Zombie Outbreak RPG

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

"We better be quick though. it's not a good idea to be out here at night" said Vergil as he turned towards the hatchback, it's windshield shattered, the charcoal grey paint covered in blood along the back, the passenger side door slightly damaged, the window stained with blood, the 4 smeared lines along it the only semi-clear spot on the windshield, marking where the victim had tried to escape, the rear windshield damaged and impossible to see through, the entire front left side of the car crushed against a lamp post, the driver's door crushed inwards, impossible to open, leaving the passenger side door as the only accessable entrance. it REALLY wasn't an inviting sight. Vergil didn't care either way. the stillness in the car somewhat reassured him that what was in there had either left a long time ago, or was dead....but there was something about the blood on the inside of the window that discomforted him...

"Man, this car is in some pretty bad shape. Whoever is in it must be dead or undead." said John after seeing the sight of the wreckage." Well, lets get this baby open!" exclaimed John while approaching the passenger side door.

Vergil moved past the front of the car, eying the eerie stillness of a vehicle that had once roamed the roads, alongside more than a million others in this city, forming the blood of the city's tarmac and concrete veins. now, defeated and condemned to rust in this hellish place, it was nothing but another part of the sad, chilling backdrop on which the Outbreak was painted. he eyed the vehicle warily, keeping his senses sharp and focused, just in case they weren't alone...

John was trying with all his strength to get the passenger side door opened. it wouldn't even budge. He looked at Vergil, he looked like he was staring into space and daydreaming, but John knew Vergil was counting how many zombies he could kill or something like that. He then hollered at Vergil, "Are you going to stand there twiddling your thumbs, or are you going to help me get the door open?!"

A small section of the reinforced door slid back, the size of a mail slot, where a plastic barrel barely pointed out of it, aimed at the remaining two shuffling zombies, who had returned to randomly stumbling around the building or banging their fists against the door. One was only a few feet from the door...the weapon shot a few puffs of gas at the zombies, barely visible, before being pulled back, replaced by a pair of eyes, watching the zombies. The pointless undead creatures were not in the least effected by the gas, the Professor cursing on the other side of the door, hoping that acidic gas would have the same effect on zombies as it did on humans...

After having crawled on for fifty minutes, the Licker was now crawling his way up the side of an apartment building(not the building the Slasher is in), having found a place that he and the Fastie could stay in to heal from their injuries after the fight with the slasher and being shot by the humans at the police station. It didn't take the eyeless creature long to reach a window(1st floor window, which is in range of the fastie's jumping height) and after feeling with one of his front feet, knew that it wasn't closed. It crawled in through the opening and patiently waited for the fastie to follow...

he was about to respond to John when he caught a bit of movement inside the vehicle, Vergil drawing his hand gun just as the door was knocked open, knocking John back, a zombie stumbling towards him, the cheek on the left of it's mouth having seemingly decayed down to the gums all the way back to the joint of the lower jaw, where it connected skeletally to the uper jaw, numerous chunks of flesh having rotted off of the creature in various places, it's greyed, dead hair having all but fallen off, leaving it's scalp almost completely bald, a few white hairs the only remaining hair, the sides of it's head having long white hair growing thinly down over it's ears and around the back of it's head, thin, visible, blood filled, veins covering it's head eerily, numerous rotten wounds covering it's somewhat ripped, bloodstained clothing, it's thin, rotten teeth soaked in blood, milkey, pupil and irisless eyes staring soullessly at John, a several day old corpse laying inside the vehicle beneath where the zombie had been. Vergil landed a shot in the side of it's jaw, stunning it before landing a sharp mid-height roundhouse kick, landing it square in the chest and slamming it into the front of the car. the shuffler groaned and almost lost it's footing, sliding down a bit, only to be impaled in the eye by Vergil's combat knife. "You ok?" asked Vergil calmly, holstering the gun and making sure the zombie was dead, before pulling the knife out of it's skull, wiping it on the creature's dirty clothing, wiping the blood off and sheathing it again...

John was completely dumbfounded. He then came to his senses and looked a Vergil."Now I'm glad you were standing there twiddling your thumbs. "He said with a smile. He got up and analyzed the corpse." Well, this is definitely not our guy. This poor soul has been dead for several days, our guy called for help sometime ago. Now what are we gonna do?"

Vergil walked over to the corpse in the car, drawing his knife again and holding it by the tip of the blade as he moved John aside slightly. "Well for starts, we need to make sure we don't get anymore..." he stopped talking as he threw the knife, which went through the soft part of the lower jaw and right into the brain cavity, the corpse jerking violently for a moment before falling still. "...surprises" he finished as he pulled the knife out, wiped it on the corpse's clothing and once again sheathed it, looking down at the ground of the passenger seat, finding a few bullets and 2 clips. checking the body, he found a gun on the passenger seat, another wedged under the corpse. "Well well well....looks like we've hit a gold mine. you got a gun?" he said...

