The north eastern edge of your territory? Scar growled, thinking about the superpredator's chosen home. That's where the sauropods live, he must be hunting them. We'll see what we can do to help you. The 3 Velociraptors sped off, into the north eastern part of the territory.

When they reached the area, they found a herd of Argentinosaurs, protecting a few of the young that had wandered back to the herd. Off in the distance, a Gigonotosaurus was stalking them. The 3 raptors moved closer, trying to hide themselves from view.

Scar found a place to watch the Giga while the others found other places to hide. The Gigonotosaur charged at the herd, catching them off guard. The Giga managed to seperate a 40-foot juvenile from the rest of the herd, and he was able to kill it easily. Scar continued to watch the Giga for a weakness.

Sharpclaw watched the Giga carefully. So far, it displayed no sign of weakness. But she still stayed with the others, just in case. She was hiding in the bushes only a few feet away from Scar and Exile. A low growl escaped her as she waited for him to show any sign at all of being weak. She glanced in Scar's direction. Her eyes were looking directly at the leader. She gave him a questioning expression on her face, which showed something like, "Any sign yet?"

No, Scar snarled in frustration. You'd think after that fight with Crusher, he'd be hurt somehow-a limp, slashed eye, something-but nothing. The Gigonotosaurus must have been hurt somehow, but it almost appeared as if it had healed already.

Meanwhile, the Gigonotosaurus was finishing its meal, and started to head back into the jungle. Do you think we should follow it? Scar growled to Exile and Sharpclaw. Or should we return to the nest?

"We should at least follow it to make sure it doesn't go back to Crusher's territory to do more harm." Exile agreed and soon they were off on the trail to follow the Giga. They tried to be as quiet and stealthy as possible when following the dinosaur.

Crusher finally left his family to bring them a meal. he found a parasaur herd, and eyed a fully grown male Para.he waited until it lowered it's head, eating the lush grass by a small river near the edge of the forest, then charged out, and rammed it. it fell on it's side and Crusher bit it on the neck, crushing it. he dragged the Para back to the nest to see a pack of Raptors closing in on the sleeping T. Rexes. Crusher immediately dropped his kill and gave a booming roar, his rage instantly returning. he saw the lead raptor, the white and black one he had seen the previous day. he charged for it, and grabbed it. he slowly ate the raptor leader alive, screams, screaches and roars of pain coming from the slowly dieing raptor. the horrifying scene scared the pack away. Crusher stopped and threw the half eaten raptor to the ground, smashing it's already damaged chest. he growled, a cold hatred filling his voice "you made your biggest mistake. you shouldn't have attempted to attack my family. now, you will pay the price.". he picked it up again, and swallowed it whole, his tough throat too thick to be damaged by the claws. he went back to the carcass of the para, and dragged it into the cave, to feed his family. he had 2 mouthfuls of it, then left to patrol his territory. as he walked, he thought about what had happened in the last 24 hours, and of the 20 years he suffered, constantly being attacked by spinos. his mother having been killed also angered him. soo, his rage had reached it's peak, vibrant skin glowing white, black, grey and royal blue, with red around his neck and in the muscle cavities on his snout. he continued going on his patrol...

When they heard Crusher's roar, the group of 3 hurried back to the Crusher's nest. By the time they had got there, Crusher was gone. They followed his scent back to him, and found him patroling his territory. What happened? Scar growled.

Crusher growled "a strange pack of raptors attempted to attack my family while they were asleep. i ate the leader and scared the other's by doing so. that same pack had been the one that split my family up years ago. now i have finally had my revenge."

Sharpclaw thought for a moment before replying. "A raptor pack?", she growled. Never has she heard a raptor pack attack a Tyrannosaur. "But raptor packs don't normally attack Tyrannosaurs."

"these aren't normal raptors." growled Crusher. "they are definately velociraptors, but they're bigger than normal, more intelligent than humans and more aggressive than normal. they seem to hate everything around them with a passion. they seem to enjoy playing with the smaller prey, scaring them into stopping, walking around them, then suddenly striking.".

Why do you think they were liek that? Our pack's been all over the island, we've never seen any other type of Velociraptor than ourselves. Of course, this wasn't entirly true, Scar and some of the others had ocasionally seen glimpses of a gray Velociraptor in the jungle, but he never thought much of it. Now, he wondered if it had been one of the strange raptors that had attacked Crusher.

The female also wondered the same. But there were many more packs on this islands, besides Scar's. But these raptors that Crusher was talking about were different.

Crusher growled "when i was young, my father told me of a strange lake, which turned anyone who drank from it into a monsterous version of it's former self. they were often made insane, becoming larger, more intelligent, more aggressive, at the price of sanity. in the years since i started building my own territory, i saw more and more predators who could be attributed to this story. i'm expecting those raptors to be of that poisonous lake, insane, clever, aggressive, bigger and faster.". Crusher looked at the raptors, waiting for a response...

She shuddered at the thought. It sounded bad. "Do you know where it's located?", barked the female with a little shakiness in her voice. "So that we could avoid from drinking the water."

"it's near the human buildings to the west. where i followed you before our alliance. where Scar had faced 2 Carnotaurs..." Crusher growled

In the old human dwellings? Scar asked. Yes, we were there shortly before we discovered our first nest. he turned to Sharpclaw. Didn't you and the others drink from that lake?

before SharpClaw could answer, Crusher growled "it wasn't the one she was drinking from. it was slightly south of the buildings. near to where the Carnotaurs were.".

Sharpclaw was about to answer the question, but Crusher stepped in, saying that it wasn't that one. She was thankful that it wasn't that lake, but at the same time she was also worried. What if the other raptors found it and drank from it? "Scar, what if the others found it though? While hunting? How long would the process take?" She said the question to Crusher.

I'm not sure, and I don't think Crusher will know either, Scar growled. But we should get back, and let them know about the lake. Sharpclaw agreed, and they sped off back twoards the nest.

Crusher looked at SharpClaw and growled "be careful. don't underestimate those raptors. i don't know how long it takes for the changes to show, but i do know those raptors have had alot of the strange water.". Scar growled "I'm not sure, and I don't think Crusher will know either. But we should get back, and let them know about the lake.". Sharpclaw agreed, and Crusher watched as they sped off back towards their nest.

Crusher finished his patrols and heard the Giga roar in the distance. he would deal with it tommorow. he went to the nest alone, his family living at the cave...

As soon as the raptors returned to their nest, Exile distanced herself. She was worried. Many unusual things had happened today. Many things she didn't understand.
Instead of going with the pack on their normal hunting trip, Exile went alone. She loved going on the hunting trips. The thrill of it, raptors barking orders of where the prey was going to turn, never knowing if they were going to be successful or fail.
But, she hadn't proved very successful as working as a team when hunting. She kept forgetting to steer the prey back to the raptors lying in ambush. And when she remembered to do that, the prey would never go the way she wanted it to go.
That was a problem she'd face later. For now, she wanted to see this water. When she first heard about it, she wasn't really interested. She was more preoccupied with the monstorous t-rex. Even though they tried comforting her, for which she was grateful, she still wanted to get out of that cave as fast as possible.
But she had heard Scar and SharpClaw disscussing these new raptors. Powerful they were. Unseen and quick. Lethal monsters. They were really worried about them.
Ideal hunters...

Exile slipped out of the cave as the others were hunting. She had to find the water. She would become a successful hunter and make the pack proud! (don't worry, if one of you don't stop her, i'll make something up  )
