The Demon stopped, snapping its beak mere inches from the crow. It stared at it, hovering in place, before screeching angrily. A supernatural. Even better. Not in the mood for talk (if it even could), the Jersey Devil swiped a clawed hand at the crow, trying to knock it out of the sky.

The Crow easily flew up sharply, avoiding the claws. It paused in the air, looking down at the cars below still passing. It jerked back upwards, it's pitiless red eyes staring at the Demon.

"Come come, now... I really am on a busy schedule. I have places to go, stuff to steal, people to torture... Please stop this. I would prefer not to have to hide your body somewhere..."

Hissing, the Devil lashed out, grabbing the crow by its tail feathers and yanking hard, throwing the bird down towards the ground. Refusing to stop, it dove at him, beak open as it prepared to attack again.

The Crow flew down, hitting a passing car. Glass broke as the passengers inside jumped with surprise, feathers flying everywhere. The crow looked at them, showing his red eyes as he lay down on the glass.

"Ughh...."

He hesitated for only a moment, and then shot up with an unseen momentum, flying upwards to the Demon, uncaring to the wreck below he had just caused. He flew up, up, up... And then went inside his open beak.

The Crow stayed there for a moment, curling up into a little ball inside the Demon.

A black smoke came out of the Demons mouth, blaring his vision. It was starting to surround his head, obviously coming out of the Crow...

The Jersey Devil, which was naturally resistant to supernatural attacks, took no chances. Coughing and hacking, the Demon managed to spit the crow out, shaking its head in irritation. It flew after the crow again, hissing and slashing at him with feral viciousness.

The crow once again dodged his attacks, then looked at him.

"Do you feel fear, Demon?"

The Devil growled, chasing ceaselessly after the crow, ignoring its speech. It finally grabbed ahold of the crow, dragging it down to the ground, near an alleyway and slamming it, hard, into the wall of a building.

The Crow squawked out in pain as it was slammed against the wall, falling to the ground with a small noise. People passing by, oblivious to what was happening due to there own desire to shied themselves from the storm, passed by him. He slowly stumbled up, more feathers falling off. He looked up at the Demon. His eyes grew red for a moment.

"Now see... You've gone and made me angry. That was not in your best interests at all."

The Crow flapped it's wings, rising up in the air. It looked at the Demon, rising up in front of him. And then it dove forward once more, only this time it did not go into the Demon. As it got closer, it spread out it's wings. It's blackened feathers grew larger, larger, and then it slapped them together, wrapping around the Demon, encasing it in complete and total darkness.

Zerenski looked up at Wisp calmly, exploding in a cloud of blackish smoke, several shapes of the smokish shadow substance fluttering past Wisp at immense speed, Zerenski reforming in front of her, a pair of large black leathery wings holding him up as he snatched it back, and backhanded wisp with such force she was sent hurtling back to the ground. he hurtled the spear at Thanatos, aiming for his stomach, as he seemingly fell into pieces, shadow-like forms flying down at the ground, reforming. Zerenski snarled. "you sideline fighters are beginning to annoy me..." he hissed. as he looked towards where Drake was last, all he saw was a swirl of smoke-like shadows similar to his own trails, which rapidly faded. a powerful hit sent Zerenski tumbling forward and crashing into a wall, Drake walking out of the shadows. a swirl of shadows and smoke engulfed the hole Drake had made with Zerenski, an unearthly rumbling snarl being heard within. suddenly, a blast of blackish smoke shot out of the hole, slamming into Drake and denting the wall of the metallic warehouse, Zerenski pinning him and bludgeoning him with rapid blows before hurling him across the fighting area in front of the warehouse, Drake literally soaring 20 feet before slamming hard against the ground. "You will regret....disrupting my plans...halfbreed" snarled Zerenski angrily as he began to walk towards Drake, shadows swirling around his form...

The Devil furiously slashed at the wings as they surrounded him, screeching angrily as he attempted to claw his way out of his prison.

Wisp simply disappeared through the floor as she fell, coming up underneath Zerenski and grabbing his ankles as he walked forward, making him trip and fall. Before he could retaliate again, Wisp disappeared underneath the warehouse, where she doubted even he could follow.

Trying to assist Drake, Carter ran up when Wisp tripped Zerenski. Holding the Machete high in the air, he lept forward, bringing the blade smacking down in the Vampires back. He raised it again while standing over him, stabbing the thing again and again with the sharpened blade...

The Crow groaned with pain as he felt the thing inside him try to get free, which only caused him hold on tighter. He flew over the cars still, putting his head inside his wings... A very large bird head would have matiralized out of nowhere, looking at the Demon.

"Must you do this Demon? There's really nothing I can do to you in this form that will majorly hurt you, and I do not feel like turning into my true one. You simply minded Demons are usually not even affected by my Illusions... Must we do this?"

a swirl of blackish forms exploded out of where Zerenski had been, forming behind Carter, Carter being blown forward into the warehouse by a brutal kick to the back which, were Carter a normal human, would have snapped his spine in half. "I see that you didn't hesitate to enlist a child into your ranks...such a coward as to hide in places unreachable to it's foes..." he hissed as he looked at Drake. "She likes to play around" responded Drake simply, Zerenski ignoring her presence, diving at Drake, who swung his armblade outwards, the Vampire's claws clashing against it loudly as Drake struggled to fight his elder half brother, a series of fluttering shadowy forms appearing overhead...

