Serephir almost chuckled. "Sovereign's 'improvements' are driving you out of your mind, Saren. you have no hope of becoming better than him by your own will. he 'improved' you for that very reason. to increase his control over you. Do you REALLY wish to be used by that machine? to be used by something which, at one time, was created by an organic entity? Sovereign and his kind are bound to have at one point betrayed organic life to ascend to their position. who else could've created them? other machines? what created the machines? Organic life. they have no problem stabbing an organic being in the back regardless of how much they may tell you that you are a partner. you can either end it now and help us stop Sovereign from achieving his goal, or you will be destroyed along with the rest of our kind the moment his plan is complete" he said...

Saren glared at where Serephir was hiding. "I don't believe that, General, and neither should you! I am... I..." Lissarkh stepped out from behind her cover, while Saren was stammering. She put her 'saber back on her belt and raised her hands. "If you're still a real human, you wouldn't shoot me." Saren raised his pistol, but then faltered. Almost immediately, he shouted in agony, doubling over and clutching his head with his free hand. After a moment, he straightened again, pistol pointed directly at Lissarkh's chest, but with a look of horror on his face. "I... can't... Sovereign's... indoctrination... too strong..." Shakily, he raised his pistol to his chin, a quivering smile on his face. "Thank you... Serephir, Lissarkh..." He fired the pistol, then toppled off the platform, blood spurting from the wound. He fell to the ground below, hitting the grass with a dull thud. Lissakrh hissed hollowly, "Serephir, go ahead and open the Citadel. I'll make sure Saren's really dead..." She leaped down to the lower level without another word, then looked down at Saren's body for a moment sadly. "He could've really been our ally, you know. Funny how things turned out." She activated her Lightsaber, stabbing it into Saren's chest, surprised that little blood came out. His ribcage was mostly metal. "Yeah, he's definitely dead."

Serephir walked up to the control panel, drawing a small circular device from a small slit in his gauntlet, and placing it on the panel. the gauntlet computer opened, and Serephir typed in a few commands. in moments, he had the commands set, and hit the switch for the Citadel to be opened, returning the small device to it's place and closing the Gauntlet...

Sovereign sense the Citadel opening, but he refused to be cowed so easily. If he couldn't call in the Reapers, he would at least take his foes with him...

Lissarkh suddenly backed away, almost jumping, from Saren's body as it began to twitch and convulse, red sparks of glowing energy slowly running across its skin. "Um, Serephir? You might want to have a look at this!"

Serephir looked at the body, completely baffled by what was going on. was Saren going to stand up again as one of Sovereign's tools? after what he'd seen had been done to the former human, he wouldn't be surprised. "What's happening to him?"...

Meanwhile, the area around the Citadel was practically clear of non Vardian craft by this point, and the ships were roughly 1.5 parasecs away. the Executioner's PSC was fully charged and prepared to obliterate the Citadel and Sovereign on Serephir's command...

Saren's corpse suddenly stood up, all organic flesh burning away to reveal the monstrosity beneath: a horrid, skeletal, mechanical humanoid droid, the lower half of its skull completely gone, and glowing red eye sockets. In the cavity of the drone's ribcage was a pulsing sphere of red, chaotic energy. The droid growled in a drone reminiscent of Sovereign's: This installation is mine!" Sovereign suddenly crouched, then leaped towards the wall, somehow attaching to the wall, almost like a Geth Hopper, though much larger. Lissarkh hissed angrily, blasting Force Lightning at the creature, but it simply leaped away, landing in a crouch nearby. Turning around, it fired a red beam of energy from its "core," which Lissarkh barely managed to dodge...

Serephir glanced at Sovereign, the humanoid being jerked suddenly towards him, Serephir roundhouse kicking the droid as it got close, the hit landing in such a way that it launched Sovereign sideways and into another wall. Serephir drew his third sword, the black and red blade shimmering ominously. "So the snake shows itself...you've been an annoyance to me, Sovereign"...

Sovereign leaped to his feet, looking no worse for wear. "I will become much more than an annoyance to you, human. That I can assure you of." Lissarkh, while Sovereign was speaking, slashed down at the droid's back with her Lightsaber, but Sovereign reacted swifter than she could, leaping away from the blow and latching onto another wall. Eyes flashing, the former carcass of Saren fired red beams of energy from its eyes, sliding them across the ground, throwing up a large cloud of dirt, the beams heading straight a Serephir...

Serephir moved his sword in the way of the beams, angling it in such a way that the beam rebounded right back at the Droid's eyes...

The beams suddenly stopped, and Sovereign leaped out of the way, the reflected beams scorching the wall he was previously on. Sovereign hit the ground near Serephir, his mechanical leg whipping out, tripping Serephir with surprising strength, before leaping away again, just in time to dodge another blast of Force Lightning from Lissarkh, who was growing increasingly irritated at her inability to hit the droid...

