Space E-war

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

After the SHADOWs dispatched their enemies, they immediately moved off to search for the blockades, focusing all sensors on the space around them, as well as searching for any sign of movement. Now that they had confirmed enemy presence in the area, they did not spread out through the area, instead staying within sight of each other, the machines outstandingly effective when in large numbers....

A great wave..thats what one may describe it. Perhaps more then one thousand ships suddenly arrived in a great spread out fashion. The ship masters of each ship widened as they saw the defense fleet guarding it. The Cypher had done its job of confusing and inflicting damage to the enemy but now it was time for the Imperials to unleash their full strength. The Imperial Fleet began to press forward..guns warmed up as they began to pick out targets. Pilots were entering their fighters, getting ready to deployed. The Imperials were closing in..ready to engage the droid fleet in close combat..

"All units, for the Empire..Fire at will!" And so the ships did..but there was no sign of the Death Star..

The Cypher replied, his tone sharper "There is no time. When this is over, Revan will be alone. Chances dictate he will not support my actions, considering their nature. You on the other hand are smart. Aid me and my cause when I call for you and in return I can grant you technological assistence against your enemies and help bring the TGDA out of the constant war that consumes it. You have seen the things I am capable of. Keep this proposition in your head, General, for your opinions will change for good or for worse. In the end it is all the same. You will see sense. Goodbye."
The Cypher immediately cut off the Com link, not risking any more time. The Arachnid and the Ambusher's all turned, leaving the area, the Longbow and its escorts returning to their hiding spots....

The Jr-10's arced around, the targeted one being pock mocked with impacts but still carrying along in formation, they went to face the Brawlers, forming a circle and expanding out, weapons lightning up and firing, casting lines of auto-cannon rounds and gpc bolts into the larger ships..

Thara spotted Arqueek, casually walking over to his friend and leaning against the stage, whisspering "Hows the catch?"

Trandosha's planetary shield absorbed the punishment from the imperial fleet easily, as the shield was capable of taking a direct hit from the Death Star's superlaser. The fleet waited, knowing they had advantage, for now.

Grievous watched as the ships dispersed, then chuckled. "Very well, Cypher, I'll take your word for it..." He was suddenly informed the Imperial assault on Trandosha from OOM-6. Reactivating his droids' audio receptors, he barked, "Send the message! It's time we showed the Empire just what General Grievous, and the TGDA, is capable of!"

Arqueek rummaged through his pouches, saying, "Well, mostly just high-grade electronic devices, but I did find this..." He pulled out a large, shiny, black crystal. "I think someone mistook this piece of cortosis for something just a bit less valuable!" He didn't know much about cortosis, other than the combination of its malleability and incredible hardness made it extremely expensive...

The Brawlers fired another volley, this time mixing their ion cannons into the barrage, letting their powerful shield absorb the enemy's fire. Another mine flew out of the cover of the asteroids, detonating in one cruiser's face.

The Arachnid suddenly turned around, the ambushers continuing on their course though... One last message reached Grievious "Brace yourself."

Two of its arms lit up, the tell tale blinding light of an ion-cannon bursting out of them. Two beams suddenly surged out, clapping into the Malevolence's shield. Waves' of white rushed across the shield as its outter layer vaporised, the wave ending half way...

Another of the Arachnid's arms trundled around, its tip begining to glow a bright blue....

Thara held out a hand, squinting and saying "Cool... Can I see it?"

The Jr-10 was blown into a death spin, one of its arms being shredded off by the blast, flames enveloping its hull. Still, the drone didn't die, leveling out and taking pot-shots at the enemy ships. The others roared forward, maintaining top speed, sticking to avoiding enemy shots instead of lining up their own...

Grievous held onto a console as the Malevolence shook. He growled, "take evasive action! Charge the ion cannons!" The gargantuan ship began moving, its down, but all of its systems still working. The two ion cannons began charging a telltale purple, ready to fire as the Malevolence moved down and forward, trying to get too close to the Arachnid for it to use its second shot easily. Grievous also ordered the ship to open fire with its turbolaser batteries, and a wall of red laser energy flew towards the enemy ship, pounding its shields.

The Brawlers did little to dodge their opponents, mainly because it would have been in vain. One eventually gave way, its shields collapsing and its hull beginning to buckle, but the ship didn't let up, intending to take at least one cruiser with it.

Arqueek handed the cortosis crystal to Thara. "Go ahead. It could net us quite a profit, you know."

Thara tossed it in the air, feeling its weight. He handed it back and hissed quietly "Hide it. we'll sell that independently later. Here come the kids.." Sure enough, two koultian teenagers were making their way across a nearby roof, wearing grey tattered clothing, rucksacks bulging...

