[mega raptor]

Crusher had killed Thrasher. To Scar it seemed strange, the giant Spinosaurus seemed to be a constant factor in their lives. Even when they hadn't seen the Spinosaur, they could still feel his presence, whether it be from the animal's roar in the distance or claw marks on the trees. And now it was gone.

Cautiously, the Velociraptors came up to the carcass and began to eat, enjoying their meal. When they finished, they returned to their nest. Some of them went and caught Compies for their young, others laid down and slept. Scar went and found a Compy for his young to kill, breaking its legs to allow the hatchlings an easy kill.

When he returned, he instinctivly counted the young raptors. Scar counted only 6 out of 8. Following their tiny footprints, he tracked them partway down the mountain. Suddenly he heard the distress call of a hatchling Velociraptor. Following the sound, he found the two Velociraptors cornered by a Gigantosaur about his size.

The Gigantosaur plucked up one of the Velociraptor chicks, shaking it vigorously and breaking its neck. The other was able to hide behind him, and when the Gigantosaur was finished with the first, it turned twoards him to challenge Scar for the second. Scar growled at the Giga, going into a threatening pose. The Giga realized it could not win, and left.

When he was sure it was gone, Scar picked up the surviving hatchling in his jaws and took it back to the nest. With one already missing, he and his mate would need to keep a closer eye on them from now on.

Titan heard the battle between the giants and decided to investigate seeing as their wasn't realy anything he was afraid of.He walked untill he came across a slightly wounded Rex walking toward him.He noticed something.......something farmilar. It can't be.........It is! It is Rex's brother! Now to finish the job....... growled Titan. He walked toward Crusher but then heard him call another Rex.Two of them because he heard both answer him. He has family......perfect...... Titan growled. He ran out and slamed his massive head on Crusher's side,making him fall.He roared very lound and stepped on Crushers side.He pressed down hard untill Crusher threw his foot off.Crusher changed color in front of him.His eyes turned a red color. Ha! You think that intimidates me? You just make me laugh! growled Titan with a look of amusement on his face.He was charged at by Crusher but dodged it.He went to bite Crusher but was hit his tail.Titan fell back and roared.He got up and bit Crushers tail.He thrashed it into a tree causing Crusher to fall.Crusher again showed great speed.He bit Titan and toppled him over.Crusher roared and dived at Titan.Titan,using his clawed hands,slashed Crusher on the face twice.Crusher didn't notice and came forward.Titan kicked Crusher and knocked the wind out of him.Titan got up and slammed his head into Crusher's side and then hit Crusher's head with his tail.Crusher roared and charged Titan over.Titan roared and bit Crusher's underside.He kicked Crusher again and got up quickly.He slammed Crusher with all his weight and knocked him over. Now for your family..... growled Titan as he ran toward the direction of the calls that answered Crusher's.

Crusher got up, and ran at full speed, chasing the Giga. he couldn't risk losing his family. his memory fresh from what Thrasher's family along with this same Giga had done. he would not let them kill his family. he'd lost too much to them already and would not lose another family member to them.

Crusher soon caught up to the Giga, and ran around in front of it. he roared at it, the roar matching his previous territorial roar, making the Giga hesitate. Crusher charged for it, and bit down on it's back. it roared in pain and pounded Crusher's back, making him stumble. it tried to continue but Crusher bit it's tail, his weight preventing it from going any further. it turned around and pounded him again, but Crusher would not let go. he'd either bite the tail off, or lose his jaws, or it would relent and stop trying to go to his family. the 3rd option turned out to be the Giga's choice, and it pounded Crusher over and came to his stomach, wanting to kill him. Crusher kicked the Giga's face, knocking it back. he got up, and the Giga lunged at him, but Crusher dodged. it stopped and turned at Crusher, then bit him on the back. it's jaws hurt when it did that. Crusher's back stung, but he was ok otherwise. both backed off from eachother and the Giga snarled "i'll get you for that...". Crusher growled "i didn't do anything to you...", but the Giga had already gone too far. it ran into the Jungle and soon was out of sight. Crusher knew that was the Giga that killed his brother, but he was calmed down by the fact that he already had a part of his revenge, and that was enough from getting into a fight to the death, for now.

