The Cypher pulled up alongside the Annhilator, mantaining a constant watch around them for enemies, frequently sending out long range silent radar pulses....

The Imperial Fleet was now prepared to go home to allied territory. Obviously the Tyranids that were swarming the planet had to be dealt with and they had to deal with that at once to make sure the Imperials there would survive and be helped at once. This was also a battle of wills..should the invaders win once more, more morale would been lost and given to the enemy. The Tyranids's possible victory would give them further confidence to continue on and attemtpet to bring all the Empire into ruin. Imperial Officers would then further depend on the Fleet to deal with such threats such as orbital bomardments or to preform to such a capability where no spores were suppose to touch the planet surface. No exceptions..

Should rumor also spread of the inablility of the Empire's Army..more complications would occur. Revan could not allow another planet to be lost..this little pattern of gaining a planet, losing it, then wiping out the surface. As Revan saw that his little tasks he needed to be done was being worked on..a transmission was finally sent to the Cypher.

"Cypher..We have problems back in our front lines. We've ventured out of Imperial Space in search of an enemy until we ran into you. However back in these front lines of ours..A group of these enemies have revealed themselves, secretly hiding on the planet and it seems were required to return there at once to help deal with the threat" The captain who sent the transmision looked at Revan, having done his job.

The Cypher responded to the message simply "I will aid as required, be it planetside or in space." Those were Cere'kans orders. Help the imperials no matter what.... how he resented them....

"Planetside still we cant be sure enemy reinforcements wont arrive" The Captain responded. Revan then nodded as the Captain glanced at the Dark Lord of the Sith. The captain obviously knew they couldnt destroy the planet's surface as usual...they were trying to save it. The TIE Squadrons and the gunships would have to be prepared to head towards the surface as soon as they arrived.

The Cypher responded "Understood. Mark targets and I shall engage at will. I would be most grateful if you could supply images of the hostile forces for me to compare to my database."

In a matter of hours, the fortress was a spire of Tyranids spores and only few surving imperials that had locked themselves inside. There was a telepathic echoe running through the minds of the tyranids, The devourer is coming, it has been called, all hail the Devourer, all hail the Devourer. The great swarm of Tyranids joined in the chant becoming a chorus of earspitting screeched shifted to shape and match the chant.

Deep in a no-mans lands of space an entity awoke with an unworldy glow. And it gave a groaning screech it slowly came to life. It began to drift slowly, but then gaining speed as its pace quickened, carnage the one and only thing on its mind.

Send a transmission out to the Annihilator, see if we can contact them. Embryes said as he sat in his throne aboard the Obliterator. Yes lord, is there a reason however? the communications officer questioned. Perhaps we can find inhabited planets easier in the forsaken galaxy if we ask for their assistance. Embryes remarked. Is that a problem lieutenant? Just curiosity my lord, i will get straight to it. the officer said.

An emergancy transmission came flying back from the Imperial Fortress..by the sounds of it. It wasnt too good as Darth Revan narrowed his eyes through his mask. Another lost planet..another world to burn.

"This is the Annihilator..what's going on Sector Two?" The Captain asked..he knew the answer but the truth of it was just unbearble. Another fortress taken and it seemed that even the mighty Dark Troopers as powerful as they were could not deal with the overwhleming swarms. Imperial Officers within the area made a big mistake..heavily underestimating the numbers and capabilities of the Tyranid Hordes.

"The fortress is lost! we held as long as we can..there numbers..We've used every single thing that we have..we've used every weapon and yet no matter how many we killed..the swarms dont stop. We've trapped ourselves in the fortress..there's hardly any survivors!" The paniced officer made every other Imperial Officer look disgraceful..

"What of the fleet?" Revan asked.

"The Fleet hasnt not unleashed orbital bomardment..they're still in orbit but there was little they could do. Please..save us..dont destroy the surface! we have valuable information right here.." The officer cried who was just begging to be saved.