One of the JR-10's took the advantage, spinning to the side and cork screwing over the brawler, as it did so, its main plasma laser flicked on, a blinding red beam stabbing into the larger ships hull, slicing through it, the cruiser continuing in a corkscrew around the larger ship, its proximity keeping it out of the enemy ships range. The rest followed similar tactics, weaving in and out of the enemy formation, often taking flight paths that would lead the enemies guns into the risk of hitting their allies. The damaged one took an ion cannon bolt to the head, the bolt piercing through the armour and bursting out the end. Flame and angry sparks of electricity swirled around the breech, the ship starting to wobble before losing all stabilisation and spinning haphazardly towards a Brawler...

The Arachnid's shield's simply took the incoming turbo laser rounds, letting some pass through its wide shield if it was certain they wouldn't hit. The glowing arm rotated around the main head like some obsurce piece of clockwork, locking into place with a jolt. Its end suddenly flashed, the dome at the end of the GPC spinning open, a massive ball of plasma and gamma rays being hurled out like a comet.
The shot screamed across space, closing the distance and hammering into the Malevolence's shield. For a moment it looked like it was about to penetrate, then the ball collapsed a wave of what looked like blue fire rolling out around the shield a slow motion explosion following in its path.

The Arm rotated away, another one taking its place. the top of it slowly reorganising itself a long gun barrel taking shape at its end....

The Arachnid's main weapons were all based at the tips of its massive limbs, shorter ranged ones located along their mid section with the bases devoted to engine power.... It was cycling through its long range weapons, working away at the Malevolence's shields...

"Fire!" Grievous barked. A wave of purplish, electrified energy surged out the right side of the Malevolence, slamming into the underside of the Arachnid. Using the distraction to his advantage, Grievous immediately jumped into Hyperspace, trying to escape rather than fight...

Arqueek, nodding, putting the cortosis in his vest. He looked up at the teenagers, then casually glanced up at the sky, patting his bulging pockets with his paws.

The Brawler moved out of the way, and the wounded one spiraled towards the Geonosian atmosphere, exploding upon hitting the dense asteroid wall. The explosion made a temporary hole in the asteroids, and a swarm of mines surged out into the battle, exploding immediately, catching a couple of the remaining Brawlers, as well as at least one Jr-10 that flew in too close. The sheer size of the combined explosions would most likely catch any other cruisers that continued their current flight paths as well...

The Arachnid's shield begun convulsing, purple energy flowing up it, the entire shield fizzling red... Arcs of electricity blasted out of its hull like lightning, the electrical shielding doing its best to discharge the effects of the weapon... Still. What ever the blast had done, it wasn't going to stop it from attacking. Even as the Malevolence left, the cannon aligned itself. Bursting into rapid fire. Its muzzle nothing more than a flash. Wasted plasma shell casings spat out the side of the cannon. A hailstorm of shells sped after the Malevolence, managing to enter its hyperspace slip stream.... The gunfire suddenly stopped, a thick cloud of smoke left around the weapons muzzle, slowing dispersing...

The teenagers leapt off the building, landing into the crowd casually, walking over to Thara and Arqueek with a visible swagger in their stride. Thara said grufly the moment they were close "Hows your haul?" The kid replied with a wry smile "Fantastic, yours?" Thara shrugged and responded "Pretty good, all considering. Where's your fence?" The teenager turned and waved them on, saying "Come on, follow us... She welcomes new blood so no worries"

He and his friend turned, pushing through the crowd. Thara glanced at Arqueek and then started following them...

A siren sounded in the distance several booms echoing through the air followed by cheers....

The Jr-10's quickly took evasive action, the unlucky one being shredded by the blast, the main of the ship being torn in two and its limbs being ripped away like the legs of a spider. The craft begun exploding violently, its reactor completely fried....

When the Malevolence exited Hyperspace, in orbit over an grayish-white planet, the shells followed, slamming into the massive cruiser's weakened shield, draining it completely. One shell grazed the hull of the craft, leaving a deep cut in the plating and making the ship tremble. Grievous growled, "Give me a damage report!" "Minimal, sir," replied one of the pilots. "We lost a few turbolaser batteries, but it's unlikely to have any lasting detrimental effect." Grievous, however, was still fuming, confused as to why the Arachnid suddenly turned and attacked them, and why the Cypher even bothered to warn him...

Arqueek followed after the teens, whispering to Thara, "Their fence?"

The Brawlers regrouped, retreating behind the asteroid field of Geonosis and waiting for their opponents to attack them again. For the most part, they would be safe behind the asteroid field, simply because of its density.

Thara replied quietly "Unless you plan on setting up a stall on the street and selling this stuff ithere's no other way to turn it into money. A fence is really just a black market trader. They buy stuff without asking questions about where it came from and then its their business what happens to it."

