Y'gar's head snapped back. He turned his head to the side and spit out two of his teeth.

OOC: The Sentinals are currently on the surface, within a crater. All turrets and weapons in the immeidiate area have been destroyed so... unless the point defence lasers are flying over them they shouldnt be able to hit them...

Seeing its oppertunity, the Commodant quickly ordered one of the Longbows back in. The ship wasn't too far from the Annihilator, but it was damaged. It drew closer to the much larger ship and rolled onto its side, several doors opening up on its hull. It shot out a series of pods down towards the main crater, providing the Sentinals below with equipment they would need to last out the conflict. Engineering droids and the such. The longbow then turned away, desperately trying to escape the clutches of the Annihilators weaponary and the victories...

Minor combat still gripped ground zero. The pods roaring out of the 'sky' and smashing into the Annihilator's hull, lasers and bullets fizzing over head. A stream of lasers seemingly came from nowhere, striking into the rear of a Sentinal and blowing its engines off, throwing the machine to the ground. An OWL turned to face where the blasts came from, first locking onto the spot they fired from, then searching for radiation trails, finding one and following it quickly untill it locked onto its 'head'

A missile slid out of its chest and quickly launched, blasting into the air and manuevering to intercept the invisible Phantom. The missile suddenly exploded, the phantoms wreck popping into view and spiralling away in flames... There was an interesting amount of gasses around the Annihilator and even a small amount of gravity turning its surface into a miniture planetary battlefield. A red shield fizzed into view above the main crater, one of the pods being a generater. Around it, 3 engineers frantically worked, connecting it up to power sources and removing the pods covering. most of the process was automated but they had to compensate for the lack of earth. A ships hull wasnt exactly identical to a planet. The spherical Engineers were well suited to combat suitiations like this and were primarily designed to prolong conflicts, salvaging destroyed equipment and supporting straggleing fighters.

The OWL's easily dodged most incoming projectiles, anything they couldnt was asorbed by their shields while the TIES, having made no attempt to dodge each exploded, the missiles striking and bringing down the entire wing....

Hish ignored his comment, instead he raised his other fist and then brought it also down upon him.

A hand wrapped around Hish's wrist, iron-hard muscles preventing him from finishing the blow. Elch forced Hish to his feet and shoved him back. "You've got three seconds to back off before I gut you like a fish," he growled, igniting his Energy Sword.

"Oh thank goodness, you got here just in time, I think he was going to have his way with me!" Y'gar said as he laughed and spit out some blood.

"You're not helping, Y'gar," said Elch sternly. "At this rate, Ship Master 'Vadum will need to keep you both locked up."

Y'gar stood up and brushed himself off, "I can't help it, it's just too easy." He replied with a smirk.

Elch deactivated his Sword. "Well, try not to annoy someone who's already pissed at you, whether or not they deserved it in the first place."

Hish looked at Elch for a moment. He side stepped him, standing in front of him, looking down at him angrily. "And who are you? Another Sangheili? You're not the Shipmaster, what right have you to tell me what to do?"

Vak and Kan rounded the corner, walking up to see what was going on.

Elch narrowed his eyes. "I AM a Ship Master, just not the one on this ship. Keep in mind, hunter, that you're still a prisoner. You have no authority here, and neither do your allies. We can easily lock you up again if you keep up your current attitude."

All there Hunters flinched at that word. Prisoner. That did it. Kan made no attempt to stop Vak when he took a step forward. "... Prisoner? Is that what we are to you? ... You're going to call us his Allys? We are brothers you... You..."

Vak turned away, before he said something in his anger. Kan stepped around Elch. All three of the Hunters were now triangulating and surrounding the Elites. Very calmly, Kan replied "You should watch what word you call Hunters... Warrior."

The small drone hovered forward, the four small jets on its back propelling it toward the battle, but remained at a distance. For now, it was studying and recording the destruction of the planet, the aftermath of the initial explosion. The lens-like head was stretched forward on a long neck, which could be retracted or lengthened. The single thin eye was emitting a red light, continuing to record all that was going around it...

