"Sir," one of the droid pilots said to Grievous, "The commandos are ready." "Excellent. Send them up." "They're already on their way." Grievous nodded his approval. They were quick and to the point, which was a good sign. Soon enough, the doors to the bridge opened and a squad of no less than 15 ARC Troopers. At least, that's what they looked like. They were, in truth, a new type of droid. The Empire wouldn't know that of course. "You know your assignment?" Grievous asked, and the troopers nodded mutely. "Good. When the next attack comes, the Empire won't run and hide again..."

A message was quickly broad cast to the rampaging Sentinels "Return to safe zone. Enemy defence organised. Refortify position and salvage the dead." Instantly, they halted their advance, pulling back from the Imperial bottle necks and fleeing back into their own 'territory.' Any living imperials they found were killed and any damaged or destroyed sentinels dragged back to the safe zone to see if there were any usable parts for the engineers to cannibalise.

Suddenly, the squad of sentinels breeched through to the power source they had been sensing, the two variant-B's plastering the room in gunfire, destroying any resistance in seconds. They quickly went to the doors, sealing them shut with welders... The room contained a single orange globe, hundreds of wires connected into a strange hub holding it up.... The sentinel quickly informed the others "Power source located. Single Solar Generator. interfacing now" The Sentinel snaked forward, tentacles extending out and surrounding the globe, its light illuminating the black machine.... One of its clawed hands snaked in, cupping the globe. Instantly its light dulled... The sentinel interfacing with the device and transmitting to its comrades at the same time

"Sentinel #89-C:Solar Generator is in passive mode, core unshielded at breech attempt. The annihilator appears to be collecting energy run off.
*Commodant online*
Commodant Lb: Make sure its genuine before proceeding.
Sentinel #89-C: *diagnostics running* *complete* Solar Generator is genuine, power potential at maximum. Currently Imperials utilising 40% of maximum output
Commodant Lb: Ridiculous. It must be a duplicate. List its Serial number and ship registration
Sentinel #89-C: Serial and registration missing. Likely deleted from directory. Generator is genuine.
Commodant Lb: Ha! A likely story. The idea that the imperials could get their hands on one is completely absurd to begin with. You are clearly defective. Desist interface at once and replace.
*Sentinel #89-C offline*
*Sentinel #14-B online*
Sentinel #14-B: *running diagnostics* *Diagnostics complete* Solar generator is at maximum power and 100% genuine.
Commodant: What? How can this be? If any Generator went out of Marican control it would have detonated immediately... Salvage is impossible, and no large craft has been lost in recent times to begin with. Do you know how rare they are? Not even the blackest of markets would handle one and no officer in the right mind would have the skill or the cheek to try and sell us out..... Attempt to initiate core breakdown...
Sentinel #14-B: *interfacing with Generator* Negative. Core manual self destruct locked. Remote self destruct operational.
Commodant: *Running diagnostics* *diagnostics searching for A.i. error* *Diagnostics complete* *A.i. of Sentinel #14-B working at full capacity*
By Maricas.... This isn't good... shut down the Generator. Search for any other Marican tech and inform me immediately if any is discovered. Investigate other on board power sources. Either the Imperials have managed to breech our most advanced systems or one of our own leaders had betrayed us. Make no report of this situation to any other intelligence. Do not inform the Orbital of this find.
"

The drones were lucky the Imperials hadn't properly interfaced with the generator. Either they didn't know what it was and had salvaged it, harnessing the radiation run off as a power source, which was the most likely and convenient course of events, or else the Maricans had been sold out, spelling a lot worse for their race...

"My Lord we have confirmation of the enemy having fallen back. We are ready to press the attack" An ARC Trooper simply said, ready to unleash a rather large unit of about over hundred men with several Dark Troopers in a rapid, swift attack, using their numbers and speed to overwhelm the enemy. "However they made it to one of our power generators..the one with a solar generator, we cant allow them to take it..we must press the assault now!" The Arc Trooper added.
"Ready your men a built longer..I'll deal with the enemy in the meanwhile.." Revan ordered in return, activating his lightsaber. The crimson beam shooting out from the beautiful, black hilt. The countless victims to the blade included all sorts of fallen enemies. The lightsaber would have no problem cutting through enemies but he had one last weapon in the force..
The Dark Lord of the Sith began to walk around, away from his allies and proceeding towards the enemy controlled part of the ship, going deeper and deeper, ready to deal with the opposition.

Piett narrowed his eyes..while all of the action was going on, he was fully aware that Admiral Kaine was in hyperspace heading towards a nearby planet. He wondered for a moment on what Kaine may be up too but he assumed somebody like him knew what he was doing. There was very few in the galaxy that can match the firepower of a fully armed Executor Class Star Dreadnought and its escorts. While Kaine was leaving the blockade, this meant the outside colonies could be expecting visits which was no problem in a sense if enemy attacks occurred.

Mal'Ganis looked around, silently wondering about the city's current state, as well as trying to find some hint of their defense. It was foolish to think they were completely undetectable, or had simply not been attacked yet. Something was protecting them...be it planetary shields, or something of the sort. The Jedi used the force to enhance his eyesight, his vision now basically binocular level, studying the outer parts of the city, and yet still found nothing...

