Fatalis let the pace be relatively slow, not rushing back in order to give Sylicora time to settle her mind, knowing that rushing after such a revelation would cause her to be unsettled and unprepared when they returned....

but eventually they arrived. Fatalis lead forward between th bushes and boulders up to the entrance of the cavern, beginning to descend the steps with a bark to gather the others' attention...

Insurgus snarled as he heard and felt the thumps near. it seemed Nightshade's incompetent brother had found him. still...perhaps there was a chance to use him to his advantage. Nightshade's rule, while helpful, was not satisfactory for the Giga. he wanted more. he wanted the entire island to tremble at the mere mention of his name. he wanted what Nightshade and Crusher had. he wanted more. but it seemed he would have to bow to them to gain such strength. toy with them. try and direct Crusher to his brother....and strike when one had been killed and the other crippled. smirking, the Giga turned towards the source of the footfalls....ready to begin his plan of manipulation...

What he was greeted with was not what he had hoped for however. the trees swayed aside a massive beast revealed itself. but it wasn't Crusher. It was a Giga...or at least, it roughly resembled one. The Giga was large. 60 feet in length. it's body was covered in plates of armour, spikes jutting out of them, quills extending down it's back from the middle of the skull to just past the base of the tail. it's body was made up of reds and browns, looking somewhat like the reflection of water on a flat surface, lighter streaks of red and brown drifting amidst blotches of darker shades, large dark grey pads forming along it's flank, leaving a jagged appearance on the beast's form. it's tail lacked the plates, but boney knobs were still present. the creature's head was lined with thick scales, the top of the snout in particular looking immensely reinforced. the creature's piercing yellow eyes glinted malevolently as it laid eyes on the dark grey tigerstriped Giga, a low rumbling growl coming from it as it stepped out of the treeline, approaching, saliva dripping from it's fangs in long viscous streaks into the lower jaw, large fangs glinting eerily. the heavily armoured beast barreled towards him with an insane glare in it's eyes that unnerved him, but Insurgus stood his ground, widening his stance, preparing for the fight that would erupt between the two predators...

Howler perked up upon hearing the bark and trotted towards Fatalis. "Back so soon?" he hissed.

"And not alone" growled Fatalis with a smile as he stepped aside to let Sylicora pass...

Howler grinned, obviously pleasantly surprised. Spreading his arms he hissed, "Sy, you're okay! Are you--" stopping midsentence, looking embarrassed, he muttered, "Er, um, good to see you, but I think Rhojis needs to, uh, see you more..."

Sylicora looked up from the ground and blinked at Howler, hesitating for a moment, the sight of her packmate reminding her how close she was to seeing Rhojis again. "Uh, hi. Y-yeah, I... think you're right..." she hissed, unable to keep a very slight quaver out of her voice. Glancing in the direction of the cave, she started padding slowly, stiffly toward the entrance, shooting a fleeting sidelong glance at Fatalis behind her, but knowing this was something she'd have to do alone. With a slight, unpleasant jolt, the thought occurred to her that the other raptors could be in the cave, and that she might have to put up with awkward stares and questions...

"Yeah, you do that..." Howler growled, clearing his throat awkwardly. Turning to Fatalis, he added, "So, um, how'd you get her to come back?"

"Putting an effort to make her comfortable. something which you are presently undermining. We can talk about it when this is over. for now, have the decency and respect to keep the subject off your tongue" hissed Fatalis with a wary gaze. the last thing he wanted was for his efforts to be undermined by thoughtless words. Howler could at least have the decency to avoid the subject until Sy had at least spoken to her brother....but then...Howler never did come across as one who was familiar with social etiquette. the Raptor sighed inwardly as he moved further into the cave, making sure to keep a fair distance to Rhojis and Sy, while still keeping close enough to intervene if something went wrong...

Hungry for prey after her long rest, Old One Eye heads out to hunt again, the grizzled Allosaur being extra cautious in case of a larger predator.........

Kronos and Lehra jump the lone Parasaurolophus, killing it quickly. The two of them drag it back to the small area they claimed as home........

The olive female descended the natural staircase slowly, the soft clicking of her claws not unnoticed by the gray, off-white striped raptor in the corner. His whole body tensed, but he didn't move or glance up. Though he had his back turned to the cave entrance, he had heard the familiar voice outside, quiet but unmistakable, and feeling like the bottom had dropped out of the cave, knew exactly who was approaching. "Uh... Rhojis?" she hissed in an uncommonly soft tone, the gray raptor wincing slightly out of nerves. "I... I'm back..." As she stepped off the last rock, eyes sweeping briefly over the cave, he chanced the smallest of backward glances at her, looking away as her yellow gaze fell on him again. There was a pause in which the only thing Rhojis could hear was the gentle trickle of water over rock, then more clicking as his sister took a few steps nearer, though still keeping her distance. "I... just wanted... to say... I don't blame you for... not telling me sooner..." At this, Rhojis slid his head across the floor so he could just barely see her through one tired amber eye. After a few long seconds of silence, Sylicora started to look unsure, one hand gripping her wrist uncomfortably...

