Space E-war

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

The woman looked up from her work and shouted angrily immediately "Who are you and what do you want?!" her eyes seemed to bulge even more, her face taking on a beetroot colour.

Joey continued to scan through the city as he got closer, trying to make out anything else other than the mass converters. He thought he had seen something move a moment or two ago and didn't want to risk checking the video feed while it still might be around... Then he caught another sign of movement, quickly zooming in. What he saw was two dual muzzle plasma cannons, barely visible in the dust. The cannons went off noiselessly. Before Joey could even trigger his detonation shield, the tripod shook like it had been flung down a mountain. His main view screen burst into static, his external cameras showing flame clouding the outter shell. Alarms roaring into life. Joey struggled to bring the faltering machine under control, much harder without proper visuals... one of his view screens came online again, showing the chaotic outside, trying to get a fix on what ever shot him as well as providing support for the stabilisers. A massive domed head materialised out of the haze.. the tell-tale glow of an Ion-cannon blocking out most of its features. A white beam seared forward. More shaking, horrible wrenching of metal, then the external camera came on. The tripod stumbled back, one of its legs falling away, severed. The tripod lost all balance, tumbling towards the ground, crippled. Joey blacked out just before it hit the ground.

Within the space of 10 seconds, two plasma cannon shells had ripped through his shield like paper before slamming into his hull, one going off in the upper section, completely blowing his shield generator apart, the other having struck into a key motor and taking out his main stabilisers. With such massive damage like that there was no way he could have kept the machine going. The ion-cannon slicing one of his legs was the last nail in his coffin.

A long worm like ship snaked through space, entering low orbit over a dust bowel world... It was a drone, its green interface scanning over the planets surface, a wealth of information about its target popping up on screen... "Target name: Draenor
Defences: Unknown
Indigenous species: unknown
Threat level: 0

Commencing Seeding
"

Two massive purple wings stuck out of each of the Worm's 'shoulders' giving it a dragonfly like appearance
Large circular engines around the wings and its tail propelled it forward, the mile long ship dropping into the planet's atmosphere....

The Imperials ship's managed to land on the planet surface..cloaked to any enemy senors..they werent exactly sure what they would find on this planet but they had more then enough men to do with an enemy army. They had to be very careful considering recent events. The men in charge of the Imperials here was Captain Mal and General Tien..

Tien appeared walking through the ship's corridors before entering a room..looking at the room full of elite Imperial troopers..none other then the Legendary ARC Troopers. "ARC Troopers..you are the best..the elite. We cannot be sure what exactly will go on but whatever happens, you will remain a valuable and key role..remember that" Tien simply stated. The ARC's slowly nodded..fully aware of their importance..something they took pride in as Tien left.

"Lock and Load" Fordo said. Fordo was easily one the deadlier ARC Troopers due to his expirence and abiltities and he earned his rank as Captain. His love for his duel blasters were with good reason as he was known for his swift draw, near perfect aim and unmerciful attack. "This is good..their using power from the Star Destroyer to generate a small yet powerful force field to surround our ships. As for the army..their already outside and setting up defenses, seems like their expecting something" One of the lesser ARC's responded.
"I'm not surprised.." Fordo replied as proceeded to leave the room as the remaining ARC Troopers loaded up what weapons they needed and began to leave as well..

The desert planet that was Draenor seemed to stir, the sands shifting suddenly all over the planet. At the landing of these strangers, the planet itself seemed to be angered, but in actuality, it was the beings that lay beneath the sands...The tunnelers were the first to notice this threat, yet they did not attack...yet.

The smaller of the two aliens chittered, "We'll tell ya when yer done with yer customers..." The other one didn't reply, giving the others in the shop a cold look.

As Carrsk's fleet exited Hypersapce in orbit around Draenor, the Tradnoshan immediately ordered them to land. As the ships began their descent, Carrsk scanned the planet's terrain. There didn't seem to be anything hostile about it, other than the desert-like surface, but they could easily handle it...

Fordo and his platoon of ARC Troopers left the Star Destroyer as they took note of the all the ships that had landed. Defensive turrets were being set up as supplies were brought outside and opened up. Imperial War machines were beginning to appear but the Imperials stayed inside of the force field. Fordo took a good sight of everything as he placed his wrist comlink towards his face. "General..what's the situation?"