"Captain..have General Veers prepare for a surface attack. Have Rex and his Men ready for a combat mission. Deploy the fleet so nothing gets of the system..the Tyranids are bound to send in more reinforcements to try and finish them off. Have every single Star Destroyer ready its squadrons..were going to war captain" Revan ordered..

"My Lord..transmissions coming through" An officer stated from the crew pit, glancing upwards towards the Sith. The transmission was played as Revan nodded. The Cypher also was bound to help..this was good..

A transmission was sent back towards the Obliterator. It simply stated. "Imperial Forces are preparing to re-secure a taken Imperial Planet..a joint attack request that we combine forces to get rid of this threat"

Another transmission once more was sent back towards the Cypher along with images of the Tyranids from battles back then in the past. "Cypher..they've flooded the planet as far as Im concerned..its gonna be risky as they are Imperial Survivors in the planet"

Revan watched as the Imperial Officers were ready for work. Ground Forces were mobolizing under one of the Imperial's Army most famed and elite Generals as thousands if not millions of starfighters were getting ready to be deployed as the 501st Fleet once more would be put back in action..

They request aid, their going to war? Well let us join them, what better way to show our loyalty to our new allies. Set course and adjust ion drives to full burn, the cavalry is on its way. Embryes roared in pride as the ship entered hyperspace and was on its way.

The cypher responded after a few seconds of thought "Understood. I will compare target data against what I have seen of your forces. Anything not matching it, shall be destroyed."

While the Cypher was primarily ment for space bourne engagements, he was well armed for dealing with planetside ordeals.....

One last transmission was sent to the Cypher with the coordinates to the Imperial Military Planet. Everything was being checked once more and soon the 501st Fleet hyperspaced towards the Imperial Controlled Space to regroup with the rest of the 501st Armada and to re-take the Imperial controlled planet. The planet most likely was bombed and blasted at..there was most likely nothing else there but there was something else the Imperials needed..they needed a victory. A morale booster..a sign that they can defeat their foes, face to face. More were bound to come..otherwise, only the Annihilator would be required for inspiration and with its elite and brilliant Generals and Officers, coordinate an offensive. This mass offensive would quickly have to establish a blockaide..because soon enough, they would be the ones being attacked. It was the way how the war here was played..

Two Koult left the cave system they had only discovered a few hours ago. However, they weren't normal Koult. They looked as if they had died, been buried for two weeks, and dug back up. Their heads were wrenched backwards over their shoulders, faces twisted in agony, and feelers protruded from their chests. Their left arms had long tentacles sticking out of the tops of their wrists, and they growled obscenely as their ravaged bodies were exposed to the sunlight, closely followed by thousands podlike creatures, which immediately dispersed into the jungles, looking for sufficient food to satiate their hunger...

"Captain?" came the voice of the Computer through the hidden speakers in Serephir's room. "What is it?" said Serephir sleepily, having been lying down on his bed, gazing at the stars through the skylight, his three swords by the side of the bed, propped up in the corner created by the connection of the bed-side table to the bed itself. his hand was on the grip of his pistol, which was in it's holster on his right leg, within reach of his hand. "Sensors indicate that we are approaching a massive asteroid belt. the asteroids are too close together to be able to calculate a safe path using the Hyperdrive. we are left with two options. we could go through it, and use the weapons system to vapourise the Asteroids in our path, or we could go around it. the latter option would set us back by several weeks" came the Computer's voice. "In that case, Activate the Weapons system and engage the Advanced Autopilot". "Activating now". Serephir closed his eyes, hitting a button on the side of his table that made the skylight close, drenching the room in darkness. with the defense systems AND Advanced Autopilot active, the ship could practically pilot itself. and if any situation were to arouse that was out of the ordinary, the Computer would inform Serephir immediately, after which, if the Computer couldn't sort out the situation itself, Serephir could. it was best to let the crew sleep for now...

Arqueek was asleep in his quarters, trying to regain some energy after the Tyranid attack on Kimrav earlier. He kept his pistol close by, deciding that, for once, the classic Skaven paranoia was a good thing...

