Space E-war

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

The Space Bugs vicious laser assault never wavered, smashing into the Krakens as they headed straight into the line of fire, while the massive Arachnids continued evasive maneuvers. The occasional bug would let out a silent shriek of pain as acid splashed across its carapace, but this didn't seem to stop the insectoids..

"The purpose of holding you here has already been fulfilled. The loss of Courscant is evidence of that." Fox answered honestly, taking another puff of his cigar. "I keep you here because I haven't decided what to do with you yet."

Many Kraken ships were ripped apart by the barrage, but by sheer numbers they progressed. The nearest ships, Hellblaster Krakens, unleashed their deadly payloads at close range; massive globs of acid that acted as a shotgun burst, splashing over the space bug's hides. Their reinforced hides allowed them to push through the attacks to get in close range. The more common Kraken ships, the Doomrippers, wrapped tendril-like limbs around the space bugs as they neared, bringing them toward their gaping maws, which, when latched on, would sooner die then release its prey...

"You and your games..." Revan simply answered in response to Fox's statement. His hands turned to fists as he angirly eyed the other individual in the room. No matter how badly he wanted to lash out, he had to compose himself...trying to stay calm but the whole situation was eating at him...he was losing his mentality. The Sith stayed seated as his mind reminded him of Courscant...he hated this, being like a caged animal and being taunted and humiliated...oh how he desperately wanted to kill his captors..

"Please." Fox scoffed, noticing the clenched fists of the Sith. "Do you really think it is so simple? You would be dead the moment you thought of such an act." he explained, shaking his head. "No matter how much you may hate it, your life is in my hands now. I suggest you show some respect." he concluded, delighting in the Sith's anger...

The Space Bugs fought back furiously despite the casualties, using their powerful clawed limbs to tear apart Krakens that got within melee range. Those that stayed out of the attack range of the Tyranid ships scattered, bringing their eyebeams to bear on single ships while Plasma Bugs below began their assault, blue meteors of energy sailing through space, past the Space Bugs, and smashing into the ranks of the Tyranid invasion force...

"Respect...right...of course...forgive me" Revan stated with sarcasm in his voice. The longer he was around Fox, the longer he felt angered. The Sith turned his head as he looked elsehwere. He couldnt get on it came down to this...this was insulting.

The front lines of the Space Bugs were soon completely preoccupied by the sheer number of Kraken ships. Doomrippers that latched onto them were vomiting genestealers and hormagaunts into the creatures' wounded carapaces, which began to destroy the massive insects from the inside out. The Void Fiends and Dark Prowlers took evasive actions when the plasma bugs began their attacks from the surface, drifting in both directions to surround the planet. Hiveships at the heart of the swarm followed this movement, moving into position to launch spores down toward the planet...

Fox said nothing, noting the sarcasm in the Sith's voice, taking a puff of his cigar.

Space Ripplers sprang from openings in the Space Bugs' hides, swarming over the incoming Gaunts that were being launched from the Doomrippers, either tearing them apart physically, or spraying them with explosive darts that reduced them to flash-frozen bits of flesh. As the rest of the Tyranid fleet neared the surface, the plasma fire thickened, becoming less random and more concentrated on where the threats were heading, leaving the Krakens to the Space Bugs...

the shuttle moved swiftly, soon arriving at one of the landing pads near the peak of Vassek, slowly and gentling hoverinh down, landing gear extending, the wheels touching the pad softly as the engine slowly calmed, the entrance of the shuttle facing towards the path, the doors opening, Serephir walking out, the stasis pod in tow...

Revan sat there as he began thinking. Was he taunting him? Was he expecting him to snap? A trap...trap...the word echoed in his mind as the Sith slowly but surely cooled down. His capture, Courscant...traps, lack of thinking. The man slowly calmed down, aware of what happened before. If he was to ever make it out, he couldnt risk his chances. Patience...opportunity would arrive. Considering Fox didnt say anything, he assumed they were done. "Well sir...are we done? Should I go back to my cell now?" Revan asked, trying to sound slightly respectful while being slightly sarcastic. The Sith didnt even bother to look at his captor as his gaze was elsewhere..

