Meanwhile, the man awoke after a short time, still positioned behind the foliage. Confused, the man attempted to get up, feeling a wave of pain originating from his head. A headache, but no other problems, as far as he could tell. Try to piece together what had happened, the man immediately concluded that he had been mugged, quickly reaching for his money and credit cards, finding both undisturbed. Now very confused, the man stood up, ignoring the headache as best he could as he returned to the path...

...The same man, at the same time, now stood outside a small restaurant, looking into the building almost uninterestedly. After observing the people inside for a time, the man moved forward, opening the door and stepping inside. The hostess near the entrance welcomed the man, who strangely said nothing back, still looking around the restaurant with a look of subdued amazement. The hostess gestured for the man to follow, leading him to an empty table near one of the large windows at the front of the building, occasionally calling for the man's attention, as he continually looked around the building. "A server will take your order shortly sir." the hostess said as the man sat down, the man not saying anything back, though by now the young women already knew he was a tad odd, and didn't expect a normal "thank you".

The man, now alone, stared at the table in front of him, seeing a few bread stick appetizers given with every meal. The man looked from the seemingly foreign objects to the others eating in the restaurant, watching as they bit off portions of the objects, and seemed to enjoy it. Mimicking the action slowly, the man held a piece of bread in his mouth, confused as to what do next. Trying to swallow the piece, the man found that the object was now stuck, though it didn't seem to affect the man much, looking around for any clue as to why the others were lodging bits of these things into their throats...

Sometime later in the late afternoon, the hero reached the thinning outskirts of the city. There was just the last line of houses before the start of the woods. As he made his way down the straight, he jumped, his blurry form shooting into the air and over the buildings, clearing the backyards entirely. The boy came down through the tree tops, leaves rustling as he slipped through the limbs of the large plant before landing on a branch, which rocked a bit. As leaves rustled and some fell to the ground, the hero stepped off of the branch, falling to the ground with a thump, before shooting off towards the clearing. It was the only place the alien could have landed without the chance of some randomer bumping into it. The boy hoped his aquaintances could keep the secret, though. He didnt know them well enough to put his complete faith in them...

After observing the others in the restaurant, the man found a solution to his problem. Just as his server approached the table, the man coughed very loudly, the piece lodged in his throat shooting out of his mouth. The server watched as the piece of bread landed across the restaurant, staring at the area for a few seconds before looking back at the man. "...Sir...? Are you...ok?" the server said, concerned that the man had been choking. The man, however, simply stared back at the server, saying nothing. After a few uncomfortable moments, the server cleared his throat. "...Uh...anyway...what'll it be, sir?" he said, lifting up a small pad and paper, ready to take the stranger's order. The man said nothing. After a few more awkward moments, the server finally gave up. "I'll give you a few minutes to think about it..." he said slowly before walking away, shrugging at a coworker after he was almost out of sight. The man, meanwhile, was inspecting the bread, as if trying to figure it out...

"....Gal?" SpeedFreak messaged his alien partner. He was braced against a tree, waiting for the tell tale gust of wind to signal the craft's descent. He thought an alien space craft might as well be the only thing that could keep pace with him. "Guess Im too quick for him" The boy muttered to himself, shrugging.

He couldnt have been more wrong. Ignoring the comment, Galaak closed in on the strange energies his scanners had picked up. It belonged to an entity...biologic...but its bio-signs were completely different from anything else on the planet. It didnt even share common biological make-up. So, the only logical thing the alien explorer could assume was "Another alien...?" He mulled over the thought. Another alien being on the planet. Another explorer? Probably. Thats the only reason the Ascatian could come up with as to why any advanced race would be so far out in this galactic region. Perhaps, this explorer had parts to spare, parts Galaak could use to repair his interstellar drive. If luck would have it so, then half of his objectives on this polluted rock would be complete. The ship, still cloaked, swerved over the restaurant, hovering over an alley way. It descended slowly, so that the craft was just above the roof. The spiral entrance opened, the beam of light shining down. The suited alien slowly drifted to the ground. He had left his bolt gun back up at the ship, to avoid a panic at the weapon. The sheathe however, was still strapped to his back, the blue orb seeming to be a decorative jewel. Galaak walked out of the alley and turned the corner, walking to the entrance. The people around him stopped and stared as he pushed the door open, the shocked face of a woman greeting him...

The man looked up, seeing that the other customers were all looking at the entrance. Putting the bread down, the man turned toward the direction of the commotion, chewing-awkwardly-another piece of the substance in his mouth. The man looked back down at the table, not exactly seeing what they were staring at, picking up the bread stick once again...

