			the two forward-pointing extensions on either side of the Revenge's main hull began to glow, the twin PSCs on board charging. meanwhile, the hexapulse super turrets on the Revenge and Executioner locked onto the Legacy's Dovin Basals, the thousands of Vardian ships recieving orders to fire at the creatures on the other ships. regardless of the power of the Dovin Basals, the amount of firepower being served out by the combined forces of the Vardians, TGDA and Imperials would undoubtedly destroy them. for extra measure, Serephir contacted both the TGDA and Imperial ships. "This is General Serephir of the Vardian Armed Forces. contacting the Imperial Flagship Annihilator and TGDA Flagship Malevolence. Direct all capital ship fire at the Dovin Basals. if overwhelmed, it won't be too difficult to destroy them. that will leave the enemy helpless. target their flagship. if we can destroy it, it will inflict a significant blow to the enemy and may force them into a retreat. I repeat. Target the Dovin Basals of the enemy Flagship. focus all Capital Ship fire on the Dovin Basals so we can disable their shielding and destroy the flagship"...
the large Manta strike force avoided getting too close to the Vong ships, keeping their combat focused on Vong fighters, while leaving the Vong warships to the main fleet...
the Manticores' main cannons began to glow an eerie red, another volley of nuclear shells being fired, though this time, the shells' heads seemed to be glowing white, numerous plasma bolts slamming into it without effect, the shell, along with hundreds like it, slamming into the turrets of the enemy flagship, obliterating the turret and everything behind it for several hundred meters, the Dovin Basals too distracted to attempt to stop the incoming barrage, the Manticores unleashing hundreds of similar shells, the enemy flagship rapidly losing it's ability to continue firing...
