Persephone whirled around to face the charging Carnotaurus. She aimed her magnum, and fired twice, praying for a headshot. If she could just kill it... then perhaps...

"Yeah, yeah, old man, keep actin' like a child and see how long you last on this island," Riley responded quickly, before adding on, forgetting about the ammo needed at the moment, "them four might be in serious trouble out there. I know, Max, but eventually we'll be down to fightin' with sticks & stones you know, but still, we gotta think about those four first..."

Maxwell continue down the hall and says, "Do you want to take point, or would you prefer I lead the way?"

"I got our rear, man, you take point for now. I'll take it when we find Barnes and the others," Riley exclaimed after a moment, slinging his rifle over his shoulder and drawing his sidearm...

The bullets hit the charging Carnotaurus, but they didn't seem to kill it. Instead, the animal howled and swerved away, its flank smacking into Persephone and sending her sprawling, the carnivore disappearing from sight yet again...

Jack watched the event from the other side of the room, debating whether or not to move and help Persephone. That was when he heard the snort behind him. He spun quickly, but couldn't even raise his gun before he was sent flying backwards a short distance, landing hard on his back. "Sonuvab**tch!" he growled, only to see the second Carnotaurus appear before him, the creature having a nasty-looking wound across its flank, exposing the muscle underneath. Jack grimaced as the animal snarled at him. Even as it opened its mouth to strike, it was interrupted by a voice: "Hey, ugly!" The Carnotaurus turned to look at the doorway, seeing Barnes standing there, rifle aimed at it. Jack quickly scurried backwards as he realized what was about to happen. "Try eating this!" Barnes snarled, firing the underslung grenade launcher...

There was a terrific BOOM as the grenade hit the Carnotaurus in its gaping wound, absolutely nothing to protect it as the grenade exploded on contact. The force of the explosion tore the Carnotaurus' entire left side apart, and it collapsed with a howl of agony, blood and guts splattering across the floor and shelves. Jack coughed with disgust upon smelling the charred flesh. "Jesus Christ, LT! Was that really necessary?!" Barnes quickly helped the stunned Jack to his feet, saying, "Yes. Yes it was. Where's Persephone? I saw Bruce back there, but--" "She's fine. I think. Another of those d*mn things is hunting her over there." "Let's get a move on, shall we? We'll make mincemeat out of that lizard!"

Maxwell nods and points his shotgun forward, following the sounds of carnage. he knows that his spread shots will help clear out any pests that pop up, but he will still need supporting fire from Riley. "Make sure to shoot anything that gets past my blasts, or anything that pops up from behind," Maxwell says. "I don't plan on dying today."

Persephone groaned as she managed to get abck onto her feet. She didn't hurt too much... the woman aimed her magnum everywhere, trying to find out just where on earth this Carnotaur was. She had heard the grenade explosion, and from that, she guesed that the calvary had arrived...

"Got it, but be sure to finish them off if they're only disabled, my AK won't really do much if it doesn't have anything, so I'm usin' my pistol for now," Riley responded, turning on the flashlight on his handgun and watches their flanks...

Maxwell nods and begins to move faster. "Come on, I think I heard an explosion from this direction!"

Jack and Barnes ran over to Persephone, and Barnes helped her to her feet. "Persephone, talk to me! You okay?" There was no sign of the Carnotaurus yet, but that didn't mean it was gone. They seemed to have an annoying habit of popping up when you least expected it...

"Yeah, I'm alright... just had a run in with several tonnes of Meat-Eating Bull...that's all." Persephone said as she looked around. She was rather nervous by now, and the magnum that was still in her hands still had a few bullets remaining. If that Carnotaurs showed itself...

A thunderous bang echoed through the halls, as an enormous dent appeared in the rusted garage door's form near Persephone, frenzied snorts and snarls audible from behind the door, which seemed to be barely holding on...

Barnes looked up at the garage door, startled. "Sh*t! Let's move, now!" He moved quickly away from the door, only to run into some sort of scaly, invisible wall, stumbling backwards, only to have the female Carnotaurus appear before him, glaring down at the human...

Persephone had also startd to run, only to stop upon seeing the Carnotaurus appear. Just great... We're between a trant liard kin an meat-eating bull... She thought as she opened fire upon the Carnotaurus, three bullets aimed right for the big lug's head...

Hiero had not been watching the moniter until the grenade went off, he immedietly looked up and saw the comotion in the armory. "Dodgson, I don't think their fine anymore," he said eyes glued to the moniter.

Another bang and the sounds of twisting metal heralded the garage door flying back across the room, where it slid across the floor before coming to rest in the middle of the hall. A gargantuan head emerged from the now-open door, looking around expectantly. Spotting the wounded carnotaur, the Tyrannosaur bellowed loudly, rattling the facility itself with the noise, before forcing its way inside...

The bullets hit the Carnotaur's large, conical horns, stunning it momentarily. When Barnes saw the Rex appear, however, he simply shouted, "Scatter! Meet at the other side of the room!" Before running to the side, trying to get into an aisle to stop either of the large predators from pursuing...

The Carnotaurus shook its head in irritation, then looked up at the new arrival, surprised. It bellowed back, its scales shifting from a chalky white to a plethora of constantly-changing colors, in an attempt to confuse the Rex...

Riley nodded and ran on after his friend, listening to the two sudden bangs that followed the grenade's detonation, gun at the ready still. "As if this day wouldn't get any better," the merc said under his breath to no body in general...

Persephone's eyes widened as she saw the Rex, before she bolted for the nearest aisle. her heart pounded feriously as she tried to stay alive. There was no way she would end up a meal for either one of the carnivores... she could only hope the Rex would end up going after the larger pey instead of her or anyone else...

Slightly surprised by the Carnotaur's rapid color transformation, the Rex quickly snapped out of it, immense teeth barred as it brought itself completely into the building, towering over the smaller therapod...