The Jr-10's broke off, having no intention of pursuing the Brawlers. They were just as happy to continue reconing the situation as opposed to dueling it out with the enemy ships.....

"Sounds good to me," replied Arqueek, only pausing long enough to pat his vest pocket to make sure the cortosis crystal was there.

Sun Fac thought about using his planetary turbolasers on the Jr-10s, but thought against it. They weren't much of a threat alone, and he was confident they could handle anything the Empire decided to throw at them...

Thara took a sharp corner, following the kids into a crowded market street, numerous road side merchants flogging their goods. The kids took another turn, dissapearing past a stall selling ornaments and into a small shop, through a bead curtain entrance... Thara hesitated before continuing, looking back at Arqueek...

Joey proceeded cautiously... His Invader was suspended low above the ground, trying to keep off the horizon so he could try take the jamming station by surprise...

Though the closer he got to the rocky lip above him, the more anxious he got about what was lying in wait... The ground was dull and lifeless, all vegetation seemingly burnt out of it, smoke could be seen wafting into the air in some parts but most disturbing of all was the jamming signal itself... This close to it, not even short range communications would work, leaving him completely alone and without the advice of his team mates... He only realised now how dependant on them he had become... His audio sensors were giving off strange, alien vibes..... The sway of the tripod slowed. joey pulling up on his cyclic, bringing the tripod higher...

Then he saw it, the confusing view of a city, deep down in a valley, pock marked in fires... Dark and dusty winds whipped up around his view screen, the murky sandstorm clouding out most of the city from view....

He rolled his finger across a touch pad, the view screen instantly magnifying the city.... It didn't look like any fighting was going on, chances are the city had already fallen to its attackers, whoever they might be.... Then he saw what looked like a dark metal fist close around a heavily damaged sky scraper, jagged rungs of metal folding over like fingers... Out of the hazey cloud, a long jagged spire seemed to hoist itself up along the 'fist', closing around the building and blocking it from view....

Perplexed and confused, he zoomed in even further, examining what was going on. Then a blinding white glow burst out of the strange spire like construction and instantly Joey recognised what it was.... A mass converter... a mobile unit to be percise.. One that was generally supposed to be mounted on wreckage, the converter would use the wreckage to finish its own construction and therefore save space... But this unit was much bigger than any he had ever seen before... and why would the Brass want to simply destroy a city like this.... From his position, he saw more of the towers rise up out of the clouds, the dark jagged metal structures consuming the dying city bit by bit.... He saw a few other similar buildings, but didn't recognise any of them, only the mass converter... He set a new heading, the Tripod lurching forward, striding down the hillside towards the city....

Arqueek glanced at Thara once, then walked into the shop, paws in his pockets. He hoped they wouldn't start anything...

Thara shrugged and followed Arqueek in, eyes quickly adjusting to the Dark. Inside just beyond the counter was the fattest, ugliest human he had ever seen. Short hair and bulging eyes with a face that looked scarred by at least 10 different diseases. She barked "Goods on the table now! Lets get this done quickly" The kids turned out their pockets and opened the bag, dumping all manors of stolen merchandise on the counter.... This was the first time he had a good look at them. Their human friends were outside, only the koult ones had come with them. They were obviously poor, their fur twitchy and at end, their clothes like collages of 8 different wardrobes...

Thara reached into his pockets and his bag, drawing out his finds and placing them on the table as well. The kids had more, that was clear, but at second glance, alot of their loot seemed damaged or broken. He and Arqueek were supplying quality goods....

Arqueek dumped out his pockets, being careful not to accidentally pull out the cortosis crystal. He eyed the teens' wares curiously, wondering why they had gotten broken or damaged things. Obviously not the best at this... he thought.

Heading towards the same shop was a pair of ungainly, but rather unfriendly-looking insectoid aliens, which scuttled slowly forward on four legs, the rest of their body similar to that of a TGDA Droideka. Even stranger, a droid commando marched behind them, and most in the crowd gave them a wide berth...