Another drone hovered behind the massive ship that was just above a planet's surface, recording what it could see as well, which wasn't much. The drone had been monitoring various things around the planet, which it identified as Vardia, the drone itself too small to be picked up on basic radar equipment, and had cloaking technology, both physical and for advanced radars. The system wasn't perfect, but so far, it wasn't being pursued. The drone powered over to the back of the ship, a small hatch opening on its chest as a small appendage appeared from within, a small laser cutting into the ship as it tried to make a large enough passage into the ship's interior. Its two small legs latched onto the ship to anchor itself, its legs thin, but ended in larger tank-like treads, slowly cutting into the ship with the laser...

Yet another drone powered through the air, legs and neck retracted to allow for move speed, resembling a squarish piece of debris as it neared a large ship in the distance...

"My Lord we've sustained heavy damage right...here. Were about to reach the reinforcments and were moving at full speed towards the Death Star..but their attempting to disable us" The Grand Admiral reported, looking towards the Dark Lord of the Sith who then looked at the damage report of the Annihilator. "Protect the Tartans as they are unleashed from the Destroyers and make sure they get those things off us" Revan ordered. Piett nodded and went off to proceed with the order.

Just then the rescue reinforcements that came directly from the Death Star had arrived..the larger Star Destroyers were too large to directly help the even larger Star Dreadnought but stayed above the planet...ready to unleash their TIE Fighters. Several Tartan Cruisers had arrive along with the Star Destroyers and Victories and began to take poistions along the Annihilator. The Tartans themselves using their small size yet deadly capabilities to get towards the crater and using their 20 laser cannons to pound at the sentinals.

The remaining TIE's continued to spread out and using their laser cannons to aid the tartans but realizing the enemy could strike back meant they had to use their speed and focus on staying alive at the moment..

A shell thundered towards the Reinforcements, slamming into the side of a tartan and detonateing, blowing the craft in two... The Imperials were still within the Ambusher's deadly range and would be granted no mercy.... Another shell or two zeroed in, one thudding into another tartan and blowing its rear apart while the second slammed into the Annihilators hull...

The field shield generator worked to keep the bombarding lasers but it couldnt hold out forever. They needed some serious defence... The Sentinals and engineers pooled their resources, messages flying too and fro. "Engineer needed. Pod automatic deployment malfunctioning."
"Enemy spotted. Engaging enemy fighters."
"Stealth enemy detected. Requesting execution" each one was comprised of alot more than words. Each messaging containing sensor information, diagnostics and coordinates, allowing any listener to instantly understand the direct meaning and disired results. Answers were thrown back almost immeidiately
"Acknowledged. Missile away."
"Reinforcements ready to back you up."

Then came something important
"Crash site of Cruiser Ld-3 spotted. Condition deteriorating rapidly. Salvage levels high"
Ld-3 was one of the original 3 cruisers to breech the annihilators shields, shot down by turbo lasers shortly after the Super Laser had been destroyed. If the engineers could get to it, there was chance its shield generator and weapon systems could be salvaged....

"Aknowledged. 2 engineers and 4 varient-A sentinals required for mission. OWL's required for distraction."
"Accepted, enginners en route"
"Accepted, Sentinals ready for escort"
"Accepted, OWL's engaging enemy cruiser"

The drones all left the shield bubble in a short burst of movement, the sentinals and engineers taking flight and zipping out along the surface towards the crash site, the OWL's rising up to attack the enemy Tartans. The crashsite was some distance away, so the OWL's distraction was vital... They spread out, ready to swarm in on a tartan in the distance....

Coming ever closer to the bubble, the TIE fighter and OWL skirmishes continued. The OWL's much longer range and heavier armour giving them the initial advantage but the TIE's superior top speed favoring them in dogfights. The OWL's only just managed to stay alive using their manueverabilty to dodge life threatening shots.

The several tartans continued to press on towards the crater on the Annihilator and wipe out all the OWLS and drones in the area. The tartans were made to be starfighter killers in a sense as their 20 rapid firing laser cannons often brought down starfighters in rapid succesion and the effect was greater when in groups. The tartans proceeded to fire in rapid succesion and in unity..attempting to wipe out the drones on the surface and OWLS that threated them.

The other TIE's continued to use their speed..attacking in unity for several moments before breaking off using their speed. The TIE Defenders easily distinguished themselves with their speed and firepower, setting themselves apart from the Interceptors and regular TIEs. If they recieved more attention then their lessen their counteparts..things still worked in their favor.