Grievous, Lissarkh, and Mendicant Bias followed Serephir into Vassek, the cyborg asking, "Where are we going to put it? I'm certainly not waking it up in my tower."

"This is your home Grievous. you're more knowledgeable in where to put it than i am" said Serephir simply...

"Right then," Grievous replied. "Follow me." The cyborg led the group into an elevator, heading back down to ground level. Lissarkh stared curiously at the Geth as they descended, wondering aloud, "Why do you think this Geth is so different from the rest?"

The Prowlers and Void Fiends moved into the line of fire, using their own hides to protect the Hiveships moving in. Hormagaunts took the brunt of the attacks while inside the space bugs, but it was the genestealers who fought back, hacking, slashing, and biting anything they could get hold of. Hellblasters continued to release acid globs at their foes from close range, targeting even those who were being attacked by Doomrippers.

Fox took a deep breath, nodding. "Yes, my friend...I believe we are done." he breathed, the two Komodos stomping over to the two...

"Well...it DID repeatedly help us. the last geth i ran into were bent on filling us with holes...not doing the same to our enemies instead" said Serephir...

"Yes, but why?" Lissarkh asked. "And why attack fellow Geth? Is their a Geth civil war going on or something? Do synthetics lifeforms even understand that kind of concept?"

The Space Ripplers kept their distance from the much more aggressive Genestealers, content to blast them apart from a distance, focusing their close combat prowess on the Hormagaunts. Plasma rounds from the Plasma Bugs tore right through incoming Tyranid ships, often tearing through more than one at a time, reducing their hefty numbers rapidly...

"No idea....perhaps....Covenent-hacked Geth? this one's true geth and is wiping the hacked ones out?" said Serephir, putting the idea forward...

"The Covenant aren't known for their technological prowess," Lissarkh replied. "Most of their tech is based off of Forerunner technology, but doesn't expand it's true potential. Their AI are shoddy, they never make droids, and I doubt they're capable of hacking something as advanced as Geth." The elevator soon ground to a stop, opening into a large, sterile white room. Its walls were lined with stretchers, each with some sort of medical device dangling over it. A couple of Super Battle Droids patrolled the room, standing at attention as Grievous stepped out into the room, saying, "This is one of Vassek's med-bays. It's quite secure." He motioned to a large stretcher in a nook on the back wall. the nook itself protected by a shimmering blue energy field. "That stretcher's normally used for emergency patients, but I think we can spare it for now. With the Geth behind that energy field, it shouldn't be able to hack into Vassek's systems."

Serephir walked towards it, opening his gauntlet console and manually overriding the stasis pod, making it move towards the stretcher, the two silver arced bars that generated it stretching upwards, before bending on a join that was exposed when it extended, the stasis pod moved over the stretcher and lowered so it lay on it, the stasis field dissipating and the bars moving to the side, leaving Grievous' machinery to take charge of the situation...

"You may be the one to talk to it when we wake it up," Grievous said. "It obviously knows you." Mendicant Bias hovered over the inert Geth, zapping its joints several times with a thin, blue energy beam he produced from his eye. Each time the beam made contact, the Geth's body jerked spasmodically. A couple more zaps to the machine's eyes, as well as the exposed wiring in the hole in its chest, and the Forerunner AI floated away, letting Lissarkh step forward. Waving her clawed hands over the Geth, she produced blue bolts of electricity, which increased in intensity as they washed over the Geth, which continued to jerk as it was consistently electrocuted. Eventually, Lissarkh stepped back as well, and the energy field reappeared, blocking the group from touching the Geth any more. The Geth's body didn't move at first, when suddenly one of its hands twitched, and its eye began to focus in and out, before blinking back to life, shining brightly over the walls. With the classic stuttering sound all Geth made, the machine suddenly sat up, turned, then stood to face the group, not making any sound as it simply stared at them...