The visitor made a sweeping gesture with his arm as he passed through the crowd that had formed around him. He preffered not to let them know he could speak... the less they knew, the better. For all they knew, he was just a tall person...with a strange suit. This city was over run by mutants wearing strange things, it wasnt that weird. Then again, none of those mutants wore a suit of nano-armor. By now, Galaak stood infront of the man, taking note of his haphazard jaw movement. Uncomfortable and uncertain. This was probably the explorer's first time intergrating with society. The Ascatian took notes of the read outs that popped up in his field of vision, symbols streaming across the visor. The energy source was coming from this human... but the alien knew that was no normal man...

The man continued to chew, far past the point where he should've swallowed. After a few silent moments, the man held up a bread stick toward the suited individual, offering it the food while he attempted to figure it out...

Galaak took the offering as a means to set up grounds for communication. He held the food up to the orange visor. Its form was high lighted as the alien did a search. The read outs were replaced with a description of the Earthen appetizer, written out in the strange green symbols. He turned his head to and fro. The patrons of the restaurant had stopped eating. Some feared that there would be an attack, but didnt dare move to avoid being struck down by gun fire or the likes. The aliens gaze then fell back onto the strange man. The mouth peice of the helmet split and moved apart, revealing the alien's mouth. As he searched what the object was, his suit had also scanned the food, finding that it didnt have any chemical hazardous to his health. With that, the Ascatian placed the bread stick in his mouth and bit a peice off, chewing. His first taste of Earth food...

The man watched the alien consume the object, his normally blank expression growing slightly annoyed. "Fn'tagn na'grh kht'ha nht'kt-" the man spoke, clearly an alien language, which sounded as if it was being pronounced by a squid. Some patrons of the restaurant seemed to cover their ears, the sound of the words actually somewhat painful to listen to. Seeing this, the man stopped speaking, mouth closing, as he stared down at the table, perplexed.

Galaak stopped eating, expression taking on a more thoughtful tone, though it couldnt be seen. The helmet closed back over his mouth with a soft click. This being, obviously alien, didn't know the Universal language, a common dialect spoken across the galaxies united under the Galactic Alliance. The chances of it being an explorer-and with it- the chance that he would get the parts needed for his ship's repairs- started slipping away into oblivion

The man looked up, expression once again blank. "You are not like them." a voice echoed inside the mind of the alien. The man finally swallowed the piece of bread it had been chewing, slightly surprised that it actually didn't get stuck...

"And neither are you" Galaak replied with a thought. He had met telepathic beings on his many trips through space. By now, carrying conversation through thought was almost second nature to the Ascatian. "What is your kind called?"

"That is irrelevant. There is no equivalent name in your dialect. You would not understand." the voice answered, as the man reached for another bread stick. "They stare at you...why?" it asked, though the man himself didn't seem, at first glance, actually in a conversation.

"They are not aware life exists.... elsewhere in the universe" Was Galaak's reply. "They have barely stepped into the realm of space travel and have yet to make formal contact with another sentient race"
By now, there were frantic phone calls to the police, the people in the restaurant fearing for their lives. They took advantage of the strange person's inaction. A server slowly approached the tall being, a broom in hand. He didnt exactly know what he was going to do with the broom, but he thought the silent man who sat at the table was in danger, and he was going to try to help...

The man lifted a hand, the end of the broom snapping off with the gesture. "I see..." the voice replied, the man standing. "Might we continue this discussion...elsewhere?" it added, looking around at the wide-eyed people surrounding them.

"That would be ideal" Galaak replied, nodding. "Follow me" He added as he turned around. Instead of a crowd behind him, the way out of the restaurant was clear. Everyone had made a mad dash to get away from the two when the broom was suddenly broken, even the would-be hero...

The man followed after the alien silently, once again ignoring the panicking individuals around them.

As he made his way out of the restaurant, Galaak had gotten to his wrist device. Again, the holographic sphere was projected, the Ascatian remotely moving his ship about the building. He got to the door, moving an arm to push it open while the device was covered up by the suit again. Stepping out onto the sidewalk, there was a hiss of air from above as the craft's entrance opened, light envelopping him as he rose off the ground...

The man, expression still blank, mimicked the alien's actions, stepping into the light to await entry into what he assumed was a vessel of some sort...

Before long, the pilot was back in the craft, along with the other alien. The entrance closed and the light disappeared, along with the weightlessness. Wordlessly, the Ascatian made his way back to his consoles. He sat down in his chair, tapping in a command. One of the ship's walls split apart into four's, each part swinging out as a seat moved into place, locking in place against the wall. It was almost couch like, with a deep laiden, puffed out seat basically built for lounging around. "Have a seat" Galaak offered with a thought
