David stood up rubbing his head and said "Yeah thanks kid... huw! watch out!" he pushed the teen out of the way as a white bolt of energy hammered into the ground next to him, blowing the tarmac to peices. David's clothes were torn by the shrapnel, he squinted through the dust to see the Scorpian holding onto the side of a building, where it had been thrown too. It Dropped down, grabbing hold of a a car with its pincer and flinging it at Kevin. David picked up a chunk of rubble which had been blown free by the missile. He threw it at the scorpian but it quickly fired another white firey bolt into it, blowing it into dust sized peices and giveing out a mechanical laugh

Kevin zoomed out of the way and then ran at the scorpian, turning invisable, jumping up above the robotic arahnid and falling down, fists pointed at it's abdomin. On impact, Kevin's fists shook, but the sorpian did not seem to take any damage. Kevin back flipped away from the robot near a hydrant. Inspiration hit him. He jabbed the hydrant, water gushed into the air. Kevin used shrappnel from a destroyed car and directed the water at the robot.

Kevin showed up easily in thermal vision, the water sprayed onto the machine, having little effect except to interfere slightly with its sight. With a sudden whirring and then a crack, another white firey bolt blasted at the hydrant, blowing it into tiny scraps of metal and sending kevin sprawling away. David ran past him and shouted "This isn't like the movies kid watch yourself!" David leapt at the robot, trying to tackle the enourmus machine...

Kevin got up and dusted him felf off. "Yea, The pain in my bottom told me that" Kevin said, running back into battle. He ran up the wall and drop kicked the robot, bouning off because of the vibrating metal. Kevin dodged the quick jabs of the scorpian's tail. "Distract him!" Kevin yelled, making a makeshift plan

David nodded and drew his hand back, the machine turned to face him a moment to late and he punched it square in the head. The scorpian stumbled back a bit, waving its pincers in the air and trying to bat him away. Its tail stopped stabbing and the laser underneath the blade burst into action spraying green bolts of energy at David

Kevin used his great speed and in a mili second, he was on top of the scorpian, pointing it's tail laser at it self. Kevin watched as cracks formed on it's back.

The Scorpian released a deep screech of agony and the laser stopped fireing. Within less than half a second, the tail arced backwards and then spun upwards, the blade upper cutting Kevin across the chest and blowing him into the air away from it. Blood splattered through the air from the strike that had left a long gash where it hit its mark. David took his chance and jumped upwards, he straightened his feet and he managed land right at the spot where it shot itself. The blow caused the scorpian to buckle slightly and the tail lowered. With all his strength, he slammed his fist into the side of the laser, blowing it off in a shower of sparks and earning another metalic screech

Kevin slammed into a wall of an apartment building, hard, cracks branched out from impact and a rough imprint of Kevin's body lay in the wall. He ripped his arms from the wall as well as his legs. He held onto the small ledges made by the force of impact and freed the rest of his body. He looked at his wound and wincced. "The price of doing the right thing, is it worth it?" Kevin asked himself. He saw some kids, 2 around his age, 3 about 7 years old. "It's worth it" Kevin said. Taking a deep breath, he braced his feet on the wall and launched him self towards the fight ounce, grabbing a light pole and ripping it from it's base. Kevin hoisted it up over his shoulders and ran at the scorpian, jabbing the pole into it's back and pole volting half way into the air. Kevin forced the metal pole into the robot's back and through the concrete and aspalt of the street, pinning it. Kevin let him self fall and grabbed the robot's pincers, struggleing to render them useless for a couple of seconds. "Try to find a way to shut it off!" Kevin yelled

