"We'll dig them out as soon as we get back to the cave," Inculta growled, smashing the last of the eggs under his foot and turning to look at Banescale and Fatalis. "Try to stand."

Fatalis grunted, sniffing the air before bolting off into the undergrowth, returning a few minutes later with some damp moss. the Raptor approached, pressing the moss to the wound. "This'll sting a bit. bare it" he hissed as he pressed it to the wound and squeezed, the moss releasing water caught within it like a sponge, washing away the blood as Fatalis hooked a claw into the wound, slipping it under the most major shard and pushing it out, the shard hitting the ground. Fatalis was at a loss as to how ill that Oviraptor must've been for it's beak to splinter like that. if this was any sign to them, it was either that the pack was on it's way to dying by disease, or that the leader was so old that it was literally falling to pieces. "Try and stand now" he hissed...

Banescale stood, but to his suprise, he only felt a slight burning sensation where the shard had been. Ho looked over at Fatalis and quietly hissed, "Where.. where did you learn that..?"

Viridis, overhearing the olive green raptor's words, gave the younger raptor a gentle nudge with her muzzle. "Relax," she murmured. "Inculta is a good leader; they'll all come back safely."

The calls of Oviraptors began to reach Inculta's ears. Faint and distant, but the patrol was definitely on the way back. "Agreed," he growled, turning and heading into the undergrowth, slowing his pace to help Banescale keep up.

"You two head back. I'm going to try and break our scent up so they can't try and avenge their dead. Make sure Sylicora and Silver know not to worry" he hissed before turning back, shooting through the Oviraptors' nest and towards the patrol...

"Good luck," Inculta growled, wanting to pick up the pace. He couldn't because of Banescale's injury, which frustrated him. He wanted to get back as soon as possible.

Banescale stopped only for a moment to look back at Fatalis, nodded and continued his limp-run. He then looked over at Inculta and hissed, "If your so eager to get back, then go ahead, I can make it alone. Probrally..... well maybe."

as Fatalis closed in on the Oviraptors, gauging distance by their calls, timing his jump, leaping powerfully, the Raptor screeching loudly as he exploded from the undergrowth and right over the heads of the Oviraptors, his claws clipping the head of one as he went, beheading it, the Raptor continuing to run, the scent of their packmates' blood on his claws...

Banescale quickened his pace at the sound of screeching Oviraptors, "Well, he found the patrol," he looked over at Inculta, "now lets get going, before they find us."

By now, the Scutosaurus was but grisly remains of a kill, several large bones sticking up from the kill. Not too far away from the kill, resting in the underbrush, lay Lurker, the Gorgonops fast asleep, blood all over his maw...

Blackscale was on patrol of her territory. A large number of herbivores gathered in here, meaning that predators would most likely try and get to the huge ammount of food here... she would have to make sure nothing that wasn't supposed to be in got inside....

"A good leader never abandons an injured packmate," Inculta rumbled. "Don't strain yourself." But he too upped the pace a bit.

Panicked screeches broke out among the oviraptors, a few of the more aggressive ones immediately giving chase. A few more followed, while the rest ran on to see if their unborn young and their home had escaped attack.

Banescale, now limping badly, though maintaining speed turned his head around at the sound of the Oviraptors. He turned around and continued running. "I can see why they chose you as their leader," He snapped, winching and growling at every step.

Fatalis arced around, making sure to use his speed to his advantage, outflanking the Oviraptors and coming back around, intercepting the ones heading for their nest, another screeching roar coming from the Raptor as he leapt, colliding with the one at the front of the ones returning, his claws hitting strategically along the spine as the Raptor kicked off in mid air, launching him forward into the air again while pushing the Oviraptor to the ground, the force of the fall doing whatever the initial blow didn't guaranteeing paralysis or death in the beaked predator as Fatalis ran onwards...

Inculta slowed once more, seeing Banescale's struggle to keep up.

A younger oviraptor darted out of the underground cave, screeching a challenge at the raptor as it snapped at his ankles. A few of the adults leaped over the body of their fallen packmate, bloodlust now mixing with the fear in their shrieks.

Banescale suddenly froze, he stuck his head up and moved it back and forth, scanning the bushes. He looked over at Inculta, and snapped "Thought I saw something fallowing us back there," before continuing onwards.

Fatalis snarled as he suddenly moved both feet forwards and kicking off, slowing his running speed and sending him vertical, landing on top of the Oviraptor, kicking downwards, the force of the blow snapping the small Oviraptor's spine as Fatalis landed. the Raptor continued forward, satisfied he had their attention now. he headed onward towards the territory of one of the nearby predators. in their rage he was fairly sure they wouldn't notice where he was leading them...

Many of the Oviraptors followed the raptor, calling out for his blood. A few stayed behind to inspect their home, among them the dominant female of the group, who, rather than calling out for her mate, slid into the underground cave. Two younger oviraptors ran forward to meet her, and she raised her head, rage flowing through her. One raptor couldn't have done all this by itself, skilled or not...the pack close by must have been involved. She led the young ones out of the cave and left them to the care of the two other remaining adults. She began to look for her mate's body, letting out a sound resembling a moan when she found him. They killed my mate, our eggs are destroyed, and more will surely die... She closed her eyes, choking back the rage and grief. One day...the time for revenge will come, and we will do to them what they have done to us. But for now, they must think we are all dead or have left. She turned to what was left of her pack. "Come," she hissed. "We must leave this place, or we will die too." She turned and slipped into the undergrowth, heading away from the raptors' territory. The small, once-proud pack, followed her, trying to sort out their own shock and sorrow.

Banescale, clearly in pain stopped for a moment before he continued fallowing Unculta. Trying to get the raptors attention, he cawed out loudly twice, and stopped, sat for a moment and started licking his wound.
