Biting her tongue to keep from blurting out that she wasn't exactly new to knife wounds, she closed her fingers around the handle and gently pulled it from her friend's grip. She slid by him and left the bathroom - as she did, her free hand came up to her scarred shoulder and started tracing the old wound gingerly, as if she could still feel the knife cutting through her flesh.
Ira looked up, fingers slowing to a halt on the keys as Yoruichi came in, kit in hand, and quietly shut the door. The younger teen's lip quirked. "Come to fix me?" Yoruichi rolled her eyes and knelt beside the other demon. "Yes," she said, pulling the key and chain off the handle and giving them to Ira. "Good. We can exchange campfire stories while we're at it," Ira said, taking her necklace and replacing it around her neck. "You first, doctor. Every right not to answer my question, though." She shrugged out of her shirt so Yoruichi would have an easier time getting to the wound. "How'd you get so many cuts?" Ira asked. Yoruichi stilled for a second. Then she went back to what she'd been doing.
"I didn't have the greatest childhood," she said quietly as she worked. "My father abused me from the age of nine. He murdered my mother when she tried to take me away from him...but he carved up my back in front of her first. I've always wondered why I didn't bleed to death then and there." Ira winced sympathetically. "Ouch. Damn..." And here I thought she'd just been in one too many fights, the redhead thought grimly.