David nodded to Kevin and crouched down where the lamp post was impaleing the machine. He grabed hold of its armour and prised it apart. He wiped a bead of sweat above his brow, looking down at the sparking wires. He took aim and slamed his fist into the wires and the scoprian screeched in seeming agony and tried to free its pincers. It dug its legs into the ground and then shifted to the side, snapping the lamp posts base and freeing itself. It quickly threw Kevin away and shook David off. With a roar of anger it slammed one pincer across the top of the lamp post, snapping it off and sending it spinning away. The machine backed away from the two heros and then raidly tuend around, smashing its way into a shopping center... To Davids suprise, there was still some shoppers there. The scorpian ignored the humans and tore through the stands of clothes, hammering stalls aside with hits pincers and quickly ripped open the elevator shaft. It charged in and pounded its way up along it to the next floor. David swore and looked around, wondering how he could follow it. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a motor bike on show. He shruged and ran over to it, quickly mounting it and trying and starting it up (for some reason the keys were still in it) The bike spluttered into life and he reved the engine. He kicked the stand off and roared away towards the stairs, intent on chaseing the Scorpian down till it was dead.

Kevin ran back nto the store just after David drove up the stairs. Kevin looked at the store and the shocked people. He scratched his head and then yelled to the crowd "Sorry for the inconvineance!" Kevin looked to the elevator, ran in side and jumped up to the next floor, grabbing the next door and hoisting himself up to see the scorpian

The massive machine turned to run away from kevin but at that moment, David roared up the stair case on his motor bike, ramping into the air. The Scorpian jumped back, aiming its weapons at him and fireing a bolt of white energy at the biker. David quickly pulled the bike to the right, the bolt of energy barely missing him. It slamed through the glass roof and carried off into the sky. David let the motorcycle drop and leapt off it in mid air. the Scorpian shreiked and dug its legs into the side of the elevator shaft. It quickly scurried up the wall and smashed through the glass onto the roof. Daivd swore as he landed. Mustering all his strength, he leapt upwards through the gap. He just barely managed to catch onto the lip, the broken glass cutting into his hands. He hauled himself up and quickly ducked down by a potted plant. The wind roared past his ears and he had to squint through it when he peaked out. The scorpian was backing away, targeting laser sweeping over everything, waiting for the heros to arrive. David stood up and shouted "catch this metal face!!" He kicked the potted plant with all his might and it blasted towards the machine. The robots head resting on a mechanical arm, looked towards David, its red eye widening. The pot smashed into its face and the machine was throw off the building from the force of impact. There was a moment of silence followed by a loud thud. David walked cautiously over to the edge, looking down at the street. The Machine was lying on its back, cracks spreading out around it. The group of people surruonding the corpse looked up at the Shopping mall. Then they started cheering. At first David wasn't sure what they were cheering about, a war machine had just tore through the city and killed numerous people. Then it hit him that the people were cheering for him and the Boy that helped him...

Kevin jumpped onto the roof and swayed slightly after the brush of action that just occured. He walked over to the side of the building near David and looked at the scorpian. "Well isn't that peachy." He said sarcastically, the mechanical legs scuttered one last time. "So, lets see who sent this thing." Kevin jumpped down onto the scorpain, reading an imprint on the metal."W.W.A" Kevin said annoyed and jumpped up back to the hero. "So whats your name..or superhero name?"

David squinted in pain and put his hand on his bleeding shoulder he muttered "The Hand of justice.... Who are you then..." He had never seen anything like the machine that lay below them. Then again he was never really intressted in the military, it was mostlikely some sortve feild test gone wrong. He grimaced as he remembered the machine when it first appeared... attacking all the people...

"Ive had my share of robots smacking me around" Kevin said. He looked at his ripped uniform then yelled "How am I gonna hide THIS from mom?" He looked at the slash on his chest. "Crap" Kevin muttered, noticing that his regular clothes underneath the costume was also ripped.

david looked down at the Teen and said in a slightly amused voice "Must be hard fighting crime when you have a family to hide from eh? Just tell them that you got caught in the cross fire. Say that a massive robotic and seemly possessed Scorpian attacked you and then a boy with super speed saved your life" He grinned at the kid despite his pain and anguish