Like Kaine, Grievous had sent a TGDA scouting force, which was assigned to find any planets they could use as their own, towards the unknown planet Mal'Ganis was on. The force, made up of around a dozen or so Providence-class cruisers and a single Brawler, were swiftly on their way through Hyperspace, unaware that the Empire was en route as well...

The Imperials at last finally appeared over the planet. There was no readings of enemy forces in the enemy planet but suddenly..long range scanners were picking something up. Something they did not like at all. Kaine narrowed his eyes..as he began to bark orders from his position. The Reaper and the eight other Star Destroyers had to mobilize quickly, they only had several more seconds before the enemy arrived. If anything..the enemy would have been aware of their presence now. Using their arrival to their advantage, the ships proceeded to head into position, ready to fire as soon as the enemy dropped out of hyperspace.

The TGDA rapidly closed the distance to the planet, before finally appearing, practically nose-to-nose with the Imperial ships. Caught by surprise, the ships split in arbitrary directions, trying to buy some time while they prepared for an offensive assault. Orders were also sent by OOM-6 (who was in command of the force) to send down ground forces to, at the very least, establish a foothold on the planet before the Imperial troops did. They would take it over later on, by force if necessary.

An alarm blared in the city. The residents, though having looks of fear, quickly headed into buildings, not at all panicking. Mal'Ganis suddenly grabbed a human by its shoulders, spinning the man around to look at him. "What do those sirens mean?" the jedi demanded, the man only showing a small amount of fear. "Tourist eh? Well, those are sirens for when someone decides to try and take the planet. Just get inside and wait for it to be over." the man said nervously, despite his joking words. Released by Mal'Ganis, the man walked off, as did Mal'Ganis, who headed toward the hotel...

"Sir, several enemy ships have just appeared!" An officer shouted out in surprise. Kaine narrowed is eyes, rather in frustration, but then again..these were Grevious's ships..he would get some revenge "Do NOT engage the enemy ships just yet, send in ground forces just a few miles away from their own and proceed to obilterate them..if they find out about the Jedi were all in deep trouble. Move the fleet to the other side of the planet and do not fire unless they return to fire..our focus is too get our ground forces and secure the planet!" Kaine ordered.

The small task force proceeded to accelerate forward, attempting to head into the other-side of the planet as they prepared themselves to fully engage the enemy forces but they needed to send ground forces of their own to secure the planet and make sure the Jedi was not found by the droids. The Star Destroyers at once began to send large groups of gunships towards the surface along with several large barges..they had to work swiftly..

Large clouds of C-9979 landing craft, which were made up of a small cockpit in the center, and large, finlike wings which formed double prongs on either side of the craft, descended from the hangars of the scattering cruisers. On their wings were 114 AATs and 11 MTTs (each of which carried around 112 B1 Battle Droids in them). Inside the cockpit, which also functioned as a landing pedestal, were small armies of around 88 B1s, B2s, and Droidekas, as well as around 40 OOM Battle Droids to command these forces. These ships were being flanked by larger carriers, which looked almost buslike in appearance as they descended sluggishly through the planet's atmosphere. However, they carried even deadlier cargo than their more common counterparts...

The cruisers regrouped, surprised the Empire had not attacked, but not wasting the oppurtunity. OOM-6 went planetside in his personal fighter, flanked by two more craft, each piloted by a MagnaGuard in order to defend OOM-6 while he went to oversee the ground forces.

Mal'Ganis could hear sounds in the distance, despite the blaring alarm. Something wasn't right, however. The sounds came from both sides of the city, but were completely different in nature. He had no doubt that the Empire was finally here, but the other force was a complete mystery. For now, the Jedi headed inside the small hotel, hoping that the Sith wasn't among them this time, making the small building an even better place to hide...

Hundreds of gunships proceeded to enter the planet surface like a giant wave moving at a swift speed. Imperial troopers were usually much better and deadlier then the B-1 varients..it was the B-2 droids and the Droidekas that would porve to be more tougher to destroy. The troopers clutched their DC-15 Blasters, the long range highly powerful plasma weapons ready to be unleashed. The gunships alone would prove to be devastating enemies due to speed and firepower. Several AT-AT barges were unleashed, carrying the deadly four legged machines of war, they would prove to be very difficult to destroy and with their long range firepower, they were true weapons that inspired fear and proved might. Several other shuttles carrying AT-ST's and Imperial Repulser Tanks would provide backups. Other deadly weapons were being prepared back on the Star Destroyers but for now..they quickly assembled a strong military presence..

Kaine narrowed his eyes as the fleet kept its guns poised at the enemy fleet ready to fire..securing the planet was the main objective..

