The Trooper didn't let up, immediately pouncing forward again to keep Galaak up close and personal, where his weapons would be less effective. The front weapon of the drone began to glow blue as the air around began to distort, the drone preparing its MOAR while sending precise stabs and swings at its Ascatian target at very close range, trying to injure, disarm, or at least disorient its opponent...

Selk chuckled at the cowering human, firing his pulse cannon again now that he had control of it again. The blast scattered Mortum's debris shield, allowing a short burst of chaingun fire to smack into his chest, sending him stumbling backwards...

Mortum growls, almost bestially, in pain, before he stood straight back up and countered with a blast of dark energy before rolling to the side, preparing another blast of energy. He would ensure this thing is destroyed, even if he is maimed or killed....

Galaak sent himself into another roll, the robot's attacks soaring over him as he moved around the drone and stopped just off of its side. Swiftly, he sprung himself backwards to put distance between himself and his target, firing his rifle as he did.

Selk got off another pulse blast before the dark energy knocked him back a few more steps, letting the missile-like projectile do its work...

The Cephian Trooper was remarkably fast, jinking and turning as Galaak dodged its attacks, before zipping to the side, dodging the Ascatian's own rifle fire and firing the MOAR. A concentrated blast of blue energy rocketed towards Galaak at high speed. If it hit, he'd be frozen solid and good as dead if the Trooper got its tentacles on him...

As soon as his feet touched the ground, Galaak leaped to the side once more, the freezing blast shooting past him hitting the wall across the street. A cover of frost appeared on a glass screen, spreading forth with a faint cracking noise as the ice clung to the screen. A Sapphire explosion went off a few feet behind of the drone as E-doch fired one of its cannons. While firing directly at would put the ship's captain in harm's way, the force of the explosion flung the trooper away and scrambled some of its systems, the Ascatian just barely diving out of the way of its trajectory...

Damaged, but far from beat, the Trooper staggered to its "feet," or, more accurately, its tentacles, and screeched at Galaak, firing the rapid-fire MOAC at him. The weapon would be significantly more difficult to dodge, and the drone circled as he fired as well, keeping the Ascatian in his sights and close to him, to make sure his ship didn't fire another potshot. Troopers weren't made to handle orbital bombardment...

Galaak reached out with his free hand, his palm facing the first of the icy spears flying at him. It promptly reverted back into a liquid, along with the others fired at him as Galaak spun on his heels to face the trooper. The quantity of water spinning around him grew and grew with each shot before Galaak ultimately sent it all at the drone at once, a spray that coated its body before freezing over, locking it in place...

Seeing the attack having no effect, the Trooper swiftly stopped firing and leaped away as the spray was launched at it, the drone toppling to the ground as one of its tentacles froze and shattered. It scrambled quickly back onto its tentacles, charging towards Galaak. As it leaped, however, another shape slammed into it from above, sending it back to the ground. Kala pinned the struggling Trooper to the ground, before viciously stabbing it through its large, blocky head with his armblades. The adamantium cut through the Trooper's thin armor with ease, slicing straight through the drone. It struggled and twitched for a moment, before letting out a strangled cry and going limp. Kala stepped of the Trooper's wrecked body. "I kind of wanted to see how you handled it on your own, but I got bored..."

"Well then. Did you get bored of fighting that?" Galaak remarked dryly, gesturing the Devastator. "Or do you still want to see the native handle it?" he added, clearly annoyed.

Kala brushed it off. "Don't worry, our little friend here is just what we need," he said, picking up the wrecked Trooper by its remaining tentacles. The body was emitting a quiet beeping noise that was rapidly picking up. "See, Trooper have a delayed self-destruct mechanism to prevent them from being captured if damaged," Kala explained, hefting the bulky drone. "And a delayed explosive is just what we need to bypass the Devastator's shields." With a grunt of exertion, Kala picked the bleeping Trooper up and began to spin a few times, before suddenly letting go. The Trooper sailed through the air and out the alley, only to crash to the asphalt and skid the rest of the way towards the Devastator... just as the delay ran out.

With a terrific bang, the Trooper exploded, engulfing Selk in a searing hot fireball that completely disintegrated the Trooper, leaving nothing left. The Devastator suit was sent toppling backwards, landing on its back with a loud thump. However, Selk was very much still alive, and the suit was operational, if only at a fraction of its former strength. The bulky suit flailed sluggishly as Selk attempted to pick himself up, and Kala chuckled from his hiding spot in the alley. "One more explosion like that ought to take care of him..."