The Devourer is coming this planet will be finished, the telepathic transmission travelled to all the tyranids who replied with roars and screeches of apparent approval.

Thara was moving stealthily through the corridors of the ship, firestorm submachinegun in hand/, his suit in VR mode, three red eyes across his helmet provideing all the visual senses he needed. He had already stealthily deactivated 4 cleaning drones, by his count there were 3 more active on this deck. He glanced around, planting the skin of a fruit he ate earlier on the floor before crouching down in a door way, his suit illuminateing the darkened corridor... waiting for a cleaning drone to stumble in on his trap...

a faint mechanical whirring was heard as a Cleaner Drone hovered out behind Thara and into the doorway, hovering over to the peal, the large red glowing orb of an eye on the end of a flexable electronic arm zooming in to look at it, before a pair of small arms emerged from the sides of it, point at the one spot, a thin tube poking out of the oval tips of the arms and two thin white beams being fired at the fruit skin on the floor, the beams reducing the skin to mere particles, cleansing the ship, before the eye turned to face Thara, the eye seemingly widening as it took in all the details of his form, noting the gun in hand and the helmet...

Thara's foot kicked up, catching the front of the drone and spinning it around. He lunged out, grabbing hold of the drone, hammering the back of the gun onto a small plate on its back, a covering poping off, he quickly holstered the firestorm, holding the drone to the ground with his foot while he got to work, severing a brown wire within seconds before catching hold of a small circut and jutting it out of place. The drone stopped its struggleing, resting on the ground calmly. The brown wire controled a sensitive part of the machine which controled the drones priorites. Cutting it didnt necessairly disable the drone, but removed its motivation to work. Technically he had a turned a dilligent worker drone into a lazy drone, if that was possible. the point of this procedure was to stop it from alerting the computer. Right now it wouldnt care if half the ship exploded. The circut he jutted out of place was in control of its arms. A lazy drone was just as likely to defend itself as a normal drone.

He let the drone up, which promtly sat on the ground, uncaring. He continued deeper into the ship, the drone being ticked off his list... he had spent quite a while researching how most of the stuff on this ship worked...

The Flood infestation moved through the humid jungle quickly, devouring anything with sufficient biomass, calcium stores, and a central nervous system. Everything else was killed and converted into Carriers instead of Combat Forms or dragged back to the cavern the parasite had originated, for their Gravemind. They had also come across a couple small Koult towns, creating a small army of Koult Combat Forms, even managing to get a few handheld weapons for long-range attacks. They now sought a way to get off the planet with the Gravemind, and seek new sustenance...

The door of the small dusty office slid open silently, the person entering it begining to say something before the koult behind the desk cut him off "Spare me the formalities... What is this all about?" The soilder saluted and then growled "Reports from the more down to earth tribes sir.Originally it was people going missing, now we have reports of who is doing it. A survailence drone spotted maybe 4 koultians, all looking deformed and most certainly dead, however, they were on their feet and moving like the wind. "

The general sat down by his chair, pulling open the blinds behind his desk. He hissed "I see.... You sure these... things... are responsible for the dissappearances?" The soilder nodded and growled "Positive. Description matches the reports we got..."

The general twisted round in the chair, looking out the window at the streets below... After a few moments, he turned around and said briskly "First.
Release the weapon locks on the forest militias. Request a corpse of one of the creatures for study. Make sure everyone hears it, so if any of them have died so far, we will know.
Second, get a tracker team out to search for the missing people. If they ask for it, set aside a Watcher for them.
"

The soilder nodded and left the room....

The trackers should have no trouble maneuvering through the deadly swamps. Hopefully it wouldn't be as easy for the mysterious attackers. He knew for a fact that it was the quite season for Swamp Skippers, so the dissappearances couldn't be linked to the predatory insects....

A large portion of the swampy forest, originating near the tribes, was deathly silent. Anything that moved and was sufficiently large was dead and turned into part of the Flood Hive. The Flood mutants had gathered back at the cave, ready to begin a massive assault on the nearby villages and assimilate more to their cause.