Crusher went back to his family, and growled "be very careful from now on. it seems we have another enemy.". Rampage growled "who? what is it?". Crusher growled "the Giga that killed my brother. he wants to kill us as well. i don't know why. he was asked to kill my brother by Thrasher's family. he seems to want us dead as well for some reason". Hunter noticed the numerous cuts his father had. most would heal up soon and become invisible, but the scar on his right upper jaw, from Thrasher, would be permanent, just like the one on his left upper jaw. Hunter was excited when he had a look from across the river at what had happened. he had snuck away from his mother to get a better look at Crusher's fight with Thrasher. he was amazed by his father's rage, by the changes that occured to him when he became angry. little did he know he would become exactly the same in the following years. he growled "what happened?". Crusher growled "i just made sure the Spinosaurs know who the real kings are...".

Crusher went with his family, and caught an adult Anatotitan. it's size would feed him for the day and a half that he hadn't eaten... after that, they returned to the nest and slept.

Sharpclaw watched her seven young raptors closely and caught a small compy for them. She broke the leg of the compy so that it would be easier for the young ones to take it down. She watched with interest as her babies went after the compy. A pleased raptor purr was emitted from her as she watched her children. They were getting really good at hunting, little by little. They were all working as a team.

Suddenly, she heard the territorial roar of the Tyrannosaur, Crusher. Her head shot up at the sound. She froze in place and listened. Her hatchlings scurried back to the nest. There was a feeling of fear throughout the nest. The female gazed down at her babies and tried to comfort them softly.

Titan had ran for a reason.To confuse Crusher.He turned around after a few minutes and headed toward the nest.When he got there they were all asleep. Perfect..... Titan growled.He roared a very loud roar to wake them up.Crusher was up first and was looking around.Titan charged at him,sending him falling back onto the ground.he slamed his head on Rampage's side causing her to fall also.He now saw his true goal,the chick.He ran toward the young Rex but Crusher tackled him to the ground.Titan roared and bit Crusher's leg.He sliced it with his teeth and threw him off.He ran toward the young rex and slammed his head very hard toward him.He didn't hit the young one,instead he hit Rampage who jumped in his way.He heard a few ribes crack.She fell back but got up to protect her chick.He just roared at them and charged.Crusher bit Titan's back and threw himself against Titan.They grappled for a moment then Titan managed to slash the young rex's face.It ccaused a deep gash.Crusher seemed to become stronger after that.Titan managed to kick Crusher back and stepped on his side.He went to bite him but Rampage slammed into him.He got up and saw he was outmatched with the two of them. The chick will die.Your blood must stop! roared Titan.He then ran back to his territory and rested.

PS:I know Hunter's not a chick anymore but I couldn't call him a child now could I?

Crusher had a look at his son, who was now 30 feet long and growing fast. he had a slash over his left eye, and was half blind. Crusher felt a rage, the likes of which he had never before felt, not even against Thrasher. Crusher snarled "That Giga will pay! i'll give him a slash in the eye like he's given Hunter, and i'll make sure he's helpless and unable to stop me. i'll do it slowly, make sure he suffers.". he then made of roar to match his rage. everything on the island went into a frenzy, going in all sorts of directions. herds stampeded, packs became defensive, birds left their perches and flew away from the island, insects seem to scurry back into their nests, Rampage almost jumped out of her skin and Hunter, although injured, was in awe at the power and noise of his father's roar. He didn't know his father was capable of something so loud.he just thought of the fight he had witnessed a few hours ago. his roar wasn't as loud then, and he was brutal. Hunter wondered what would happen now.
Titan knew he'd done something serious. a chill ran down his spine when he heard the roar, and, although he knew he was larger, he felt a brief few minutes of fear as he heard the roar.