Galaak was silent for a moment, before putting the Arc Accentuator on his back again. He then entered a command into the wrist device. Shortly afterwards, E-doch's aperture opened over a spot a few feet behind the two. Instead of letting down the bright beam of the Gravity Manipulator, it released the droid. Its limbs were folded up into its frame as it fell into the alleyway and landed with a dull thunk. The two sections of the spherical torso released with an audible click, now able to spin freely of the center that held the entire thing together. The droid rolled forward to Galaak's side before its arms and legs sprung forth and the 'wheels' snapped back into their locked state. "I am in need of something inside of you my mechanical friend..." the Ascatian murmured as he stepped in front of the droid. He parted the two panels that were on either side of its one eye, revealing the various workings that he had put inside not too long ago. He then took the bladed staff and inserted it into the robot, who stood resolute even as sparks jumped off of the weapon's tip within the chassis. Before long, Galaak had gutted the explosive mechanism he had installed, but without the robot to trigger it, the bomb would have to be fired upon and one of the plasma capsules ruptured in order to activate it. That was if he could get it onto the battle suit at all. Galaak put the Zerelion back on his back and took the bomb out, the two shells and energy cell bound by a belt of gray metal. "I believe this is what we need" he to Kala, the droid closing the two open flaps that exposed its innards...

Mortum released his energy blast to counter the Devastator's attack, keepnig it from hitting him, as he noticed the monstrous mech tumbled onto its side. Not caring what caused such a movement to happen, but knowing fully well it was not him who caused it, Mortum lept on the opportunity, using his dark energy to surround the mech while it was weakened. The energy soon began to crush the mech from the outside...

The Devastator's shields were still operational, protecting it from the overwhelming amount of dark energy while Selk forced himself to his feet. The shield lowered to allow Selk to fire his chaingun on Mortum, viciously battering the knight with energy pellets, thinking him the one responsible for the sudden explosion...

"Perfect," Kala said, eying Selk as he resumed his attack tenfold on the human, obviously enraged. "We just need to get close enough without being squished. Close range is not a particularly optimal range for fighting a Heavy unit like that..."

Zakai would have come into the fray himself and blown Mortum away already, but he had lost sight of E-doch, and wasn't planning on getting ambushed any time soon. Instead, the Cephian warship circled the battlefield, monitoring the fight. "Bate, you have a new target," Zakai said. "Kill the human. Maybe then we can draw Kala out of hiding..."

Mortum took a few bullets before channeling his energy towards the mech's arm and forcing it to shoot upwards, Mortum's form smoking and some spots burned from the sudden and vicious assault. His arms were shaking, he feeling Selk trying to resist the magic.... and overall, his foe was succeeding. Mortum knew he wouldn't be able to fight this thing much longer, but he had to....

Galaak looked back to the drone, handing it the explosive. The robot took the bomb, staring at it and awaiting its orders, which Galaak provided via his wrist device. In an instant, the droid disappeared with a distortion of light, its cloaking device activated. The robot would be able to deliver the bomb quickly while undetectable. In that way, both Galaak and Kala wouldn't risk serious damage or injury in approaching the Devastator.

"Better tell your robot friend to hurry up," Kala remarked. "Looks like the human isn't going to last much longer..."

Selk, ignoring his right arm, simply fired a pulse blast at Mortum, more than willing to just shell him from a distance until he ran out of energy...

Mortum raised his other arm, countering the blast with his own attack, as the magic then attached itself to Selk's left arm. The chaingun arm seemed to lower, and the pulse gun arm didn't change placement; instead, they both began to slowly implode on themselves from the magic. Mortum soon collapsed to one knee, channeling his strength into the magic in an attempt to remove the dangerous machine's main weapons.... if he could do that, he still stood a chance, albeit not much of one....

Already, the sphere-bodied robot was coming up from behind Selk, putting down the capsules right by his suit's right foot as he was distracted by the armored hero. It sent a notification to Galaak, allowing him to pinpoint its location before speeding off away from the area. The Ascatian saw it several yards away, the bomb right in place. "Kala, would you do the honors?" Galaak said, knowing his ally's vendetta against his pursuers...

"With pleasure," Kala snarled, darting forward, the barrels of his arm-mounted weapons glowing...

At range, his weapons would be of little use against such a small target, so he needed to be closer. Kala sprang from the protection of the alleyway, and crouched, raising his weapons and shouting, "Hey, big boy!" Selk, even as he struggled against the dark magic, managed to turn somewhat to see Kala standing only 30 feet away. "You--" Before he could say anything further, Kala fired a concentrated blast of energy pellets at the bomb next to the Devastator's right foot, hoping his distance from the explosive and shield systems would protect him from the detonation...

The blast went off as planned, the explosions from the concentrated plasma being large superheated bubbles of blues and reds, the expanding wall of electricity released from the energy cell rippling on the outer reaches of the blast. The asphalt was completely blown apart around the Devastator and any loose debris was sent flying. Windows in the nearby buildings and abandoned cars were shattered by the shock wave, which threw Kala back a considerable distance. Galaak ducked down and looked to the floor, the thermal sensors in his suit reading incredibly high levels. Such a blast would cripple even a warship's engines. It was unlikely that Selk was still among the living...