While the Victories and Star Destroyers stayed above the gigantic Star Dreadnought, their weaponry was made soley for capital ships and smaller ship..something as small as a drone would prove hard to hit. All they can do was coordinate instructions, provide data and send more TIES into battle..

"Oh, I'm sorry," said Elch with mock sadness. "I didn't realize. You're not prisoners. Of course," his eyes glinted. "You were, and we can easily make you prisoners again. Now get out of my way. I have business to attend to."

"I do not understand what could have happened here... it just seems as if the crew simply dissapeared. No bodies, no blood... nothing of that sort," said the Ranger into his COM. He and his team were aboard the Irrefutable Succor, they had been sent in to investigate the drifting ship, moments after it almost colided with their's. "Get to the bridge, and retrieve all files from the ship, they could provide useful to us," returned from his COM. Seiga walked through the dark corridors of the ship, wandering with his team, searching for the slightest clue as to what plagued this ship. Eyeing his radar for anything, anything at all... disappointed to recieve no contact. "Would it be plausible to say the crew simply abandoned?" asked one of the elites. Seiga shook his head, "Not a chance... Covenant don't 'abandone ship', nor do we. The one common thing we hold, is that we hold too much honour on our shoulders."
"I don't understand this... where would the crew have gone? It doesn't seem right in any respects."
"We'll find out what happened as soon as we stop at the bridge, it's the only way we'll know."
A third Sangheili chose to enter the conversation, "It could have been friendly fire..."
"No blood... no bodies..."

They pressed onward, now about four dozen meters from the bridge. A beep was heard, forcing Seiga to gaze at his radar... movement. "Quickly, follow that signal!" he barked, running at his best speed, hoping to catch whatever it was they found. They rushed to the end of the hall, and made a quick right. Seiga stopped, his face feeling a terrible burning feeling, and he groaned in pain. "Stay back!" he heard, "Stay back! Stay back, I will not end my life by one of those... things!" Seiga grasped his burn and looked turned to gaze at a lone Kig-yar, wielding a plasma pistol, "A survivor! Please, tell us... who" The Jackal interupted, "I'll incinerate your faces in! Get away from me!" Seiga nodded to the others, giving them the instructions to get hold of the Kig-yar. "Gaaaaahh! Aaaaaahh! Don't touch me, you demons, I won't be like you, I'll die first!" the Jackal screamed, firing it's weapon rampantly, "Find your own hiding place, the monsters are everywhere! Play dead! That's what I did... played dead. They took the live ones... by the Gods, I can still hear them!" Seiga frowned, "Please, tell me... what happened here. We are here to help.
"Monsters... Ahhhhhh! Ahhhhaaahhh"
"Monsters? What monsters, tell us!"
"Just leave me alone!"
"Calm down! Please!"
"Ship Master? Jak? Kak? By the Gods... the demons took them, God, I can still hear them... They are gone! Understand? Gone!"
Seiga sighed, and looked at the others, nodding. The Kig-yar continuing,
"They will not get me! Oh God... oh God I do not want to be like them, please, please no, nooo! No-" it was then silenced by the sound of a beam rifle firing, and his body colapsed against the door of the bridge. Seiga sighed, "Let us find out what these... monsters, are."
"Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it. You know, I just... do things." - The Joker

Kan looked at Elch' blankly. Vak looked at Hish, who nodded. The three Hunters turned, and without a word, walked off to the bridge. Hish flicked Y'gar off over his shoulder.

A laser blast ripped through the shield and slammed into the crater, barely a few meters from a busy Sentinal. The alarm was quickly raised and any above ground drones quickly scuttled down into the tunnels, sitting out the battle. The Owl's were doing a good job of keeping the Tartans busy and engaging the TIE's. The real firepower was coming from long range artillary, blasting shells towards the enemy ships, but it was difficult to predict the Tartan's movements and quite a few shots missed, hammering into the Annihilator instead. The dog fight with the Tie defenders continued firecely... The OWL's were favoring split up fighting, covering each other from afar rather than defending themselves, given enough distance, their missiles could easily set up an intercept route and ensure a kill. The same went for the Disintergrator guns, but were still moderately effective in short range combat.

Then the deepest sentinals finally broke through the last barrier, 3 of the tenticles machines storming into a diserted barracks, smashing bunks out of their way, weapons activateing. The Larger varient-B urban Sentinals got the message and started heading down deeper into the tunnels....