In the village of "Galitraos", a fairly large building with aged green stone walls and a thatched roof lay in the center of the small province. It was a low economical area, it being remote and isolated by mountainous terrain. Inside the building, a bustling bar and restaurant was a fury with business and movement. The chatter of all sorts of beings was heard about, and sometimes the rambaunctious drunken laughter of the few that had too much to drink. A cloaked figure sat at the farthest end of a bar keep's line, a few drunk grey skinned ape like creatures next to him wearing short sleaved black fleeces. One howled "And I asked him- what smells like blue paint but's not blue pain-" Another let out an angered bellow, smacking him across the face. "That joke is as old as the bloody sun!" The first ape creature punched the other in the jaw before grabbing his head and slamming it into the table, the cloaked creature ingoring the commotion. Suddenly, the ape that attack first shoved the other into the cloaked figure, causing him to stumble from the stool he sat on, and making him spill the drink in his glass. He hissed "You better appologise" The ape snarled "Or what?!" The cloaked figure said nothing. He picked up the fork that was on the wooden table, stabbing it into the large fried grub on his plate, chewing shortly and swallowing, before snarling "Or this!" Four quick jabs were thrown by the black hooded figure before he upper cutted the ape. The snarled, rubbing his lower jaw before throwing a punch, the hooded figure jumping to the side, his right arm going for his left leg, his hand clasping around the hilt and drawing a weapon, a bladed staff. The ape bellowed, charging the 8 foot tall alien, he slamming the hilt into it's stomach, stopping his, then swinging the staff, the blade raking across the ape's arm, it screeching, the figure landing a square round house kick into the stomach aswell, the ape stumbling back, tripping over a stool that fell over, hitting it's head hard, knocking it out. Eyes of the patrons looked at the ape, then at the figure sheathing his weapon, he growling to the bar keep "Sorry about the mess, put any damages on my tab" Before taking one of the three fried grubs on the plate on the table, taking a bite of it and walking away from the site, cassual and relaxed. The village was almost lawless because it was so remote, and unregulated space ports meant almost anything can find refuge there, and thas exactly why Kystion was there...

The woman quickly rummaged through the goods as they were put down, examining each one and pushing them to the side with expert speed and a keen eye. She finished, scouring over the last item before grunting "I'll give ya 300 for the whole lot. Take it or leave it." One of the teenagers reached forward coolly, picking up a a small circular device, flipping it open. He said with a hint of amusement "ehhh, hello? Portable planetary observation suite, worth at least 250 in normal trade routes, I won't accept anything less than 75 for this baby alone." She took the device in her hand, a hologram of the planet popping up, before flattening out, the image magnifying right down onto the street they were on right now. She growled, eyes flicking up "Fine. I'll give you 70" The Koultian shrugged and reached out, taking it off her. She quickly added "Ok ok, 75" He shrugged again, sneering "Changed my mind." Her voice rose, fists clenching "85. Take it or leave it."

The young koult grinned, handing the device back to her. He sneered "Now, I'm not happy with the rest of it either. Don't give me that 'hard to sell Stolen property' bullsh**. You know aswell as I do that you slash the price by 10 chits and the next passer-by is gonna be throwing money at you the moment they're sure it works."
The gargantuan human narrowed her eyes, going back over the items on the table. One of her eyes flicking up to stare at the two Adults occasionally, oddly out of sync with the other eye.

Alpha Class Advanced Recon Commandos...the best of the best of the Imperial Military. Just like their countless brethern..they too were cloned but they were better..stronger..faster and much deadlier. They were given deadlier training and only the best made it out. Their unaltered minds gave them the ability to think and act on their own..they had a sense of reason..they had emotions. Their own armor made them standout but with good reason..this gave them their own idenity..and now..I'm stuck with some who personally served Revan..great" The captain shook his head slightly as he watched three elite A-ARC Troopers converse in the hanger from below. His opnion of the legendary troopers was quite obvious. The captain proceeded to walk along the walk way..thinking..fully aware of what Revan was up too.

While the Dark Lord was at battle..the Imperials remained on the watch. Only then was a small task force consiting of a single Imperial Star Destroyer and several other cruisers to check out a large planet which showed plenty of promise to land on. Probes were sent a few days ago..

The captain turned and heading towards the bridge. "Captain..we've jumped out of hyperspace and were orbiting the planet right now" The words came as soon as he had appeared. It was if an officer sprouted there and had a single purpose of just telling him his response. The captain nodded as he walked on forward, looking at the planet through the open view window. The ships were to land at the planet surface and set up a base and wait for reinforcements..

The fleet itself consisted of one Imperial Star Destroyer, one Venator Class Destroyer..3 Accalmators and 4 tartan cruisers. The fleet itself proceeded to press onward..heading towards the planet surface at once.

The two aliens abruptly walked in, followed by the droid. Arqueek looked over his shoulder as the two aliens settled down in the corner of the shop, crossing their arms, and the droid looked around warily. "They don't look too friendly..." he whispered to Thara.

Carrsk and his envoy of three Providence-class Destroyers, 2 Munificent-class frigates and 5 Recusant-class Light Destroyers made their way through Hyperspace, on orders from General Grievous to find another planet to colonize. "Hopefully this one doesn't have dangerous natives or Imperials..." the Trandoshan commander growled as he stood at his destroyer's bridge. Truth be told, they were much more prepared this time, with a squad of droid commandos to help them and Trandoshan mercenaries to make a better fighting force (though they were still backed up by some droid types, mostly more advanced and dangerous ones).
