Serephir chuckled. "I don't know about everyone else here" he started as he removed his gloves and rolled up his sleeves. "...but where i come from on Vardia, there's a saying. "The best way to eat food is by hand". Don't know how much truth there is to that, but it hasn't failed me yet" he finished as he flicked a thin black rod from his right wrist, a wide blue beam covering the steak. he moved it from left to right. seeing that nothing on the steak was a different colour, he started, with an expertise that could be called 'civilised non-utensil eating'. unlike most people's ideas of eating with one's hands, Serephir didn't dive into the food with both hands ripping his food apart like some kind of wild animal. instead, it was slow eating, and clean, only his right hand's fingers and palm ever touching the food. the rod he had just used was a toxin scanner. on Vardian branches and places where Vardian lifestyle was practiced, he'd use it to make sure an assassination wasn't attempted via food or drink. here however, it was used to make sure none of the ingredients were naturally harmful to him. Meanwhile, the Twins were diving into their food like it was the first meal they'd had in weeks, and, though at first somewhat surprised, the other VAMCEB soldiers quickly followed suit. they were used to utensils in civilization, but their training didn't go without benefit. Serephir, though seemingly distracted by his meal, was watching the others with amusement. ESPECIALLY Blaze. he looked like he had lost one of the most important things in the world to him. he chuckled at the thought. Serephir was the greatest person in existence from his point of view. this must've been the equivelant of the King rolling in the mud from his point of view. "Eat up, Blaze. or are you feeling shy? poor little kid can't take the strain of such a big change?" said Xander tauntingly. Blaze scowled at him before looking at his meal, finally shrugging and diving in like the rest of the group. "So the kid has guts afterall!" said Xander tauntingly, before being nudged in the ribs by Serephir, Xander nearly choking as a result, Serephir having aimed the hit perfectly to induce such a result. "What's wrong Xander? bitten off more than you can chew?" mocked Alex, before Serephir looked at him, finally silencing him, the group continuing to eat as civilised as possible, though Serephir didn't seem bothered...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
