Space E-war

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

With the last of the Imperials and droids slain, the beings began to recede from the city...and soon, they disappeared underground once more. All but the jellyfish creatures was now gone...Mal'Ganis knew he wouldn't be able to leave as long as the creatures were in the air. Regardless of invader or native ships, the creatures would attack any aircraft that they found...It was safer to stay on the planet until they left. Mal'Ganis lept down from the roof, landing in a crouch as he bolted off toward the hotel...

"Those were Annihilator War Mechs. they're among the most powerful types of mech in our arsenal" said the Commander as he walked out of the lift as it came to a stop. as the doors opened, a hallway was revealed. at the end of it was a door, behind which was the Officer's quarters. inside was a medical facility for various degrees of injury, a cafeteria, a training area made up of a close quarters melee section and a shooting range. above the entrance were two paintings, one of a red haired man in dark navy armour and robes, with golden filligry and decoration built in. he was wearing a tall collered cloak, lined with golden filligry, which came down to the ground behind him, barely touching the ground. he had deep brown eyes, acting like windows to a wise, compassionate soul. he was young, but his gaze alone was enough to show he was a person of great wisdom. the other was of a silver haired man, the front raising off his head in upside down V's, coming down at the sides of his face, framing the eyes between them. his eyes themselves were rich golden orbs that had a hawk-like look to them, an intense look in his gaze, hinting towards his immense focus. he was wearing form fitting black light weight combat armour, which seemed to be made up of long, body encompassing scales, similar to the stomach of a snake, though along the middle, the armour gained a bit of a groove, which ended in a blunt point, extending downwards to the next plate. this single plate split into two at the top of the chest, between which was the VAMCEB logo. over the armour the man was wearing two trenchcoats, one very light and thin, pure black and the other thicker, black, with a white bottom, the white area at the bottom of the coat reaching up in streams towards the top, fading halfway up. on his shoulders were a pair of 3 piece shoulder-guards, a three black spots forming a triangle where each of the intersections between the parts were. on either side of his armour was a sword scabbard, and in his hand, was a long, 8 foot long black sword, with a red edge and a jagged red line above that, a thin black line seperating the two. the man had the tip of the blade pointing downwards, a good 3 feet of it buried in the ground where the painting was drawn. the man's chest was adorned with numerous medals, and was obviously of really high importance in the Vardian Empire...

Crowley was about to ask what the Annihilators were capable of, when he saw the Officer's Quarters. "D*mn, that's fancy..." One Marine muttered. "Who're those two guys? That one doesn't seem like much of a soldier," said Romero, pointing at the pictures, particularly the red-haired man.

It didn't take long for the Malevolence and the scout force to arrive at Trandosha. "I will be in my quarters," said Grievous. "OOM-6, warn me of any approaching attackers immediately." "Roger, roger." Grievous turned and left the Bridge, heading down to the main hangar, and to the Soulless One.

"That is his Majesty King Aleron, the Monarch of the Vardian Empire. Don't let his appearance fool you, he's a very skilled fighter himself. he was one of our leaders in the civil war to overthrow the Empire that used to rule Vardia" said the Commander as he slowed...

"And the other is, I'm guessing, the current leader of your military?" asked Crowley. "He sure looks the part."

"Indeed. that is General Serephir, our Supreme Commanding General, Commander of the entire Vardian Armed forces, and General of Vardia's Elite Infantry division, the VAMCEB. the sign on his chest is the VAMCEB insignia. he is the one responsible for solidifying our first Alliance, actually befriending the leader of the TGDA personally, and forming the alliance between our factions. he's also the one responsible for eliminating the Flood during an attack on the TGDA, though he was helped in achieving this by the Elites and the TGDA faction head, General Grievous" said the Commander. "General Serephir has been our military leader since about two thirds of the way through the civil war about 11 years ago. he was originally a General for that empire, but after seeing the atrocities that his side was causing, defected and joined our cause, crushing the empire in a matter of months" he added as he walked, the door ahead of them opening, inside revealing a fairly luxurious room considering it was a military ship. the room was carpeted, white walls contrasting with the dark blue carpet and reddish, wood-like tables, though further inspection would reveal it was steel painted with a special paint to mimick wood. the room seemed almost deserted, as they were on duty at the time. several hallways led to different parts of the area, one saying Medical Facility, the other saying Officers' Cabins, a third saying Training Quarters and the fourth being a black plaque with gold writing on it, over a pair of double doors in front of them, reading Officer's Lounge...

