor after repairs were made. "Is that it there?" said the Blonde, the red head looking into the distance and Jack doing the same, spotting the Black Pearl sailing off in the distance. "Yes there it is!....why's it there?" said Jack. the two girls looked at eachother then at Jack as he said "It's much bigger up close". "Oh Jack you promised to take us for a ride!" said the red head. "I was to be given the first ride!" said the blonde. "What? you?" said the Red head, ridiculing the blonde's words, the two starting to argue as Jack walked over to Gibbs, who was asleep on the dock by a couple of barrels. Jack poured the contents of his mug of rum onto the sleeping Bos'un's face, who shook his head to get rid of it as he got up, looking at Jack through sleepy eyes. "Mr. Gibbs...any particular reason why the Ship is gone?" said Jack as he eyed his sleepy friend irritably. "The ship...we're on the ship" said Gibbs as he lay back down sleepily, Jack staring at him with a look of confusion. suddenly Gibbs' eyes widened and he got up. "JACK! THE SHIP'S GONE!" he exclaimed in alarm. "Really?" said Jack in mock disbelief, just as the howling of the two fighting women behind him got his attention. "LADIES, will you please shut it!" he said, the two stopping and looking at him. "Listen to me" he started, looking at the blonde, alternating between them, starting with the blonde as he said "Yes, i lied to you. No, i don't know you. Of course it makes you look fat. I've never been to Brussels. It is pronounced Ig-ree-gious. By the way no, i've never actually met Bizarro but i love his pies. And all of this pales to utter insignificance in light of the fact that my ship is once again GONE...savvy?". the two women looked at eachother, the blonde giving him a slap and knocking his face towards the Red headed one, who then slapped his face back so he was facing Gibbs, Jack then slapping Gibbs just for the sake of making him share it. Gibbs' eyes were wide in confusion as he turned to look at Jack again, who simply shrugged. Gibbs' face softened and he rolled his eyes in a shrugg, before grinning. "Take what ya can" he started. "Give nothing back" finished Jack as they brought their fists together in agreement, Gibbs walking after the two ladies as they walked away, trying to catch them before they saw James and gave HIM a share as well. "Tell me ladies!....what do ya know of Sea Turtles?". Jack looked out at the ocean, towards the Pearl, a slightly saddened look on his face...

"Typical dad...can't keep his ship in place no matter how hard he tries" said James with a sigh as he walked towards his own long boat, giving a grateful nod to Gibbs as he got into his Long Boat, Gibbs nodding back as he led the ladies away, careful not to let them look towards him, as James got down into the long boat Nathan sitting in it with two other crew members...

Storm gripped the helm with a gentle hand as Cosimo gave the orders to cast off. "Unfurl the sails, weigh anchor, let's get moving!!" she called and Cosimo repeated. She closed her eyes as the bracing sea air hit her face and blew her hair back. "Where to Captain Storm?" Cosimo called up. "How's about sailing around a bit, I'm in no hurry to go anywhere," she called back. "Aye, captain," Cosimo said.

Adeline shook her head and got into the longboat as well, sitting next to James. She laid her head on James' shoulder and sighed, closing her eyes. "Back on the water," she said happily, already getting used to the way the water moved the boat.