The green raptor shot out of the trees, dropping down onto the soil in a crouch accompanied by a soft patter. Leaves rained down around him, sprialling to the ground. Aircrest stood up and cocked his head, listening to the sounds around him. He heard the occasional bird call and the soft droning of insects, a few distant bellows and the unmistakable sound of the ocean. He nodded with satasfaction and thought "Alright, lets try this again"

He trotted over to a thin trunked tree and nestled himself amongst its roots, laying his head on a particularly mossy tendril. He gazed through the shrubs and bushes infront of him, looking at the shore line, intending to take the opportunity to rest.

Rose padded after Hazel, the tip of her tail twitching with barely suppressed eagerness.

Sylicora opened her mouth, but seemed undecided as to what to say. Dropping her gaze, she let out a quiet sigh. "What I did to you and the rest of the pack was... really uncalled for..." she finally murmured. "I overreacted... I just want you to know that I'm not angry at you..." Rhojis' eye now firmly fixed on her, he mumbled almost tonelessly from the floor, "So... I'm not a coward anymore?" Sylicora's yellow eyes widened slightly as she met his gaze. "No! No, of course not! I didn't mean any of that..." she hissed, voice rising slightly higher in alarm. "I know now what I did wrong... and what you did right. You were trying to do what was best, but I didn't look past the surface to see that... And you were right about something else... I wasn't there when it happened... I didn't need to carry the weight of that memory, didn't understand how it felt... If anyone should be mad at anyone, you should be mad at me for acting like a hatchling... I'm never leaving like that again... N-never abandoning family without a second thought... M'sorry for everything..." Her voice dropped to almost a whisper as she trailed off, the olive raptor seeming to wilt as a fresh wave of shame washed over her and she couldn't bring herself to look at her brother any longer. Oh, the trouble she had caused, again. As if it wasn't bad enough to abandon her family once... Silence filled the cave for a few long seconds before it was once again broken by the soft rustling of leaves and slow clicking of claws, though it wasn't Sylicora moving. Still refusing to look up, feeling as though her eyes were clouding, she felt a gentle nudge on her shoulder. "I'm not mad at you... never was," growled Rhojis...

Meanwhile, a few miles away in a swampy section of the island, Lightfot and Goldeye were out standing in a small pond, just twenty or so feet out in the pond. Both Ceratosaurs were busy looking down, muscles tensed as they waited for the right moment to strike. Without warning, both plunged their heads into the water, before yanking them out two seconds later. Each Ceratosaur now had a large catfish in their mouths, before thy swallowed them down. "It's a good thing that there's several large ponds around the cave here... otherwise, you'd haveto rely on Spike and me to get your food." Goldeye snarled a she looked down again, her eyes now fixed upon another catfish that was hiding on the bottom of the pond. Lightfoot didn't respond, but looked back at his infected leg. It was because of the injury that he had recieved from that T-rex that he couldn't hunt normally. Now, he was forced to not move around too much, or else risk too much pain...

After the trek down to the jungle's edge, Hazel put her snout to the air, taking in the scents. She cocked her head as she mulled over where to go, but before long she picked up the Lili's scent trail. She let out a low growl as she changed direction so Rose could keep track as she started to head down to the shore...

Fatalis sat silently, ears strained to overhear the conversation despite it being muffled and quiet, though it sounded as if it was going well...something he hoped...

Eradicus' tail slowly swayed behidn him as he looked at the world below him, keeping his guard up in the case his territory was invaded. The charcharodontosaur was calming down quicker than he'd imagined, but he began to tire himself from what he was doing, and was soon lowering his massive body down to the ground so he could rest for a while. Chopper slowly walked around, saddened just as his younglings begin playfully fighting one another. Snake crashed into Wolfe, who chirped in shock as the other hissed, slowly trying to raise himself from the ground as his sister pounced on him, the two tumbling across the ground...

Rose's pace quickened as she too picked up her friend's scent. It was strange, but...there were other scents mixed in with Switchblade's. If she wasn't mistaken, two males and one female Liliensternus were with her...one of the male scents was faintly familiar too. The other two scents, however, were a mystery to her. She opened her mouth slightly, trying to identify the scent she thought she recognized. A name flickered at the edge of her thoughts, but when she tried to grasp it, it slipped away as quickly as a startled compy.

"Looks like she found some friends, thats good" Hazel growled as she closed in on the scent. "It would've been dreadful getting off that beach alone with no one to go to, huh?" She said, pushing past a small plant in her way

Sylicora nodded gratefully, unable to find anything to say. Her brother's words brought her great relief mixed almost equally with guilt. Trying to blink the clouds from her vision, she hissed in a quavering voice, "R-Rhojis, I promise I m-meant every word I said about never abandoning you and the pack again..." "I know... Please don't be too hard on yourself though," Rhojis growled earnestly. "It happened, and... it's over now... Besides, I shouldn't have kept secrets... From now on, if something important happens, even if it's not pleasant, I'll let you and the others know... sooner than later." Sylicora felt the corner of her mouth pull up slightly in the first half-smile she'd shown since the day before...

Meanwhile, Switchblade was resting in the shade of a clump of ferns, having just come back from pacing a short way along the beach. Haze hadn't yet tried to walk, the weakened Lili finding comfort in simply stretching out in the warm sand, soaking up the heat, and listening to the sounds of the ocean...