On the opposite side of the city, OOM-6's army mobilized swiftly. Hordes of B1s, easily outnumbering (though not outclassing) the Imperial Stormtroopers, formed ranks as they prepared to march on the city. They were flanked by large units of B2s and Droidekas, as well as both types' larger brethren, the B3 Ultra Battle Droid and the Colicoid Annihilator, which was feared for its durable shielding and blisteringly powerful blaster cannons, which could pound even an AT-AT into scrap with only a few seconds of sustained fire. Between these units were AATs, Homing Spider Droids, Hailfire Droids, Tank Droids, the larger varieties of Crab Droids, towering Tri-Droids, and Advanced Dwarf Spider Droids. These deadly vehicles all formed up in their own groups, ready to march on the city, and the Imperial soldiers that were no doubt waiting for them. Hovering overhead, they also had Droid Gunships to provide them cover from long-range assaults. OOM-6 and his bodyguards were near the rear, near their parked ships. At a, "Roger, roger!" from OOM-6, the entire army moved forward as a whole, with the Gunships watching the flanks for any possible ambushes. Small patrols on STAPs, as well as Droidekas, pushed ahead to scout out the city early on.

Suddenly, two tank like vehicles dropped out of sight among the droid army, in their place only a massive hole in the earth. Below, the distant sound of a roar echoed faintly, drowned out by the marching army....

OOC: Could be last post for tonight

"It seems the enemy has found themselves on the other side of the city...that city will be reduced to ruins at battle's end" A captain said, looking towards the general. Proceed into the city and take cover.. be advised, we have ARC Troopers on the ground, ready to deploy and secure the Jedi should be found in the city. Advance the army..be wary of our flank, reinforcements will arrive if required.." The General commanded. The captain nodded. The General however stood in one of the AT-AT's flanked by other AT-AT, the giant machines of war ready to fire as they began to slowly advance but considering their long range of several miles..they easily could have unleashed their devastating attacks in a matter of moments. Repulser Tanks and AT-ST's advanced to help with the infantry who moved in squads and spreaded themselves apart..there was no need to directly sprint to their deaths. Above..gunships proceeded to drop of their cargo before preparing to act as their secondary roles as attack craft again enemy infantry and such..

OOM-6 kept his army pushing onward, towards the city, where whatever had just happened was less of a threat. The Droidekas and STAPs now patrolled the city, more worried about Imperial scouts than anything the planet had to offer. The Droidekas had already positioned themselves in specific areas, in their walking mode, shields deployed, ready to fire on anything that came into view. OOM-6 had assigned a Trandoshan Commander, Corrsk, as the leader of the scouting force, with his own bodyguard of Trando mercs and Elites to protect himself from any ambushes. He watched shrewdly near the edge of the city as the scouts spread throughout the place, smirking. "This fight will be all too easy..." he hissed.

One of the AT-AT suddenly fell forward, its back legs disappearing under the earth. Suddenly, a large claw pierced straight through the AT-AT's hide, pulling back underground as it collapsed the other half, causing the AT-AT to fall down into the gigantic pit. All over both armies, holes both big and small were appearing, most lacking the devastating effect of the first two, but proved how unstable the land was...Anything larger then a tank would be in a minefield of disaster...

Fortunately for much of OOM-6's army, their main vehicles were either extremely fast for their size, or hovered above the ground, where it wouldn't collapse underneath their feet. Mostly only Homing Spider Droids and Tank Droids suffered heavy casualties. The rest of the army continued, mostly unharmed, to the city limits, where OOM-6 ordered them to stop. They waited for an attack force to hit them first, before trying to push their way through the buildings towards their foe.

"What the **** is going on!..halt the advance of the AT-AT' and send them back!" The On-Field General demanded to know what was going on but the unstable ground was starting to make it obvious. The AT-AT's had to fall back and if they continued to fall..they would be forced to be evacuated. The army continued to advance however, large groups of swift AT-ST's and swift moving, hovering Repuslar Tanks continued to press forward towards the city. As the Imperials advanced, out from the sky, a massive barrage of missles was unleashed..a massive group of gunships being the first to attack..large groups of gunships with their deadly payloads could easily decimate large armies in the open..

one of the orb like engineers glided through the corridors of the Annihilator, clutching the mangled carcas of a Sentinel in its nano tug, an orange beam spreading out and wrapping around one of the Sentinel's arms. It dragged the wreckage into a corner, twisted it around and then glided away. While it appeared to be a normal wreck, the engineer had found its optical sensors still active. It had installed a temporary power supply within its damaged one with enough juice to last if a few days and then connected it up to the network once again. The result was a Sentinel capable of doing nothing but staring forward and maybe glancing around. It wasn't as subtle as a spy camera, but it was the best the engineer could find. A good few of these wreckages were distributed around the abandoned corridors, mainly placed at choke points. The machines were ripping up the flooring and doors in rooms they didn't want the Imperials using, forming a glave shape of traversable routes. If the imperials wanted to attack quickly, they would have to proceed down one of the arms, connecting to the main sector, or the centre of the glave, via reinforced doors which had been hastily repaired by the engineers. Any of the sectors usable electronics had been wired up to the drone's network, such as doors and cameras that had been left intact.

Meanwhile, the drones in the generator room cautiously removed the Solar generator, detaching all of the wires at once. It was as if a massive emp pulse had just ripped through the ship, all of the surrounding sectors instantly blacking out and most of the other lights dimming slightly....