"Were deploying several scout units. Speeders will search at least five miles from our base. North, South, East and West..those are the destinations. Keep your men ready..I'm sure I'll need your services soon enough" The general responded.

Fordo nodded. "Damn..I hate desserts..remember that time in Tattoinie? damn rebels..Revan was about to use the Annihilator to fry Mos Eisley and the entire continent itself for that matter. But of course..he changed plans and went on personally and we went with him..lost alot of good men during the siege.." A ARC Trooper responded, armed with a massive Sniper Riffle. He was called Rex..

Fordo didnt respond as he watched several speeders leave the forcefield and into the dessert for recon. "I got a bad feeling about this.." Fordo said lowly as he shook his head slightly and then walked on forward..

Carssk's ship landed on the surface of the planet, while the rest of the cruisers stayed higher up, though still the atmosphere. Carssk immediately sent out all the ground troops to secure thew area, which was close to 500 or so Trandoshan mercenaries, including several dozen heavy mercs. They began setting up missile turrets and quad laser turrets around the perimeter of the makeshift camp, defending the area until they deployed the droid troops...

On the destroyer's bridge, Carssk hissed, "OOM-224, go on out there and have your squad assist with the defenses. I'll have the MTTs prepped and ready to roll soon." "Yes, commander," the commando replied, turning and heading out of the bridge with his squad of droids.

"What in hell just happened!" barked Seiga, his carbine still held in offensive stance, "What was that!" The ranger looked at each if his elites, "If any of you have even the slightest clue! Please, inform me!" The elites remained quiet, there was no answer... not a single one, it was simply impossible for them to recall what killed their squad mate. The rangers stood still, all returning Seiga's stare. "I suppose your silence says it all..." responded Seiga, his angered and frightened expression hidden behind his harness. "If I may, commander," started Huga, "I would really wish to suggest we move on from this event... for in my own personal opinion, I request we depart from this ship," the ranger turned his gaze to Erdu's lifeless body, "And as much as Erdu was a dear friend to us all... if we stay, we'll obtain the same fate." The sangheili grunted in agreement, and Seiga sighed, "I agree... we proceed onward, and shall return to the ship..."

The halls and corridors of the Irrefutable Succor were drenched in fear and unease, the rangers drowning in their thoughts of death. The clanking of their feet disrupted the silence. They watched their radar as an owl hooked on prey, never taking their eyes off it. they had been headed for the hangar, where they're boarding craft was stationed... their only ticket out of this hell hole. They stopped for nothing... not even to save a straggler, this was a matter of life and death, even pausing for a moment could lead to their death, for they were not dealing with a creature of empathy or moral, no... whatever was aboard this drifting ship, was something savage, something barbaric, something never before encountered by the Sangheili... and possibly the world. They pressed on, the remaining four of Seiga's squad, they were close, very close; however, what was four rangers, soon became three. For a moment or so, the missing comrade was unnoticed, Seiga finally turning his back to check up on his squad. He halted, and so did the others, "Hypta!" Seiga barked, "Hypta!" The elite gazed beyond the squad, seeing the ranger, frozen in place, a deep stare fixed on something. "What is it!" Seiga barked, "We have no time for this!" The ranger kept his stare, and slowly lifted his finger, pointing it towards something, "Commander... please come." Seiga sighed in aggravation, and lifted his carbine, rushing towards Hypta, the squad following. "What is it?" he asked once more, "Tell me Hypta." The ranger stood frozen, and left but a single comment, "...look." The ranger turned his head, gazing into what was supposed to be a mess hall... but no longer was it a cafeteria, no... it was something horrific. "By the gods..." whispered the ranger, "What is this." The squad was silent, staring into the disturbing image which was the mess hall, the walls and pillars all covered in a thick biomass of some sort, strange egg-like objects scattered across the ground, covered in a thick layer of mist... but what was most disturbing, was the hundreds of Kig-yar and Unggoy bodies, which were ever-so-neatly plastered to the walls. Each individual, covered in the slimy biomass, each one unconscious. The hall reeked of a disgusting odor, the scent strong enough to make you vomit. "By what demon was this created? What monstrosity would have the audacity to create such a thing as this?" remarked Huga, his stare fixed on the poor souls, "This is not natural... this is not right... this is simply sickening." Seiga sighed, "All the better when this ship is destroyed. Come now... we must leave this place."