"Cool..." said Jones. "Grievous, huh? Sounds like a nasty guy." Romero snorted. "Eh, we could take him." Crowley ignored the two Marines, instead looking around the room in amazement. "Reminds me of the Trafalgar's lounge room..."

Grievous had landed at the spire on Trandosha, known as Vassek, or "Lizard's Fang" in Trandoshan. He was on a lift, down to the lower levels. The spire was mostly luxurious, but not here. It was much more dark and cavelike, with a perpetual fog along the floor at times. As the lift stopped, grievous walked down a hall lined with statues of Trandoshan warriors with prosthetic limbs, all in battle poses. Grievous opened a large door to another room, this one with all manner of parts, specifically for Grievous' armored shell of a body...

the Commander chuckled as he overheard th two soldiers, heading straight, into a large Officer's Lounge, furnished with white leather couches and chairs which were heavily welded to the floor, rendering them utterly immobile. tables were placed in front of each couch, and a few drones whirred around the room, small smooth edged square machines with binocular-like heads attached to short hydraulic arms, a single black lense on the front of them. "Greetings Commander" came a voice through the speakers in the corners of the lounge. "Computer, bring me a few drinks please. get me some water for the gentlemen, and send in a Drink Droid to serve them other things should they so choose". "Immediately, Commander" said the voice of the Lounge Computer. the Commander sat down in one of the chairs, gesturing towards the couches as he said "Please, take a seat"...

The Marines poured in, fighting for seats on the couches and chatting amiably. Crowley rolled his eyes, smirking. "I'm just glad I get paid as much as I do..." he mumbled, picking his own seat.

"Well well, look who's back," said A-4D sarcastically as Grievous walked in and lsat down on the edge of the operation table. The cyborg growled, "Shut up and fix this, will you?" He turned to show the droid his slashed back, and A-4D clucked in disapproval. "You really need to use more Bodyguards, Master. Don't worry, this should be fixed in a moment." Grievous grumbled to himself, but said nothing as A-4D slowly hobbled away on his stiff legs to find a clean back plate for the general.

Mal'Ganis flopped down on the small bed, the door shut to the small bedroom, the Jedi immediately closing his eyes to rest. His senses were still heightened, on the off chance that reinforcements arrived to attack the planet once more, but for now, he relaxed. The light coming in from the window was less the normal, blocked out by the swarm still moving above the city. Slowly, sounds once again drifted into the bedroom, the city's inhabitants returning to their original duties, rusty repair drones heading off to fix the damage done by the invaders...

The Endeavour cleanly swooped out of the clouds above the murky city, the short glimpse they got of the streets showing them packed with shoppers... Thara watched their progress from the bridge, seeing the space port coming up ahead. Hundreds of ships were landed there, stretching off into the distance.

The spaceport officer's voice came through the com "Righty righty guys, I see you... set 'em down in space 212.." Thara glanced through the window, searching for the spot. When he saw it he quickly tapped Jarmun's shoulder and said "No, ignore that" he said into the com "We want a different spot, one away from the corner" The officer chuckled and replied "Fine fine fine, take no offence, you guys looked like tourists"

Thara smirked and responded "No problem, but don't expect a tip"

He glanced at his confused crew and explained "If this place is anything like where I grew up, which it is, the corner spot ALWAYS gets vandalised the moment it touches down.... You park your ship, look away for one second and then boom! Suddenly it has "I AM THE KING OF NO PANTS" all over its hull....."

The Variant-B sentinel shot out the last support, the catwalk plummeting nosily down to the hanger below, bringing up a torrent of sparks. Its weapons aimed at the doorway beyond, waiting for whoever was following....

The Dark Lord of the Sith rapidly dashed following after several moments, found himself facing the new sentinel. Revan clutched his lightsaber, his merciless sith eyes staring through his mask towards this foe. His anger was starting to grow even more..he was starting to come into realization what just happened between his men and Grevious but he had to deal with the sentinels and reclaim the solar generator..

"So," began Crowley, crossing his legs and sitting back, "I'm guessing you want to know exactly what happened to us?"

Grievous sat, hunched over, a shower of sparks spraying into the air as A-4D used his Arc Welder to replace the final armor plate on Grievous' back. "Are you almost done, A-4D?" "Patience, Master. Just one more... done! Now then, you shouldn't be moving around too much for a couple of hours, to make sure the plates fuse properly..." "Yes, I know. We've gone over this procedure how many times?" "More than I care to remember, Master. You seem to enjoy leaping headlong into a fight without thinking first, don't you?"