Serephir reached down with his hands, flipping himself back on his feet before he hit the ground. he stared at the Droid, then at Lissarkh. he shot one more glance at Sovereign, pulling him towards him and nailing him to the ground, now focusing his strength on holding him there. "Lissarkh. Now!" he said as he jammed his sword into Sovereign's 'ankle' and 3 feet into the gruond, pinning him in place, his telekinetic Force-like powers further amplifying the blade's already inescapable grip...

Sovereign struggled angrily, but stopped when Lissarkh finally sliced his robotic head clean off. The droid collapsed, the chaotic energy in its "core" expanding outwards and consuming what remained of the droid's body...

Sovereign let out a deep, rumbling bellow as the death of his pawn, who had a direct link o him at the time, rebounded back at him from the inside, shields finally collapsing, the massive ship's grip loosening on the Citadel's tower, just as the installation itself finished opening, revealing the vulnerable juggernaut within...

Serephir gave the order to head back to the shuttle, leading the soldiers back in as the craft's engines roared to life, an immediate Hyperspace vector being chosen to get them out of the blast area as fast as possible...

Lissarkh nodded, running past the soldiers and back the way they had come...

The Geth dropships began scattering, not under the control of the stunned Sovereign for the time being. The otherwise-peaceful droids didn't bother pointing their weapons at Sovereign or the Vardian ships, simply wanting to get out of the way of the crossfire that they believed would develop...

as soon as everyone had gotten aboard the shuttle, Serephir hit a panel on the wall of the shuttle linking him to the Executioner. "Captain. you are clear to fire. i repeat, you are clear to fire the PSC. destroy Sovereign and the installation" came Serephir's order. and with that, the shuttle entered hyperspace...

"Open fire" ordered the Captain, the PSC's bore drawing in a large amount of particles swirling around it, as the bright whitish blue beam was unleashed, the blast colliding with the shieldless Sovereign, the angle resulting in the beam ripping right through Sovereign and hitting the installation, the blinding flash of the cannon bathing everything around it in whiteish blue light, it's intensity rivalling that of a sun, the full force of the PSC being unleashed upon the Reaper and the installation it so sorely sought to control...

The Citadel, amazingly, was not destroyed completely. A portion of the ring center was obliterated, but otherwise, the installation stayed adrift, almost peacefully. Around it, there was no sign of Sovereign, who had been vaporized by the blast. Lissarkh watched as the nearby Geth dropships moved closer to the Citadel. "Let them go. They won't be causing any more harm. I think Sovereign was using them as pawns too."

as the Shuttle, now out of hyperspace and close to the Executioner, slowly drifted into the hanger, Serephir stood from his place. the craft landed, and Serephir climbed out, looking at the officer sent to welcome him back aboard. "Status report" said Serephir as he walked. "Well, thanks to the pincer tactic we applied, we were able to catch the enemy craft in the crossfire and overwhelm them. the Centaur, Achilles and Asad, along with a number of Spearhead Destroyers are damaged to varying degrees, but apart from that, most of the damage was done to the shields, and are swiftly being recovered" responded the Officer. "Very good". he then opened up the gauntlet computer and hit a couple of commands. "Cease fire on the Geth warships. they are no longer considered threats. prepare the ships for a return vector to Trandosha. It's time we found out what's going on with the Empire" said Serephir. not waiting for a reply, he closed the gauntlet PC and continued walking, the VAMCEB platoon following close behind, the shuttle being scanned on the spot for damage or abnormalities, as were the T-20s and remaining Crippler...

Lissarkh followed Serephir, clenching her fists. "Those slimy Imperial b******s have something up their sleeve, I know it."

Revan nodded towards Piett. They intended on showing "everything" they had. The Imperials sent all the data they had recorded along with footages of other battles with the Vong. Several Vong Fleets shown were easily twice as large as the one that just so happened to stumble upon Trandosha. "Call for Reinforcements...chances are the Vong will be back and this time, they are going straight towards the ground" Revan stated.
"If we're lucky if that happens again...we can pull of another Battle of Borleias" Piett responded.
Revan nodded, taking note of the four minute long planetary barrage that completely annihilatied millions of Vong but such an attack reduced over half of a planet to be reduced to molten slag and thousands of Imperial ground troopers were killed in their attempt to retreat..
As Imperial Forces above Trandsoha took a break, they awaited for what no doubt who be a follow up attack. Even if they did beat them back again, it wont without cost..

The Dread Lord snarled in frustration as the bloodied corpse of the unlucky warrior who told of the unfortunate situation. "Blood shall be paid...let them know fear...they will fear the wrath of the Gods" The chilling deathly voice of the OverLord sounded. A target was being determined but either way, thousands of Vong Ships were being prepared to attack..

Grievous crossed his arms, saying, "Only General Serephir has reinforcements. Most of my ships are stationed around Trandosha and Geonosis. I may be able to get the border patrols back here. How you and the Vong got past them is a mystery."