The elites had begun to move on, however Hypta remained frozen, never had he seen such a disturbing image in his life, of all the war and bloodshed he had seen... never had there been something as sickening as this. "Hypta," began Seiga, "We must leave now..." yet the ranger kept his gaze, only this time, it seemed to be focused on something different. Seiga sighed once more, "Hypta, we must go!"
"Look! One has awaken!" yelled the elite, running into the hall. "Hypta!" barked Seiga, as he and the squad chased after. They ran through the hall, running over eggs and slimes. Hypta stopped and stood still, the elites stopping behind him, "What is wrong with you!" yelled Huga, "Why must you stall us!" Coughing could soon be heard, and the all of the elites' attention refocused towards the source, one of the unfortunate individuals on the wall. The jackal coughed, trying to speak, "Please..." Hypta began to rip the biomass off, "Let me get you out of this mess!"
"Please ki- ki..."
"Please what?"
"Ki- ki- kill... me"
Hypta stopped, dumbfounded, "Kill you?!"
"Please! Kill m-"
The jackal began to shiver, it was trying to catch its breath, the coughing returned. Hypta stared in awe, as well as Seiga and the others. "Kill me!" screamed the jackal, "Kill me!" Hypta stared at Seiga, confused. "Kill me! Kill me! Please kill me!" The jackal began to scream louder, now as if in pain, and the elites had no idea in how to respond. Hypta began to pull off more of the biomass, "Calm down! We are here to help you!" The jackal's screams became louder, "Please kill-" but they were silenced by a loud crackling noise. Hypta stared at the jackal for a moment, confused in many ways. The screams returned, and the crackling grew louder, grew more painful. In a moment, too quick to retaliate, blood shot from the jackal's chest, the blood spraying on Hypta's harness. The ranger recoiled backward in shock, and watched the jackal in awe. The screams grew weaker, and sounded more or less like moans of pain. The body twitched ferociously, the kig-yar's chest spraying blood in all directing, it grew disfigured. The elites continued to stare... they were confused, what was going on? The jackal's screams stopped, and the blood calmed, Seiga sighed, slowly approaching the lifeless body in curiosity. He examined the jackal, more interested in the chest, wondering what in hell happened to the poor soul. He heard a faint noise, it sounded something like... like a squeal. Seiga listened closely, and in a heartbeat he was sent back by a loud squeal, the chest of the jackal exploded, and emerging from this inside, was a small creature, looking similar to what they had encountered earlier. "Open fire!" screamed Seiga, and the squad bombarded the creature with gunfire. The animal's screams echoing throughout the hall. "Hold!" Seiga barked, the squad halting their weapons, "That is enough! We are leaving now!" He soon began to walk off, but was halted by the sound of squirming. "Commander... listen!" whispered Huga, the squirming getting louder. Seiga cocked his head up, and listened. "It's nearing..." said Hypta, "They're nearing." The hall erupted in beeps, for the elite's radars were going off rampantly. "Commander! We're surrounded!" yelled Huga, "There numbers are unbelievable! 30... 40... 60!" The squirming continued... but no enemies were seen. The radar was going rampant... but not a soul was in sight. The squirming soon turned to hissing, and Hypta lifted his head... and hell broke loose.

Something in the sand ahead of one of the speeders stirred, sliding down hill to reveal a small cat-sized creature in the center. The creature had a large canister seemingly attached to its body, and walked on spider-like limbs, scuttling in front of the speeder. Before the trooper could react, the creature was hit by the speeder, which was soon engulfed in a grenade-sized explosion....

The remaining imperial speeders quickly broke off from their formation before spinning around and watching the explosion, "The hell just happened? what did he hit!" One of the troopers asked in confusion. "No time for questions! accelerate and fan out..were heading towards the mission area regardless..command we'll get the idea" The lead trooper of the group said as he then spun his speeder and accelerated on towards..the others had no choices..

Meanwhile back at the base...