Blaze chuckled. "I remember doing that to someone's limo once. nobody ever caught me. drove the police nuts for a few days before they let it go and paid the man for the paint job" he said as he leaned against the wall. Jarmun continued to fly the craft over the area, keeping it at a near hover as he waited for instructions on a landing spot. Jarad was busy in his room gearing up, so that he had what he needed for when he went planetside...

"Yeah, more or less. just tell me what happened, from start to finish" said the Commander as a number of Drink Droids levitated towards them, coming to a stop in front of each of the marines, glasses of water on the trays on their heads, waiting for the marines to take their drinks. a final Drink Droid floated over to the Commander with a glass filled with a fizzy, golden liquid in it. he took it and took a sip from the drink, before setting it down on the table. the Droid then floated over to Crowley, a small shaft opening within the tray, another 2 drinks being produced from inside the droid, one being water and the other identical to the one the Commander was drinking...

Serephir found himself on a balconey, looking down at a fark red chamber, in the middle of which was a man in golden robes, dozens of other men in the chairs below the balconey, as the man spoke to them. "Brothers! today, we gather to punish those who have insulted our Lord, those who have tainted us with their actions. Before you stand two fools who have worked on incriminating and accusing embers of our divine order, to get them imprisoned by the jailers of the wrongful Vardian Monarch. they have spoken of our divine presence in the past with distaste, and have damaged our followers' faith in our purpose. for that, it has been decided by Lord Velenar, Prime Lord of Sardan, that they are to be punished. the sentence is...DEATH" said the man in Golden Robes as two people were thrown into the room from a side door, a large, muscular man in black robes walking out, armed with a scythe. It took all of Jack's Willpower not to call out and try and stop them, But Serephir's presence was enough to keep him from going that far. the Vardian General looked at Chardossk, hitting a button as his helmet split and folded back into place, almost unnoticable. "Make sure Jack stays safe. the last thing i want is to bring his parents back to find someone's shot him" he whispered...

The officer got back on the com and said "New spot opened up, number... 14... Right by the office. Please enjoy your stay yada yada yada, you get charged 150 K's every rotation your down. Organise security yourself."

Thara grunted and said "That reminds me, have your weapons with you. No need for your suits but its handy to carry some firepower..."

"As if I would leave this ship without them," chittered Arqueek, twitching his whiskers. He may not have been a stereotypical Skaven, but he was still paranoid, and this planet didn't exactly seem very friendly.

Crowley, as well as the rest of the Marines, eagerly accepted the drinks, and Crowley took a sip of the golden liquid, smacking his lips appreciatively before beginning the story. "Well, we had been sent by UNSC High Command, or HIGHCOM, to the colony planet we call Conga, in this galaxy. It's one of the first planets we've successfully gained ground on so far. Anyway, en route, we were intercepted by some sort of organic ship, which immediately attacked us. We managed to fight it off, but it had sent these weird podlike things at us, which managed to puncture the hull and release those aliens into our ship. At first the entire crew simply panicked and fought for their lives, but I managed to get everyone under control after the Captain was killed. We holed up in the Bridge, picking off any creatures that decided to attack, and made a blind jump into Slipspace, to try and find a way to get rescued. While we did that, we learned that the aliens communicated by some sort of natural telepathy, used by the Warriors. We always had to worry about that d*mn Carnifex, though. He kept attacking our scouts, so we couldn't do much until we exited Slipspace."

Chardossk nodded, keeping a close eye on Jack, ACP Repeater clutched tightly in his claws. To be honest, he was disappointed. He wanted to do some fighting, not stand around and wait for the fight to come to him...

Revan was aware of the gap that led into the hanger below as the robotic foe stood on the other side. The Dark Lord of the Sith however wouldnt be stalled so easily. The man backed up for several moments before leaping force, using the force to enhance his abiltities as the man flung in the air, lightsaber in hand, ready to impale the sentinel before him..

The Varient-B quickly fired, blasting a blue GPC round right at the Sith lord. Thankfully, the Variant-B was made of tougher stuff. He wouldn't be able to just cut through this one as effortlessly as the last...

Akiba didn't say anything, too busy looking at the planet itself. It was a nice place to start, he assumed, otherwise Thara wouldn't have brought them here. Regardless of his motives, everyone needed cash, it was the cruel truth that dictated the universe. Suddenly aware of his random depressing thoughts, Akiba shook himself out of it, once again staring at the planet below.
