Carrsk began constricting the perimeter of the TGDA camp closer to the destroyer, which hovered several hundred meters off the ground. He figured that, since the new attackers were capable of burrowing through the ground and could potentially ambush them from below, he wanted all his troops within range of the cruiser's cannons, so it could vaporize anything that came after them...

The reports from both the Wretches and surviving Tickers now alerted the planet's ancient species...and now, deep below the surface, they were mobilizing. One the surface, two Seeders emerged in the sand between the two bases, taking residence behind large sand dunes, to try and hide their presence. The Seeders began producing Nemacysts, the small jellyfish like creatures drifting into the air, ready to seek any target in the air...

Groups of up to 5 TIE Maulers began to leave the force field of the Imperial base. The TIE maulers were fast and deadly which made them good weapons and useful machines. They would be much more durable then their speeder counterparts. Their purpose of course was to look for any secure tunnels or areas so they can mobolize ground forces in so they can nuke the tunnels. There was no doubt they were dealing with something smart and deadly..

The gunships in the air were re-entering the forcefield..they would have to wait for their second chance.

"Commander," one B1 at a mobile radar installation (which was essentially just a pedestal with a radar screen on the top, with a few controls) said, "We've picked up several small lifeforms coming towards us, but rather randomly. They're moving slowly as well." Carrsk, looking over the droid's shoulder at the screen, hissed, "I don't like it. Keep your guard up." "Roger, roger."

As soon as the TIEs left the base behind them, the Nemacysts flew toward them at amazing speeds, using all their energy to pursue targets no matter what. A cluster of Nemacysts now flew toward the TIEs, slamming into the lead one and exploding instantly. Alone, they detonated with the power of a thermal detonator, but in a group, they could pummel the strongest of targets in seconds...

"Sir the targets are in visual range." Carrsk hissed, "Give me some macrobinoculars." He took the binoculars from the droid and put them up to his eyes, watching the ground expectantly. "I don't see anythi..." He suddenly paused, shifting his view upwards, and spotted the distant forms of several Nemacysts, drifting slowly in their direction. "Get the turrets ready. I have a bad feeling about this..."

The Nemacysts waited in the sky in front of the base, waiting. They rarely attacked ground targets...but if any air units emerged, they would swiftly be overwhelmed, the Seeders spitting out Nemacysts every second...

Carrsk watched the Nemacysts for a moment, then barked, "Blast them out of the sky!" As far as he was concerned, nothing on this planet was friendly. The quad turrets opened fire, sending bolts of green laser energy into the air, slamming into the Nemacysts causing several of them to explode in short order. Carrsk watched, his yellow eyes narrowed. "More exploding creatures. Great..."

The Nemacysts sped away from the base, not wanting to simply stand still while they were destroyed, even if their purpose was to blow themselves up. Their job was to control the air completely...ground targets would be dealt with by other means. Within the base, the ground began to churn, sand crumbling away as something tried to enter the enemies' encampment...

Carrsk, spotting the churning sand, ordered every turret on the cruiser and on the ground to turn and prepare to fire on the spot. He barked into his comlink, "OOM-224, I have a job for you and your squad..."

Trandoshans and droids alike all gathered at a safe distance, guns pointed at the disturbance in the ground, ready to fire on anything that emerged. If it made it past the destroyer's cannons first, that is...

Around the edge of the churning sand, a ring of Tickers emerged, numbering at least 16, all scuttling toward any nearby target, flames slowly heating up their back canisters...

The ground turrets fired first, vaporizing the Tickers with a massive barrage of missile and laser fire. Though the Tickers exploded violently, they never got close enough to the infantry to do any damage. Carrsk, however, took no chances, waiting for see what else emerged from the sand.

The TIE Maulers continued to speed away swiftly through the stand, attempting to move faster and faster away from the air threats. The pilots had no choice but to go at full speed..all their efforts were being reduced..the Imperials at the base had to set up several radar instellations in the base to make sure nothing ambushed them from within the force field. A small invasion force was being ready..if they couldnt find anything..they had no choice but to drill through the sand..

The nemacysts sped after the TIEs, endlessly pursuing them through the air.

In the resulting smoke caused by the Tickers, the sand was silent. Suddenly, the silence was broken by a gruff voice. "Boom!" something growled within the smoke, a seemingly rocket propelled grenade slamming into the nearest group of soldiers, killing some instantly while others were thrown away like ragdolls. Another "Boom!" sounded from the other side of the cloud, another grenade slamming into a turret before exploding. The dust settled to reveal four hulking behemoths, the Boomers taking aim with their massive grenade launchers once more...

"Damn it General, were going to lose our men! we have to drill here!" The captain of the Star Destroyer exclaimed. While the general was higher in command..the captain was still in charge of the Star Destroyer, the largest and strongest vessel the Imperials had in the area. The General ignored the comment..they had the tech to drill in the base but they had to make sure they would drill in the right spot. The radar instellations were still checking and gathering information at the moment..

The turret's shield, which covered the front side of the weapon, was disintegrated, but the turret held fast. Carrsk snarled, "Missile turrets, open fire!" The missile turrets shot volleys of fast-moving, anti-infantry missiles at the four Boomers, intending on bringing them down through sheer numbers and power...

A Boomer turned to the missile turret in the distance, firing a shot immediately before the missiles hit. They began spreading out, the missiles hitting the center of the group, causing some to stumble, others to roar in pain as their backs were scorched and burnt. Another, healthier Boomer took aim at the already weakened missile turret, firing a grenade at it, the blast tearing the turret to pieces, the Boomers getting ready to endure another volley...

"There is something underneath sir..scans indicate a great series of tunnels..were not exactly sure how big these series of tunnels are but they are there.." The captain sound as he appeared handing over the newest data. "This is all we need...get the men organized.." The general stated. The general looked at the holographic scene of the tunnels..this was going to be alot harder then he had thought. With several quick moments of preperation..Imperials were given last minute instructions. While drilling at this sight was already confirmed..the troopers themselves remained untold as they only watched their rides prepare to drop them in.

Fordo and his ARC-Unit appeared watching the drop pods being prepared. Two per person but at the same time..a mass ammount of Imperials were going in. A few hundred by Fordo's estimation. Check the tunnels..kill anything they saw..find the center and nuke it. They needed to make sure the tunnels were clear and the planet was still deemed highly hostile. "Heh..the drop pods are one hell of a ride. They use a laser at the bottom to cut through the earth until the destination has been reach..I'm looking forward to it" Rex said as he looked at Fordo.

"I want Delta together, for Alpha..its up to them. We have our own chain of command. Inform the men..have them pick a partner, get into the little death pods and have our *** plunge straight into hell. The regular infantry are going to need help on this one..I know it.." Fordo replied as he walked forward to get last minute instructions from the general.

Watching the battle, and seeing that the Boomers were especially tough, Carrsk hissed, "Let's see how well they hold up against an A-DSD..." One of the massive, tanklike droids plodded forward, firing its top cannon at regular intervals, the force of the explosion, scattering the Boomers like ninepins. The droid's armor was equivalent to that of a starship hull, enabling to endure quite a bit of punishment from the Boomers if they retaliated.

Two standing Boomers fired grenades at the droid continuously, slowly shuffling away from it while they fired. The other two Boomers, despite being very injured, continued to fire, limping toward the droid as they did. Soon the droid was being pummeled by 4 grenade shots every few seconds...