"Fordo..we've just got confirmation..one of the speeders hit a mine or something... take your platoon and the gunship..do some investigation" The general stated. It was rather quick to send the ARC Troopers but if anything..the general knew the ARC's were the best and they preferred missions anyway. If anything..this planet possibly was full of hostile contact.

The ARC Troopers boarded up on their own customized Imperial gunships the gunship hovered above the ground before acclerating towards the explosion which was several miles away..

The woman snarled in distaste, reaching below the desk and hauling out a gigantic rifle, the weapon clipped onto her arm from the elbow down, liquid coolant bubbling down the its length. Its scope flicked on with an eerie whir, the lens illuminated by a green backlight. She shouted "You will tell me now or you will be still picking your brains up off the floor when my customers leave!"

The Seeder roared through Draenor's atmosphere, riding just above the clouds like some sort of magnificent sky train. Its insect like wings moved around in a rythmical spiral pattern, being part of its anti-gravity system, a relatively new technology.... Once again, more details about its mission floated across the machine interface, recording its actions... "Planetary basic scan complete. Foreign communications detected.
Jammer online.
" The Seeder activated its notoriously powerful Jammer, instantly severing any ground to orbit communication link. The jamming waves circled the globe in the sky, meaning they didn't disrupt ground communication but anybody on the ground trying to contact their fleet or vice versa would have a much harder time...

The droid raised his rifle in response, but the larger of the aliens hissed,, making the droid stop, though he still kept a bead on the woman. Clipping his smaller companion about the head, he scuttled over to the counter, glaring at the woman. "We would prefer not to express our... habits to outsiders, except when necessary. You will find out what we need when there are no others here. Am I making myself clear, human?"

One of the strange aliens appeared to emerge right out of the slimy ceiling of the mess hall, screeching as it fell on top of Hypta, pinning him to the ground and opening its toothy jaws, revealing another, smaller set within...

The walls and ceiling seemed to spring to life, and the aliens seemed to emerge from everywhere, hissing and screeching furiously as they swarmed towards the Sangheili squad...

She snorted in amusement, hissing "Crystal clear" her words were punctuated by a silent beep as the weapon's aiming laser turned on, a red dot appearing on the aliens head.... She added "I am conducting private buisness with these fine young gentlemen. Either tell me who you are and what you want, or wait outside and come back in when I am done here..."

Thara watched on anxiously, backing a way ever so slightly... He knew how easily arguments like this could explode into shoot outs....

After a long pause, the alien backed up. "Very well..." The smaller one hissed, "Why don't we just eat 'er, and get it over with?" The larger one snapped, "Silence, eka, or I will kill you right now!" The small alien paused, then nodded. They both turned and plodded out, chittering to each other, and Arqueek arched a brow. "Um, well... I guess we got that out of the way..."

She slammed the weapon down on the counter, causing it to shake. Grumbling, she took a calculater like device out of pocket, keying in some numbers. The device beeped and two plastic cards shot out the side. She flicked one towards Arqueek and another towards the kids, grumbling "There, 185 chits each, now get out of here." The teenagers did just that, quickly scampering away out the door, hoping to get away before she realised she over paid them... Thara quickly followed suit...

Arqueek followed Thara, accidentally bumping into the smaller of the two aliens, who were standing outside. Stumbling back, Arqueek apologized swiftly, scurrying past the angrily chittering insect. The large one watched them leave, then walked in, followed by his compatriot and the droid. As they walked in, the alien hissed, "Do you have anything... edible?" The small one grinned, antennae flicking excitedly.

The alien nodded and walked off, hissing to his subordinate, "See? You don't always have to eat through everything in your path to get what you want, eka." "That doesn't mean we can't..."

A fleet of 50 large MTTs floated across the desert ground, stopping near the defensive turrets. Hatches on the front of the transports opened, and droid racks, each one carrying around 200 B1s, which they swiftly dropped off, before leaving and going bak to the dropship that had been carrying them. As the droids activated, they began moving about, following orders they were getting remotely from Carrsk, from his position of the cruiser's bridge.

The gunship consiting of the ARC Troopers landed near the wrecakage. This wasnt some accident by the looks of it but perhaps a weapon was the reason. The ARC Troopers were careful..fully aware they could possibly be in a hostile situation. Fordo narrowed his eyes through his helmet..if they werent being welcomed..they were obvious going to be in a fight..