Crusher's skin went vibrant again, and his eyes went a glowing fiery red, that looked like it would burn something if it got too close. his skin was so vibrant, he'd match and likely beat the worlds most colourful fish or bird.

he stood guard over his family while they rested. he would attack when they were awake and safe. he considered taking his family to Scar's old nest, in the cave near the shore, since it was big enough for them, but not for the crazy suicidal Giga [yes, attacking Hunter is considered Suicidal ]. the walls and top of the cave were sturdy, the roof of the cave being a cliff 150 feet high, and the walls nearly 50 feet thick. he would watch over his new, enlarged territory, while they stayed safe in the cave. hunter was also still short enough to fit in the new raptor cave. he wouldn't be for long though, and would have to go somewhere else only 2 weeks after entering it. it was settled, Crusher would watch his current territory, while his family stayed in the cave near the shore. the Giga wouldn't be able to get them there, and they were strong enough to fight anything that could enter it...

Upon hearing the roar and sounds of Crusher fighting, the raptors were in disagreement about what to do. SharpClaw and Exile wanted to go and see if he was alright, but Scar was having none of it. The loss of one of his raptor chicks had forbade him from leaving the nest. He didn't want to lose anymore. And upon hearing this, SharpClaw seemed uncertain.

"I can't go alone!" Exile growled, looking from Scar to SharpClaw "I'm not a fully fledged fighter yet. If i go out there to investigate a large carnivore duel, i probably won't even return!" SharpClaw sighed and walked indoors. Her chicks were barking to be fed again. Scar looked at Exile. He suggested taking a sentry with her. "I'm doing that! They were gonna attack me before! I.." But before she could finish there came a massive roar. Far more mightier than they had ever heard. There was only one dino who could make that much noise...

after 2 hours, Crusher's family woke up. Crusher led them both to the cave. they would be almost invincible inside, and Crusher would be able to bring them food. Hunter knew not to leave the cave, and would stay there until his father told him he could definately come out. Crusher took them to the cave, and the 2 got in. the cave was large, wide enough to keep 5 Rexes Crusher's length. it was too small for the giga to get in though. the walls couldn't be knocked down, no matter how hard any animal tried. Crusher went and caught another adult Anatotitan, and took it to them. he then set out on his daily patrols, rage ubbling in his veins to the point that he may attack any predator that dares to stop him, other than Scar, his pack, and his family...

Crusher's roar shook the Velociraptor's nesting grounds. Scar tried his best to comfort his young, and his mate came over. Then Exile started talking about trying to go see what was happening, but Scar didn't want to leave now. He had already lost one of his own, and he didn't want to leave them.

But his mate came over and growled, It's fine. You go somewhere if you need to, I'll watch the young. Scar stood up and growled back, Fine. Thank you, me and Exile will go see what happened to Crusher. He turned to Exile. If you want to go, let's go.

Exile barked in reply and the two set off out of the cave. They searched for crusher a long time but finally caught his scent. Strangely, they followed it all the way back to there older raptor cave. Exile was puzzled and looked at Scar. He didn't look back and kept his eyes focused on the cave. Exile, ignoring the signs, ran straight upto the cave. She knew Crusher. They both did. Why did they need to stand back?

Scar barked a warning too late. Crusher came crashing out of the cave after catching Exile's scent. He couldn't tell what raptor it was and was taking no precautions. He bellowed into Exile's face and she jumped with fright into the air. She started sprinting back to Scar with the Rex hot on her tail. His eyes had turned red, pupils reduced to slits.
Exile reached Scar and leapt behind him, hearing him bark at Crusher. "It's us!! Why are you attacking!!?? Its us!" Crusher slowed down, Scar's bark finally reaching Crusher, his eyes returned to normal and he looked at them both.
He seemed really edgy. Even the slight disturbance was turning him crazy...

What had happened?

