Gaara followed Yoruichi after several moments' hesitation, interested to find out if she had any luck with the first aid kit...

The dark-haired teen knelt to check the cabinets under the sink. She remembered her mother keeping a first-aid kit there in her old home. Maybe Ira did the same.

"Any luck?" said Gaara as he stood in the doorway...

"...Not yet," Yoruichi said, not looking up. Maybe she doesn't have one, she thought as she felt her fingers brush wood. The back of the cabinet. Or maybe she does and it's not here.

"Think Ira would mind if i poked my head in and asked where she kept it?" asked Gaara, a mischievous smirk hinting he intended to do it a little bit more interestingly than it actually sounded...

Yoruichi looked up at Gaara's words, seeing his expression. Then she turned her head back and studied the cabinet door as if wondering if it was worth giving herself the headache now and sparing the others the trouble later. "I don't know," she said truthfully.

"Well i guess there's only one way to find out" he said. "Where's her door?" he asked, arms crossed...

She looked up again, tracing the route in her mind. "Two doors down the hall from here," she said, angling her head to the right, towards the stairs, to show which way she meant.

Gaara nodded and turned, walking down the hallway until he reached the room. not wanting to take Ira by surprise, he knocked...

Ira groaned under her breath as she lifted her head and focused on the door. She'd unlocked it before she'd had her vision. "It's open," she called, settling more comfortably against the headboard.

suddenly, Gaara's head seemed to seep through the keyhole, attached to a long stream of sand, stopping about a foot from Ira's face before saying "Hi"...

Ira blinked, and let her head hit the wall behind it. "Not nearly as satisfying as the cabinet," she muttered under her breath, referring to the muted thud rather than a hollow thunk.

the head seemed to float for a moment, severed from it's stream as the rest of Gaara entered the room, thankfully the normal way, though the lack of a head was no less unnerving, a tan coloured spot where the head was supposed to be attached to the collar-hidden neck. the head floated into place and Gaara smirked. "should i take that as a sign i amused you? or a sign you're frustrated you can't do it too?" he said...

"It's a sign that I really need to get used to crazy sh*t happening," Ira said, opening one honey-colored eye. "I hope you're not in here just to drive me up the wall. Save it for when I'm not injured."

Gaara smirked. "That's actually what i was here about. where do you keep the first aid stuff?" he asked...

"My parents' room, in the nightstand next to their bed," Ira said. She reached behind her neck with both hands and unclasped a thin silver chain that was usually hidden by her shirt collar. Dangling from it was a key. She shook it off the necklace and caught it in her palm. "You want in there; you need this."

"Alright" responded Gaara as he reached forward. though to be honest, he could just as easily go through the keyhole of the other room like he did with this one. he decided not to state that fact out of respect for Ira...he didn't want her feeling he didn't care at all about where he could and couldn't go in her home. he took the key and headed for the doorway, before stopping, looking over his shoulder. "Where's the room?"...

The black pool of ink slipped under a closed door and covered black and white tiled floors. The puddle formed writhing tendrils that wrapped about each other until the canine's body was recreated. He shook himself as if he was trying to dry himself before looking about. He was in a bathroom. He walked over to the toilet and sat infront of it. He growled "So many stereotypes involving dogs and you..." His tail swept back and fourth across the floor, glaring...

"First door before you hit the bathroom," Ira said, twining the chain around her fingers in a nervous habit. "Be careful. My father liked to experiment with his fire in there. Some things might be falling apart." And others might be nothing but ash, she added silently. She'd locked that room as soon as she'd gotten back here. Not wanting to take the risk of the walls falling down around her.

Gaara nodded. "Noted" he said. he headed for the room, stopping at the door and putting the key in, twisting it, hearing the characteristic click of the lock, before twisting the door handle and entering...