Surprise ripped through the squad, vampires ducking for cover in every direction and opening fire, rattleing shots off at the demon, riddling their comrades body accidently
One vampire, seeing that the demon was going hand to hand, pulled out his Shruikan and ducked under the fire of his allies, moving towards the Demon, Shruikan ready to attack and his free hand ready to block.

The Devil simply renewed its attacks with increasing vigor, now confident that it had the upper hand. It hissed, growled, and screeched, trying to claw away at the crow's wings.

Wisp giggled from her hiding place, and Velkor smirked. "You're one to complain, Zerenski. You do have an annoying habit of teleporting and kicking people in the back."

Dalvengyr kept the body in front of him, the now dead vampire being filled with bullets from all directions. The elder demon looked down, a small string of fire snaking along the ground, originating from his feet, the fire arching toward a nearby car, which was used as cover by his enemies...

Carter landed on the ground with a painful groan. He slowly got back to his feet, holding his head. He watched Drake and Zerenski for a while, and then turned to Velkor and Wisp.

"G... Get that Kid's body out of here..."

He stumbled over to Zerenski, his vision still blurred.

"Hey you..... You.... You ****!"

The Crow was slashed to the ground yet again, nearly ran over by a car. It flapped furiously, getting out of the street. Landing on the sidewalk, it looked up at him. It sighed yet again.

"... Last chance."

the shadowy, smoke-like objects above darted at Velkor, beginning to swirl around him as Zerenski overpowered Drake, swinging Drake to the side in a twisting parry to his attack, kicking Drake in the back as he stumbled forward, Drake reaching his arms out, and doing a forward flip and straightening, turning to face Zerenski, who shot Velkor a glance before turning to face his brother again. "One who is outnumbered must do what he can to even the odds" said the Vampire with a smirk, as he seemed to fall apart into a cloud of bats, all of them swirling above, a literal swarm forming above the fighting area, more and more bats appearing, the numbers present seeming to split over and over until the moonlight was almost blotted out, plunging the area into darkness, an unnatural blackness befalling them, the air growing heavy and thick with a dreadful aura, even lights proving useless in it's midst...

"Regardless of your powers...In darkness, you fall" echoed Zerenski's voice powerfully over the group...

Drake cursed. he knew this trick. it was dangerous. the last team Brimstone sent was wiped out in minutes by it. "DON'T LISTEN TO HIM!" yelled Drake, a low, cruel chuckle echoing around him. "Don't bother, Drake. starting from now, none of you can hear or see any of the others. unless of course, i decide it might be interesting to let some of you see eachother. what i say to you, they won't hear. and what you say...well...it's between you and me alone" came the voice. Drake snarled. this was not good. even his Aura vision didn't work. he, along with everyone else, were practically blind, deaf and at Zerenski's mercy...

"Guys? Drake? Velkor? Nyx? Diana? Carter? Anyone?!" called Spencer. he cursed. "Damned Vampire and his tricks" he grumbled irritably as he smoked the last of his most recent cigarette, flicking away the butt and looking around. "Ah...Spencer...amusing nickname...do they have any idea of who they travel with? i'm assuming they don't judging by their behaviour...it amuses me that someone of your strength, of your...standard, would be a chain smoker...i hope you enjoyed that last one...it may be your last" said the voice in the shadows. "We'll see how well you can speak when i've ripped your tongue out" hissed Spencer angrily. this was frustrating. nothing seemed to work. although his Demonic senses were extremely acute by any standards, he couldn't see, hear, smell, or sense anything...this was unlike anything he had ever come across before...

"Ahh....Nyx, Nyx, Nyx...Drake's one real soft spot, it seems. how handy that you happen to be here, on the battlefield...you have no idea how useful you'll be to me" echoed the voice around Nyx, completely inaudible to the others...

"Ah...Thanatos, was it? amazing what a bit of mind reading can do for a man...we're all on first name terms now...tell me...what do you think of Death?" echoed Zerenski's voice in Thanatos' head, a low, amused chuckle coming from him...

"So this is Diana...i've heard alot about you. word has it Siete saw alot in you. alot of potential...alot of power...I don't usually take others' opinions as bases for my own, but i'm somewhat curious what he saw...perhaps...just perhaps...there was a reason behind his opinion?" hissed the malevolent Scandinavian accented voice in the shadows around Diana...

"So, Carter. Werewolf Vampire-hunter that has an insatiable lust for revenge. tell me. just how many Vampires do you think you'll kill in your life before you drop? for some reason, i have a feeling you've already killed the last one". a low chuckle seemed to echo around Carter as the Vampire Lord began to play his game...

"Velkor...an unusual name, but i suppose in the world where Demons roam, nothing can be expected to be normal...you're a rare one...a Demon who helps Werewolves, Vampires, humans, or combinations of the three...very few i've come across of your particular kind tend to be friendly towards any but themselves...now we'll see just how big a mistake you made by not following your bretheren" hissed Zerenski's voice in the shadows...

Velkor looked around at the dark cloud, hissing, "Nice trick. Apparently you can't fight your own battles. It's kind of disappointing, really. For such a reputably powerful Vampire, you don't seem to like fighting face-to-face."