John looked at Vergil like he was crazy." During these times, who wouldn't have a gun?" John said while taking out his Glock from its holster." We at least got something out of this other than a dead body." John said, happy they got some ammo out of the encounter. But he was still worried about the man who emitted the shrieks of terror.

reaching into the car again, he pulled out a pair of Berettas, handing one to John and keeping the other for himself, wiping it against one of the few clean spots on the bloodstained car seat before putting it in his coat pocket, and collecting what ammunition there was on the floor of the passenger seat, giving John half of them and removing the clip of the guns he had, slipping a few of the bullets into the clips until they were full, making sure both were fully armed before putting them in his pockets. "Where's your safehouse?" he asked calmly, a distant shuffling sound attracting his attention down the street, where a grouping of about 5 zombies was stumbling slowly towards them, one of them dragging itself along the floor due to the amount of damage on it's legs, the limbs mangled beyond recognition, obviously broken in several places...

John put his palm to his face." My safehouse probably isn't so safe anymore. I forgot to lock the door when I went to go look for the man who emitted the shrieks of terror. The zombies have probably overrun the place by now." John couldn't believe he forgot to lock the door to his safehouse. It was so foolish of him to even go look for the man in danger.

a moan was heard as a zombie stumbled out of an alley not far from the car. "We need to get somewhere safe ASAP" said Vergil, thinking of possible options apart from his own safehouse, not wanting to let someone other than himself know where it was if he could avoid it...

John heard the moan."Where are we supposed to go? My safehouse is probably overrun and all the buildings here are unstable and dilapidated. The only options we have are to go to your safehouse or look around this street for a safe place." John suggested to Vergil. John was looking around the street to make sure there weren't any places he missed that would be suitable. I sure hope we can find a safe house before the zombies come to have dinner, John hoped with anticipation.

A loud gust of air echoed around the street, two large, malformed zombies, which had been slamming their meaty hands against the steel door, were now set ablaze by a roaring jet of flames, seemingly coming from the mail slot of the reinforced door, the two undead creatures roaring wildly as they attempted fruitlessly to put out the blaze, being more intelligent then their shuffling counterparts, but were nonetheless burned by the gust of flames...

Getting up slowly,The Slasher looked around. To his eye, this needed more of a sign of being HIS territory. He walked slowly over to the window, dragging a left over body.Jumping out,he smashed the body against the side as he slid off, causing whatever was left of the blood in it to squirt everywhere, combined with his own scent that was carried in his saliva.Satisfied,The Slasher jumped up once, planting a foot on the wall and climbed through the window, using his scythes to cling to the wall.

Kieran continued through the shopping centre, feeling that he had finally lost the zombie, he had taken a few more random twists and turns and hopefully was well out of its range. He had checked a store map minutes before, finding that there was a hardware store on the floor below him. He just had to get down to it. He hopped over a cafeteria table and made a bee line for the escalator, hoping it wasn't too damaged...

In another part of the city, a survivor is running from a pack of reptilian humanoids. He vaults over a wrecked car. He then comes face-to-face with one of them. He gets extremely terrified, but to his surprise the creature can't see him. It sniffs around him but it can't find hiss scent. It then shrieks an ear-piercing scream at him. He gets so scared, he vaults over the wrecked car. However, in mid-air he is met by an even bigger creature. It pins him to the ground and begins to devour him. The other 4 creatures join in too. The survivor screams in horrible agony as the creatures tear him to pieces. So ends the tale of the unlucky man who met a pack of Komodo Killers and their leader, the Komodo Genocider.

Vergil, finally deciding it was his only option, decided to head for the Safehouse. he was a light enough sleeper not to have to worry about being betrayed, and he could more likely than not impose rationing on John, to make sure his supplies lasted as long as possible. "Let's go" he said as he headed down the street towards an alley which would go through 3 blocks, right to his safehouse. he kept a gun in hand. the street by this point was rapidly being littered with zombies. what had drawn them out was unknown, but he knew that they'd have to move fast if he wanted to have a hope of losing them. the last thing he wanted was to be blocked inside his own safehouse with zombies outside the door...

Meanwhile, the Nemesis arrived at the other side of the barricade, snarling. the dust was cloaking the scent heavily. he'd be forced to move more slowly in order to track the human...

a loud scraping sound could be heard outside the police station, as the Reaper slid down the side of the building, using it's claws to slow the drop, despite it being capable of simply leaping down to the street without worry of injury. it was a way to attempt to scare of potential competition for food...it wanted the humans in the building to itself...

John followed Vergil obediently, knowing Vergil was taking him to his safehouse or to look for another safe place. He had the Beretta Vergil gave him ready, in case a zombie attacks. He put his Glock in his holster, so he could have a hand free. He had put the ammunition in a pack he had at the side of his belt, which kept 5 granola bars because he really like granola bars and they could be an emergency food source. He started humming the tune from a song he used to like before the outbreak.

Meanwhile, the pack of Komodo Killers decided to send one of their wounded to search for a source of food. If the wounded one came back, they would have a source of food. If it didn't, they would follow the scent of it's blood and eat whatever killed it. The wounded one left to search, while the others stayed and waited. They were eager for it to come back with news of a food source.