Crusher shook his head, trying to clear his mind. he was becoming so protective he nearly killed his friend. he growled "A Giga has recently attacked my family, and has blinded my son in 1 eye. i moved my family here, and will continue to protect my territory. the creature seems to have stopped. if it hasn't, i'll make sure it doesn't live long enough to continue.". Crusher looked at the terrified Exile, and growled "sorry. i worry about my family's health.". he growled "that Giga will be removed soon. i'll either kill him, or chase him so far out of my territory he get's lost.". he looked at the 2 raptors to see which would speak first and what they would say...

Scar knew what he was talking about. We heard your fight with him last night. But we never knew that he had hurt Hunter. Is he alright? The Tyrannosaur lead Scar and Exile into their makeshift nest. Lying at the end, sunlight beaming down on him from the hole in the ceiling, was Hunter, sleeping by his mother. There was a clear 3-clawed slash mark down one of his eyes.

Behind them, Crusher roared at something. Scar turned and looked, and it was only a 10-foot Irritator, fishing in the surf. Scared, the fisher turned and ran from the 65-foot Tyrannosaur. Scar looked at his friend. The Giganotosaur's attack had really worried Crusher.

Exile didn't like being in the cave with the two adult rexes. She felt sorry for the child, though. But Crusher had scared her. She knew that he hadn't meant it, but she was scared of him before. Over time, she had managed to get over that fear, but it had came flooding back. She kept as close to Scar as possible but couldn't stop the continuous shaking which she felt all over her body. Her mind was telling her to flee. Every part of her body was telling her to flee. She needed to flee, now...

Sharpclaw noticed Exile's continuous shaking. She nudged her in comfort. "It's ok," she cooed. "No reason to be scared." She glanced up at the mighty Tyrannosaur. "Is there any way we can help out?", she growled.

Crusher growled "well, i don't want you to go near enough for him to smell you. if he notices you, you'd be risking your lives just to help me. what i don need however, is for you to find out more about his habits. spying. to help me find his weaknesses.". Crusher noticed Exile was shaking slightly, then growled, in as gentle a sound as a Tyrannosaur could make "what's wrong? there's no need to be afraid of me. i have come to my senses now. i wont attack you. you'd be more at risk from that Irritator than from me.". Crusher watched as Exile's fearful shaking subsided. he growled "ignore whatever experience may have caused you to fear me. i would never hurt you or the pack.". he looked at the 3 raptors. he wondered what they would say or do next...

A wave of relief came over Exile. She calmed down. But was still slightly weary. She wanted to help with the spying as it sounded fun and hoped the others agreed. (I'm making her out to be quite young BTW, if thats okay)

Sharpclaw nodded. "Spying sounds like a good thing to do." She glanced over to Scar for a minute before continuing. "I mean, we're stealthy creatures. We could get away with it. Where did he go after the attack on your son?" She tilted her head slightly.

Scar had noticed that Exile had been shaking. She must have been scared by Crusher. He remebered when he had first been greeted by the gigantic Tyrannosaurus, and he had been suscpicous of the rex. It seemed silly to him now, but a young raptor like Exile would reasonably be frightened. When he had first returned from the human city and had found Crusher arguing with some of his pack about his young, they had also been very scared and had been shaking.

He was torn from his thoughts by Crusher mentioning that he wanted them to spy on the Gigonotosaurus. Sharpclaw asked the Tyrannosaur where the Giga had gone. Yes, where did that Gigonotosaurus go? He waited for Crusher's answer.

Crusher looked at the 3 raptors and growled, keeping his voice down to avoid waking his mate and son "He went to the north eastern edge of my territory. he was one of the 5 predators that it took to kill my older brother, Rex. both me and him have grown much larger than we were back then, and he seems to hate me for no reason. i know he's slower than me, but i'm sure there are other things i can use to my advantage. a damaged limb or injured neck, perhaps. if you could observe his movements carefully, and find out his reutine, i would be much more able as an ambusher and attacker against him.". he looked at the raptors, waiting for a response from one of them...

Sharpclaw growled an excited response. "Good. Very good. We will report to you." She looked to the north eastern side of the territory, wanting to head that way now to start the spying. It was an urge that needed to be quenched. But of course, she had to to wait for Scar to also respond to the Rex. After all, he was the leader.
